Time After Time: Book II

Rate this book
One might think that leaving my husband and moving halfway across the country was enough to give a girl a headache. But now I have a mysterious benefactor sending me money. The truth is, I needed the money. I was near starving and my cat was starting to look at me like I would make a nice meal if I didn’t feed her soon. Then some mysterious billionaire showed up at the restaurant where I work. The way he looked at me told me more than I needed to know. It has to be him who sent me the money. And I don’t know if I can give him what he wants.

This is the second installment in the Crystal Jenison episodic serial series.

I received a ARC copy of Time After Time #2 for an honest review.

This is one of her best books yet that I have read. It's a great story that will start you on an emotional ride.

The story is well written and the charters are great. I love the story line.

Of course it's to short and has a hell of a cliffhanger. I can't wait to read book 3.

Warm, inviting narrative that completely envelops the mind even when it's such a short story. I groaned when I saw the number of pages, yet everything that happened was solid. It felt like big progress in the complex relationship between Crystal and Chase. Then I could only be sorry it ended until part 3.

This second part brings events that shatter the distance between this couple-in-the-making. Chase is bold this time, yet also tender and honest in telling Crystal his intentions. I could understand her fear and reluctance, yet she's also brave and never cowers in being the free woman she wants to be. I loved the mystery, the tension, how they get closer and more intimate, and the danger that's coming. I really want part 3 as soon as possible.
