How well did the Sherman really perform? At 48 pages, it is the only question asked and answered thoroughly. The operational history across 4 theatres (Africa, W-Europe, Italy abd Burma) shows its strengths and weaknesses per environment. The reassembled recollections of twenty or so veterans (many of whom could compare with Churchills) further discuss armament, engine etc... Of a reliable machine that was "a jack of all trades and a master of none" in numbers which German industry couldn't match.
