Delano Bowden is in a world of shit! Fresh out of the wilds of British Columbia after spending years with a feral pack of Alpha’s, he’s hoping to reintroduce himself to civilized society by finding a small pack and starting out slowly. Problem? Two seconds into meeting his new pack he is afflicted by the female currently playing Alpha. Not the slow start he hoped for, he’ll have to relinquish her of her lead while not leading her on. He has no intentions of taking a mate. Not now, not ever!
Eleanor Harwood is too old for new Alphas. The matronly figure has already lost her mate and when the Alpha left, she took the helm, determined to care for her pack and lead them. Now, some outsider has stepped in, and if wanting to take the lead from her isn’t enough, he’s declared that she’s his. Well… He’s declared that she’s his mate but one that he has no intentions of claiming, which is fine with her. She’s too damn busy and anxiety ridden to have time to explain to this new Alpha that she had a mate. No, she’ll relinquish control of the pack, but that’s all this Alpha will ever get from her!
My pack territory is in Central Montana, between Stone Crow Estates and the North Fortress. Born and raised in an untamed location that bridges the gap between rolling prairies and majestic mountain peaks, I am born to a family that also bridges the gap between cultures. My father’s people boast a fiercely proud Scandinavian ancestry while my mother’s tribes descend from two savagely beautiful and unique nations (White Clay and Nakoda) that inspire my Skin Walker series.
I'm a huge fan of MMA, boxing, 30 Seconds to Mars, DMX, Nahko and Medicine for the People, and 21 Pilots (“…sometimes quiet is violent”). I also love to read because it encourages me to write. (I hate it when authors add that they love coffee and chocolate. Really? Who doesn't love coffee and chocolate?) Anyway, I love beer...kidding. I don't love beer but we are engaged in a very serious relationship. (Mom, please don't call me when you read this.)
Please leave feedback….well, only if it’s positive. “Keep in mind that I’m an artist and I’m sensitive about my shit! (Erykah Badu lyrics!)

There is such repetition of plot and character types from Book 4 of the series that you might as well skip this one. It also doesn’t help that this author uses the “big misunderstanding” trope over and over (and over) ad nauseum. The heroines of this series are so self-sacrificing that they would defeat their own goals were logic applied.
If you like light shifter-finds-mate adventure and romance, I recommend that you check out series by T.S. Joyce, beginning with Saw Bears.
Susan Bliler is one of my favorite authors for shifter stories. I've read this several times and can't believe I haven't rated it until now. I've got a few more to re-read just so I can legitimately add it to my book count XD. Anyway, this was a pretty quick read, but really enjoyable. The Territory series follows several alpha shifters who are each either looking or establishing their pack, and finding their fated mate along the way.
Ms. Bliler writes solid, alpha, possessive and protective Hs who often take a while to get onboard with the whole 'fated mate' deal. I loved the slice of life bits as Delano and Eleanor got acquainted with each other. This was a slow burn story and I enjoyed that it wasn't full of hot moments as it was more about the relationship than anything. I'll definitely be coming back to this again in the future.
Delano is all alpha male wolf shifter. He walks into a small pack that needs an alpha and immediately takes control. Unfortunately, Eleanor thought she was in control! She soon learns she is not. While Delano and Eleanor fight their immediate attraction to one another, the pack remains in turmoil as outside and inside forces threaten the unmated female shifters. This was a great book. I really liked how the new male alpha and the female alpha complimented one another in strengths. There were a few very unlikable pack members, and it was interesting to see how Delano and Eleanor dealt with them.
I have been reading this and the skin walker series for awhile. I love the way that that the author draws you in and that it has a different spin with allowing you to see into what day to day pack life would be like.
This was an excellent continuation of the Territory series and I can't wait to read more in this series. A fantastic paranormal shape shifter romance with some amazingly scenes.
This book was artfully crafted and uniquely designed to pull you into the pages where secrets and fairytales live and dreams come true for those who believe!
This book was enchanting, enthralling and endlessly entertaining where stubbornness and determination to rise above conflict with a core of steel to get to where love and happiness lives! I thoroughly enjoyed reading this well written storyline with dominant alpha males and generous and nurturing females who are tested in the trials by fire to get to their happily ever after!
So 5th Book.... as you know and if you want to keep on reading these series please take note that its the same old same old main thing Alpha claiming his mate passing throw some issues and hold them to realize theya are meant to be together.
it was interesting to see how Delano and Eleanor dealt with turmoil as outside and inside forces threaten the unmated female shifters and how he takes control of the pack immediately and how Eleanor reacts.
Well I started the series and just couldn't stop so all the reviews are together. This one was interesting as neither the hero or the heroine thought that they needed each other but in reality for things to work they do. They must learn to work together and as there wolves recognise and accept so they will have to learn. Having a strong alpha pair is stronger. This is their storyline, two people who have lead their own lives individually, can they work together to become a whole.
Delano comes to the pack to become Alpha. But it comes with complications as its a young pack needing help. But he is stricken but he's not ready to mate until forced. In this 5book in this series
This book had great potential. It just never got there. The characters did grow of change. The character development was only superficial. I didn’t like either of the lead characters. There was no really passion.
Terrible cover aside, this has one of the hottest claiming scenes in a wolf shifter series. Near the end of the book but worth it.
I like this author’s version of wolf shifters tho she does occasionally alter it a bit from book to book. Or even forget her own rules she set up. Still, she knows how to ride that dominant, possessive, claiming wave real hard.
MMC is sent to help a wolf shifter pack whose alpha has passed and they are in danger of being claimed by others. He essentially comes to strengthen the pack and finds the FMC is acting as current alpha. Good tension, angst, interesting conflict, some miscommunication but it makes the build up to the claiming moment worth it.
I really really love this series and this book is no exception. The hero and heroine are both strong characters in their own right. They are perfectly matched. The storyline was very good as well. I can't wait to read more in this series!
The style of the writing and the way the characters were brought to life. I have a wide range of likes in the type and style of books to read. It all depends on my mood and how I am feeling at the time when choosing what to read.
Continuation of the storyline. Nice addition to the other stories, while having a unique drama all it's own. Ending seemed a little rushed. Still as likeable story.
Delano is ready to claim a pack. He had no idea that a mate would be thrown into the mix. Eleanor was content. She loved her home and her pack. There were a few things that annoyed her. She met Delano under poor circumstances but the quickly adjusted to each other. They both need to learn to communicate better. Really good book. I enjoyed it a lot.
