Simon Kenton: Kentucky Scout

Rate this book
No part of American history is more exciting than the 1770's, when Europeans first settled west of the Appalachian mountains in the land now known as Kentucky. Simon Kenton's story is synonomous with the story of that era. His life of excitement, adventure, and danger on the frontier made him one of the leading heroes of that time and eventually, a Kentucky legend.

Read this as research for my work in progress. Thomas Clark - the one name in Kentucky history we all know - is a very good writer and an even better historian. The subject, Simon Kenton, is known in KY but little elsewhere. We should all read of his life - brave man - incredible life.
