Sharing my past was the easy part. Working through the issues that stand in our way could be the end of us.Even though I told myself there wasn’t room for love in my life when I had so much to prove, I couldn’t help but fall for Cole Mathews. With his gorgeous, whiskey-colored eyes, dark shaggy hair, and dimples to die for, Cole is everything I never expected to find. And he just so happens to be one of the nicest guys I’ve ever met.Just when our relationship couldn’t feel more perfect, someone from my past unexpectedly shows up at Western. Luke Wellington is the one guy who saw me at my worst last year. He’s also the one who can ruin all the painstaking progress I’ve made this semester. But I’m not the only one with someone from my past crashing into our future.Cole’s ex-girlfriend, Jackie, is back in town and she’s here to stay. Once upon a time, Jackie and Cole were best friends and first loves. Jackie may have hurt Cole, but they have a lifetime of friendship and memories that are impossible to compete with.Only now do I realize that telling Cole about my past was the easy part. Working through all the issues that now stand in our way could be the end of us.

this book was ok. the first one was better. i do not understand the point of luke in this book. he needs to stay in his lane and back off. it was kind of pointless to have a second book. there was just added drama for no reason. i didn’t like cassidy as much in this one since she was being with luke kind of instead of cole. like what are we doing?!

Wild Ride

This book started hot and heavy and did not quit. I absolutely love Cole and Cassidy and when Luke and Jackie are thrown into the mix it throws their relationship into a tailspin. Cole is such a good guy and it's heartbreaking to see what's happening. This book hit a lot of nerves for me and I totally sympathized and hated them. Cassidy was very naive and childish at times making it hard to swallow. Highly recommend if you like a young adult romance with conflicting drama, hot and steamy romance, and a relationship that is constantly tested.

This one took me on such an emotional ride. I loved how loyal Cole was, even when Cassidy couldn’t quite see her own worth. It was frustrating watching her miss all the signs that Luke wanted her, and even harder knowing that Cole saw it too but couldn’t do anything about it. I understood why Cassidy kept Luke close, but she was definitely a little close-minded at times. Still, it was such an enjoyable read overall. I felt for both of them and was so happy that everything worked out in the end.

I don't know if it's just me who found it odd how Cassidy claimed to love him while catching feelings for another guy. Luke was definitely using the connection to get close to her and Cole deserved better. Her thing with Cole while they were on a break was also not something you do when you love someone else.

One star is for Cole, the only redeeming character, and the other star is for the MC’s friend who decided relationships weren’t for her and just kept boning that dude because he was good at it.

The rest is a tragedy. Everyone should’ve just ended up single.

Cole in the first book was great Cole in the second book I hated. He was keeping just as many secrets and he has the audacity to make her feel bad. Then he started parading girls around in front of her after they broke up and ignored her. This book was terrible

I started reading Jennifer's books with King of Campus and I loved it so much I immediately looked up her other books. I started Stay and fell in love with Cassidy and Cole so I was excited when I saw there was actually another book in the series. I enjoyed the book but I found I wasn't glued to it. I took my time reading it. I guess I have to say what made me keep putting the book down instead of finding reasons to keep reading is there were just to many "head conversations". Either Cassidy, Cole, or even Luke would be meeting with another character and it felt like they had more thoughts/conversations in their head than the actual person they were meeting with. I kept finding myself skipping a sentence or two (and I almost never do that) just to get back to what the characters in that scene were talking about. I have to also be fair and say that I read 3 of her books within a week and half or so and maybe they were all like that and I just got burned out by the time I got to Don't Leave. I'm in no way saying it's not a great read. I like how she wrote about Cole and Cassidy both having their own issues from their past to deal with and Cassidy made some bad choices that she needed to own up to. I loved the message that everyone has done things they can't take back and sometimes good comes from that. After I take a small break to read a few other books I will look up more of Jennifer's without a doubt.

I love Jennifer’s books.
I don’t typically live duets. That’s the only thing about this that has me dinking it down to 4 stars—

Cole & Cassidy are great together but it’s also very realistic to find other people attractive when you’re 19/20, in college… I love how Sucevic gives us an amazing couple but also some dash of realism. I just wish I didn’t have to read 2 books to get the whole story.
