About the author

Oh! great, whose real name is Ito Ōgure (大暮維人 Ōgure Ito) is a Japanese manga artist most recognized for the manga series Tenjho Tenge and Air Gear. In 2006, he received the Kodansha Manga Award for shōnen for Air Gear. Apart from working with manga, he designed some of the alternate character outfits in the PlayStation 2 version of Namco's 3D fighting game Tekken 5, and a guest character in Soul Calibur IV named Ashlotte.

His pseudonym "Oh! great" is a play on words. His pen name, written in Japanese order, is "Ōgure Ito", which is pronounced similarly to and can be romanized the same as the Japanese rendering of the English words "Oh great," ōgurēto. Furthermore, "Oh" can mean "king" in Japanese, making it possible to read the name as "the great king".

Uma obra que apenas um adolescente cheio de hormônios poderia ser capaz de fazer. Em todos os momentos tem algum personagem falando que vai matar o outro ou dando pancada sem motivo algum, o "humor" desse mangá é ter os personagens fazendo caretas extremas e estúpidas, tem um personagem que é um estereótipo racista e que sempre fazem algum comentário racista no mangá sobre ele, garotas estudantes (e algumas vezes mulheres) ficam peladas ou em roupas extremamente sugestivas com uma frequência que me faz pensar no quão desesperado é o autor em ver estudantes peladas, já que tem uma garota que só existe pra ficar nua ali no meio, de vez em quando jogam ela pra fazer alguma coisa "foda". É um projeto de uma história, não tem ritmo e cada capítulo parece desconexo do anterior, eles não explicam direito as coisas e não tem química nenhuma entre nenhum dos personagens, nem dos que eram pra ser amigos, já que constantemente lutam um contra o outro ou fazem questão de colocar o outro pra baixo. Sinceramente uma perda de tempo colossal, o traço é bom, mas não é constante, ele muda o estilo toda vez que vai fazer um painel "engraçado", mas ás vezes muda sem motivo algum, não tem nada de interessante na história e nenhum dos personagens é bom, todos são pervertidos que ficam tentando ver de baixo da saia das garotas, ou são garotas que só estão na história pq tem peito e bunda. Desprezível, o lixo do lixo, um dos mangás que eu mais odiei ler na minha vida inteira, tão sem propósito e sem alma quanto um peixe no deserto.

Oh man! So in this volume I was reminded about these kids ages and wow they are YOUNG (Kazu: 14), which makes the content crazy to me. They've just graduated and are now getting their team up and running. Really that's what most of the volume is about, along with their first legit fight as a team. We also get some mysterious vibes from Agito (though I'm not sure if I picked up on it because I KNOW what's going on)

The ending does leave off at a bit of a cliffhanger, introducing us to a new character that I can't help but compare to Ikki. He also seems super cool even though he's in a wheelchair. Obviously he was uber cool before and has kept up with his skating??

And like always, very fun(ny)

Nach langer Zeit endlich mal wieder ein Air Gear Band gelesen xD Die Zeichnungen sehen trotz der Anfänge von Oh! Great's Zeichenstil wieder toll aus! Die Story nimmt mit jedem Band mehr Facetten an, ich bin gespannt wer eigentlich alles Könige und Regalia der Part Wars sind (vermute das Ringo auch ein "König" ist xD). Neue Kämpfe wurden geführt (gegen die Silbertigergruppe) und auch eine neue wichtige Figur wurde endlich (!) in diesem Band enthüllt, nämlich: Sora. Werde bald den sechsten Band lesen und lasse mich überraschen welche Dimensionen die Reihe noch annehmen wird ;P Vor allem nach dem fiesen Cliffhanger von diesem Band >,<
