Research scientist Shea Caldwell has always had a thing for security consultant, Derek Oneiros. He’s smart, handsome, and built like a Greek god. As attracted as she is to him, though, she’s afraid to let him into her bed – because she’s dangerous when she sleeps.
Derek is known among his brothers as “The Machine,” yet his carefully cultivated control is put to the test whenever he’s around Shea. The woman is as beautiful as she is intelligent, but they’ve always kept things professional – until Derek learns why. Shea is sleepwalking again, but what she doesn’t know is that he may be the only one who can help her. For he is a Greek daemon, and he’s charged with protecting her dreams.
With Shea threatened, Derek makes things personal, and their nights together turn steamy and intimate. He’s ready to battle against the Somnambulist that’s been controlling his lover in her sleep, yet is the night creature really causing all the harm? When Shea’s groundbreaking research notes are stolen, it’s clear that other evil forces may be at work.
When taking the Myers-Briggs personality test in high school, Kimberly was rated as an INFJ (Introverted-Intuitive-Feeling-Judging). This result sent her into a panic, because there were no career paths recommended for the type. Fortunately, it turned out to be well-suited to a writing career. Since receiving that dismal outlook, Kimberly has become an award-winning author of romance and erotica. She has written for seven publishing houses, both domestic and international, and has recently focused her efforts on the exciting world of self-publishing. When not writing, she enjoys movies, sports, traveling, music, and sunshine. In her mind, a beach, some rock 'n' roll, and a good book make for a perfect day.

I had not had the pleasure of reading book one in this series but Kimberly's second book was so well written with such excellent detail and explanations about the world of the Oneiro's, Sommambulists and sleepwalkers without the explanations making the reader feel silly for needing a quick overview of what was going on and who was who.
Moving on.......
Sometimes, when a reader misses out the first book in a series it can be difficult (not impossible) to grasp the thread of what the main story revolves around and what has gone on prior.
I was delighted to say that this book was delivered in a manner that if like me you did miss book 1, it still flowed seamlessly. There were so many inner developments occurring within this book. You have paranormal romance I feel at the core. There is also suspense and mystery !. I found myself devouring each page rushing towards the finale !!
Our story features Shea (scientist) and Derek (security consultant for Shea's organisation). I loved both of these characters, they were quite believable in their interactions, progression and dialogue with each other and the other characters within the book.
Shea is a women carrying so much unnecessary guilt and she is so focused....no, dedicated to putting right the wrongs she has done (or so she perceives) with her career in research. Ah, Shea at several points I shouted to my kindle.....just off loads sweetie.....Derek's shoulders are ABSOLUTELY broad enough to take the load !!.
Derek, sigh.....lets just say Derek is juggling alot of hat's.
There is well written chemistry between our leads and the back characters are witty and their interactions with both Shea and Derek were amusing. The fact that Derek has several brother did not escape my attention and I am REALLY hoping that each of those hotties gets their own story.Sex scenes tasteful and overall a really enjoyable story line.
The pace flowed and the book wrapped up great.....no cliffhangers !! Thank the powers that be.....you know I hate those !!
Would I recommend.....absolutely. This story is perfect for paranormal romance lovers who just want that little bit more......
4 "You can follow me in my dreams anytime" Stars from me.
Well done Kimberly and many thanks Netgalley for the opportunity
One can’t help but hear the Andrews Sisters singing softly in the background as you read Kimberly Dean’s second offering in the Dream Wreaker series. She started the series with a firm foundation, but surpassed her accomplishments with In Her Wildest Dreams. This sexy, saucy romp mixes fine storytelling with a nice spin on Greek mythology, a little mystery and some truly inspired love scenes...

Research scientist Shea Caldwell is succesful and happy, until a sleeping disorder from her past comes back to haunt her. She doesn't want to believe her childhood problems are back but when her sleepwalking puts her on the trail of someone threathening her professional life she hires Derek Oneiros, security specialist, to investigate the matter, not knowing he is a Dream Wreaker who can also solve her sleeping problems. Derek and Shea know each other professionally and are attracted to each other but obstacles and misunderstandings keep them apart until the chemistry between them can't be denied any longer.
This second book I've read of Kimberly Dean, which is also the second book in the Dream Wreakers series, has left me with ambivalent feelings. I am not highly enthusiastic, but I did like the book. There were parts that were intriguing and read like clockwork, especially the ones concerning the suspense plot, the sleepwalking and the concept of the Dream Wreakers and dreams. I was truly fascinated by the way Ms Dean weaves mythology and the science of sleep and dreams into these books. She is also able to mix seemingly separate subplots together towards one mutual conclusion. The first part of the book was a bit too slow-paced, dragging on a bit. This changed when Shea and Derek really joined forces to fight the problems haunting Shea and when some of Derek's brothers joined in the action. In the main characters there was definitely attraction and sexual tension but for me it lacked intensity in the emotions between them. The intensity just wasn't there enough for me, maybe this is because I'm a spoiled reader with some favorite authors who crack the intensity up to a very high level. Another thing that struck me was that the book is put out as an erotic romance and although the love scenes were wonderfully written, hot and fitting the story, enriching it, for me they were no more explicit than in the average historical or paranomal romances written lately. I can say that I really liked the book, the plot and the worldbuilding but it didn't blow me away. It was a nice, average read for me, as with book 1. It did again leave me curious about the other Dream Wreakers' stories because the bantering and bond between the Oneiros brothers, especially the antipoles Derek ("The Machine") and Zane ("the Screw-Up") was great to read.
In conclusion, I like Kimberly Dean's worldbuilding and storytelling, but I miss something in her main couples to keep me enthralled to their romance.
I thought this was pretty good. I like to call these books "fluff", its what I read between larger novels to keep things interesting. What I liked was that it was a new story (no vampires or secret agents protecting a shell of a women) and that it incorporated Greek mythology...how fantastic.
The story: A women has had a problem with sleep walking; or rather a somnambulist, her whole life. Her family home was destroyed in a fire, along with injuries sustained by her father. Being that he was a burn victim it forced her to become involved in medicine and the potential treatments to heal victims with similar injuries. This fire, which she felt her "sleep walking-self" created, has created an insatiable fear inside her. The security of her office building is handled by the Oneiros Firm (enter love interest), thankfully for her its owner is a Greek god of sleep (the author does a good job of making this seem not TOO coincidental). They become involved in a tricky task of trying to rid her of her sleep-intruder, all while he is in her bed.
Two things I really enjoyed: 1) the author did not make it seem that HE was the only option for safety. Shea (the main character) is a women of science and has seen a shrink, taken sleeping pills, and has made arrangements to check herself into a sleep clinic. 2) It is very apparent that at first it is all lust between the two characters, but you can almost feel them falling in love throughout the story. Nothing makes me angrier then when two strangers just fall in love for convenience sake of the book.

As a person who suffers from unpleasant dreams (at times), it's rather disturbing to think the creatures visiting me are real. That's reason enough to pray for insomnia.
On the other hand, it's also rather reassuring to think of having your very own dream guardian. So...I think I will forego the caffeine and just succumb to my body's need for slumber, restful or not.
For my first introduction into the writing world/mind of Kimberly Dean, I have to say she impressed me. She weaved a rather engaging tale. The plot was thought out beautifully and didn't really raise any red flags for me. Yeah, I knew who the real guilty party was in the story but the why kept me reading. Plus, the scenes between Shea and Derek were spicy!!
Heck, I adored all the Dream Weavers.
Brilliant read, Kimberly!!

This is a new to me author so I am not bias on this review.
That been said, wow! It's been a long while since I read a new author to me that has capture my attention like this. I have to say that I requested this book from Netgalley just because of the cover (which I shouldn't keep doing since most books have better covers than story) and I can say with certainty that I made the right choice.
The story had me on edge from the beginning and it kept getting better with every chapter. The heroine was a strong woman and even with everything going on with her she kept it together and thinking logically (she was a scientist after all) and the hero was this intense alpha male that you just wished was real and looked at you the same way he does the heroine.
I didn't know this was the second book in a series but that didn't in anyway affected the story. You don't need to read the first book to understand this one. That been said I CAN'T wait to read Cael and Devon's story!
Wow! Interesting read that will make you swoon and fall in love. Dream Walker definitely has it! The suspense and romance. What I love about this book is that the characters and story are very interesting and I was easily get attached to them. The mystery is also good, it kept me guessing who the mystery suspect is and all. Ms. Kimberly did a great job in this book! Can't wait too see what the other books in the series are!
I truly enjoyed this fast paced story with great characters. Having a heroine as a research scientist is kind of cool because she controls her life and would not back down no matter what mystery, she runs into. This book has many twists and turns which readers can guess but will not understand until the end. I am looking forward to the next book.
New to me book, Really catchy and pleasing. I did not expect that to come up about the somn at the end. I started with this book I may in the near near future read the other book but I can not justify for the price. I have too many other books. Wish there was more dream walking with the two of them.
