(This review concerns 北欧女子オーサが見つけた日本の不思議2, by オーサ・イェークストロム, in case Goodreads does this stupid thing where it collapses multiple entries into some type of anthology edition)
General impressions
NB: This book is part of a series. I may or may not have focused my efforts in reviewing the last part of the series.
Rating (Intuitive*): 4
Rating (Weighted**): 3.52
RMSE***(Intuitive,Weighted): 0.442

Format: Paperback
Language: Japanese
Presentation
Art: 4/5 [w:1.5]
Prose: 3/5 [w:1.5]
Design, layout and gimmicks: 4/5 [w:1.5]
The four-panel format isn't one of my favorites, but it does undeniably work for humor. The art is servicable if not world-class, but it is miles ahead of most other humor comics with which I'm familiar (with the exception of some outliers such as Calvin and Hobbes). I was really annoyed by the addition of furigana, which wasn't present in the first volume but is present in the second volume. I find it especially grating when furigana is present for standard readings of jouyou kanji.
Additional modifiers
Page turner factor: 4/5 [w:3.5]
Mind blown factor: 2/5 [w:2.5]
Mood (Humor if comedy, scaryness if horror, etc): 4/5 [w:3]
The humor is on point in a maybe not hysterical kind of way, but it does bring forth a sensible chuckle and one or two guffaws.
*The rating I felt this deserved before thinking about it too much.
