Bad boys love bad ideas. It's kind of their thing, isn't it? Ethan's no exception.
Rule #7 – I don't care what you've done before. It doesn't matter. It's about what you want to do now.
I'm really bad at being a good girl, aren't I? I blame Ethan. He's corrupting me. It's the perfect excuse, but I'm not sure how much longer I can keep using it.
"I think that's what bad boys do, though," I say, playing Devil's Advocate. "It's in your job description: Be as rude as you can, as often as possible."
"Maybe," he says. "How about good girls? What are they supposed to do?"
"Become corrupted by bad boys," I say. "Haven't you even read the bad boy handbook, Ethan? Gosh!"
This starts crazy hot and becomes comical as they are nearly caught in a compromising position. I love what follows! 😂💥 Honest conversations and all. 😂
I listened to an author's copy of the audio book with CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh leading the charge. Both are well suited for the characters. Duet narration would've made it better but it's still good.
This was definitely the funniest one. I knew we'd be hearing from Jake again. Ashley's mom doesn't strike me as the brightest person though. I thought the message made it pretty clear he was blackmailing them. Also the terms Bad Boy and Good Girl are getting used waaaay too much. But I still love Ethan and Ashley and their story.
Book seven and a new season and Unfortunately I didn't click with this one but felt it was an important book in the series. With Ashley's mum now aware of the situation and what has been happening it really did shake some things up and the vibe of this book was very different. Things are more out in the open and Ethan and Ashley are now dating officially. This book did really focus heavily on the fact that Ashley's mum now knows and I have to admit that I still love her as a character. I felt some of the scenes between her and Ethan were awkward and weird but I guess that's the whole point of those moments, however, the writing for me just felt a little off and weak in places. I understand what the point was and what was being done but I don't think I like Ashley's mum playing mum to both of them and how aware she is of their sex lives she felt so off.
I liked some of the moments between Ashley and Ethan but I wasn't fully feeling the romance in this one. I am interested in seeing where this story goes and how their relationship develops in this new stage with fresh dramas sure to come and I'm interested in seeing the role Ethan's dad will play.

Author Mia Clark says to consider this book the beginning of season two for a TV show, and that is a really good comparison. I hadn't read the previous books before starting Pt. 7, but I wasn't lost and could easily understand what was going on. I like this book enough that I want to go back and see how this relationship developed.
This book is funnier than I expected. Ethan's POVs and running commentary crack me up, but they also reveal the truth of his feelings for Ashley. He gets surprisingly emotional in some really touching scenes. Just because the book is an erotic romance, it doesn't mean it can't tug at the heartstrings, too.
The long scene in the pool room is hot and then it turns hilarious with the parents' arrival. They really need to get a new pool table or at least get the old one recovered.
Consider this 2nd season premiere a big hit.
I received this book for free in exchange for an honest review.
I cant stop smiling like a goof-ball. This book, along with every other book in this series has me smiling, giggling and biting my lip till its sore. :) i love Ethan! He's not only sexy, but sweet and crude, and also protective over Ashley which i find sweat as f#%k! Ethan loves the term "...as f#%k." Ex. 'Gorgeous as f#%k, sexy as f#%k, cute as f#%k'...etc. -and i love it! Ashley's mom made more of an appearance in this book and i loved that too! Shes beyond funny and cool. Almost too cool to be a mom, more like a really good friend. 5 poor-pool-table-stars! :) onto book 8...
Once u start reading u can't stop, can't wait to see what happens next. It's their time, they've been holding back feelings since the second grade. Now they're adults, I'm routing for them. No more holding back follow their hearts, hopes and desires. Sometimes dreams can really come true. Can't wait to see how it all turns out...
Yup.. Still quite invested in Mia Clark Stepbrother with Benefits Saga as Ethan and Ashley journey continues to be quite hilarious and spicy with amazingly good narration!
CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh made this audiobook so much fun listening you don’t want to miss it!

Audiobook Review 🎧 Stepbrother with Benefits Book 7 of 20: Stepbrother With Benefits Series
Listening Length: 1 hour and 55 minutes Author: Mia Clark Narrator: CJ Bloom, James Cavenaugh

Ashley and Ethan story. 🩵
The story continues where they are at home and going at it when the parents return.
It also has them trying to have a serious discussion about their situation whither they can make whatever they are doing work. All this while Ethan pulls out a contraption with every intention of giving her all the Ooos!
BAD BOY GOOD GIRL ! Or is it the reverse?
Working through Rule # 11….
“I’ll make her naughty as sin” Ethan ~
I was laughing so hard as the parents return and find them in the pool room when Ethan try to explaining the situation to his dad who isn’t in the know about him and Ashley relationship……Hilarious!
Why is the Vibrator louder than the Vacuum? 🤣
Pure Comedy when they have an entire conversation about Ethan with him standing there!
Now it’s more Boyfriend with Benefits than stepbrother with Benefits shenanigans!
But listennn!! this line below with Ethan confession had me swooning!
✨”Anticipation?" she asks, giving me a silly smile. "What's that?"
“I've got to tell Little Miss Perfect Grades the definition of anticipation?" I ask. "Holy f**k, the world's coming to an end." “Shut up," she says.”
I know what anticipation means! I didn't think you did. Have you ever waited for anything in your entire life?"
“Yeah," I say. "I did. I've waited for you since the second grade."✨
Swoon!
"✨Alright, rule number eighteen. What is it?"
"We have to be open with one another,"✨
Yeah these two seem to be heading in the right direction despite them claiming that they don’t know whatever they’re doing.
Every single actions and feelings of the characters is made clear as CJ Bloom and James Cavanaugh continue their incredible way of storytelling, Im totally hooked!
Recommend starting with book 1 in the series for better understanding and listening pleasure! But be very prepared, this book is a part 7 of 20 .. yes! 20 series …..
"Don't make this worse for yourself princess. What I've been thinking is I've heard a lot of good things about something you might know as anticipation , and I thought we could put it into practice starting tonight." -Ethan
This dialogue resonated with me on a personal level. I mean, damn...I love the sexual anticipation thing too. Drives a girl crazy, you know?
Moving on...
This book was another banger! From the beginning, as always, I was hooked. Ethan really likes that pool table, doesn't he? On the other hand, the scene that came after made me laugh. Just imagining being in that situation is so awkward.
The storyline is a little different now that Ashley's mom knows whats going on and Ethan's dad doesn't. The suspense building up to what his reaction is going to be, is giving me anxiety.
Especially because of how he reacted in the beginning of the book with all his suspicion. I think his reaction will be a lot less heartwarming than Ashley's mom's was but they'll get through it, I think. The books have been so problem free so I'm hoping no severe problems arise.
I'm also wondering what lengths Jake will go to to get what he wants.
The romance between Ashley and Ethan is so magnetic. It grows stronger in each book and it's just so cute!
I hope it stays that way but I have a feeling it will
Okay so, after a little deliberation, I have decided to edit this review a little.
Don't get me wrong, this series is pretty amazing. I still rate all the books five stars but..I'm getting a little sick of the story. I feel like it's going to drag on forever so I have decided against finishing the series. There are 20 books or so and I'm almost positive it's all of Ashley and Ethan's story. Which is great and all but I don't really want to sit through this for that long. So for now, I'm saying goodbye to Ashley and Ethan (LOL) but who knows? Maybe I'll read the other ones another time
Not a whole lot happens in this one. Just a few scenes right before and just after their parents come home.
So not very exciting. Just okay.
We still have the kind of weird writing style and they are both kind of dumb sounding. But I'm still here for it. Want to see what happens with them. Also I took a little break from reading these after finishing season one and I found myself thinking about them and wondering what's going to happen.
Overall not the strongest start to season two, but I'm curious how things will go with telling his dad. Then there's the Jake thing hanging over their heads. And what's going to happen when summer is over and they go back to different colleges? Looking forward to seeing what happens.

I really liked this slice of life. It was entertaining and enjoyable even though it's more like an episode of a TV show than a book. A book to me has a distinct beginning, middle, and end while this book just stopped. The characters were interesting and you got to hear from both of them. Ashley allows Ethan to talk her into doing things that she knows are a bad idea. Her mom was so wonderful and crazy and funny. The conversations between the three of them were interesting, sweet, and hilarious. I laughed a lot during this episode for sure.
I thought the story was interesting but I wanted more. The narrators did an excellent job, especially because of the way the story is written, it's as if the characters were talking directly to you as the listener (or reader). It's smutty and short but good. I recommend listening to this audiobook (or reading the ebook).

This is book 7 in Clark's Step Brother with Benefits series and while the whole taboo of step brother isn't always my thing, Clark and these narrators just has a way of making these characters so loveable. This is book 7 and I do recommend reading / listening to this series in order and each book captivates in it's own way. Plenty of steam but some laughs and sweetness too. I love this balance! I also adore this dual narration and think these narrators are perfect to be Ashley and Ethan. Completely hooked on this series cause I love the good bad boy Ethan is and can't wait for more!

Ethan and Ashley are trying to act as if they're not dating, going back to being mean to each other. Her mother is okay with them dating, but his father doesn't know yet. Ashley and Ethan are hilarious together, and Ethan's dirty mouth is hysterical... Everything with him is _____ AF. But he's falling for her for real, and is so sweet to her. CJ Bloom and James Cavenaugh continue to provide wonderful narration, especially Ms. Bloom's impression of Ashley's mother. The saga continues with Ashley and Ethan. Now that Ashley’s mom knows what is going, on, she’s about to get another surprise as to why Ashley went out of town in the first place. So far, Ethan’s dad does not know about the relationship or the fact that Ashley was being blackmailed. What will Ethan’s dad say when he finds out that truth about his son and stepdaughter? Will he be understanding like Ashley’s mom or will he mad? Lots of steam coming off my kindle as these two find more ways to do what they want to do – regardless of where they do it!
Short read make you want more. Love how she make them short and have season to them instead of having 1 book. Her writing style is great and can't wait to read more of her books.
Now that her mom knows and is cool with it how are they gonna break it to his father and what her mom gonna do with the douche bag ex boyfriend. And how far Ethan and Ashley relationship will go ? Gotta finish reading to fund out
This is the seventh book in this series, but book one in part two. In this part, Ethan tells his stepmother how he really feels about her daughter, his stepsister. On the other hand, his father still has no idea that they are in a relationship. I enjoyed this part, but I wish this was a whole book and not novellas. I love the characters, the storyline, and the sex scenes. This was a great reads.
I’m glad Ethan and the princess are finally in a relationship and tryingto make it work. But a miserable Jake is lurking around for a payout in blackmail money. But hopefully they all can sit down and talk to Ethan’s father and explain what’s going on and he will be ok with it and see that she is making his son a better person and is good for him and he can help with the Jake situation and pit a stop to him once in for all
Thanks Mia. YOU'RE back on the reservation with FUN and SEX with Ethan and Ashley. Looking forward to their SEXY future antics. When Mia's in the groove nobody writes better SEXY SCENES! Looks like it's going to be a GREAT 👍 'SECOND SEASON.'
enough of the inner monologue. It seems to get worse with every new book. I love the story, love Ashley and Ethan, but I'm getting so sick of reading the repetitive filler. It's getting to a point where I don't know how much more I'll be able to read. I want to read what's actually going on, not the same redundant thoughts these two have about one another.
Things got pretty awkward in this installment. In multiple ways. I’m glad to see that the mom is so supportive, hopefully the dad will be on their side as well. This part felt like it went really fast, maybe because it didn’t cover much time. It was still enjoyable and contained the funniest part so far. I’m also really enjoying the flirty banter between Ashley and Ethan.
We've gone from rule #1 to dating. The relationship is building and Ethan is showing Ashley how bad (but caring) boys look after their girls. Unfortunately mum hadn't told dad and they come back early....... No spoilers for the fun that follows.

There’s truly no reason for this series to be as good as it is, yet here I am, immediately starting the second season! The drama of them getting over their feelings and now diving headfirst into the chaos of everyone else finding out — I’m so excited!
I just need to know what happens when Dad finds out, what happens when they go back to school — and their Mom, OMG! I need answers!
I really hope they sanitize that Pool table 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
This one was definitely the funniest one. The sarcasm between Ethan and Ashley is hilarious. Yeah they're " technically" step siblings but to them, they use it for comical reasons.
My only issue is ......can we rest that "bad boy/good girl" thing??? 7 episodes in, its highly over used. Its been established by now.
God, I love this series! The taboo aspect was the initial selling point, but these books are so dang cute! They are quirky and funny - I seriously laugh thru parts of them. And Ethan and Ashley’s relationship is so sweet and sexy and real. Love it!
Love all of these books, really all of them! I love the banter between Ashley&Ethan. I have laughed OUT LOUD so much. I really can't say enough good things about these books. I don't want them to end!! PLEASE, keep them coming!!!!!
If I had a dollar for every time I read bad boy/good girl... Book 7 was more like a bad porn episode. I cringed at about every other paragraph. I’m still addicted, but yet I think I need a break from these.
So far, so good. The non-traditional relationship continues to become stronger but can it survive the second hurdle and a large obstacle. Hopefully, one of those will be answered in the next book!
Audible/arc Review I received a free copy of this book via Cherrylily ARCs and am voluntarily leaving a review. In this part of the story Ethan Colton and Ashley banks mom knows about their relationship and the blackmail . I love these characters. Fantastic
Second season is off to a bang, a big bang. The banter between Ethan and Ashley is just so funny. I can't wait for the dad to explode over them being together. This series is just so addictive, when I sit down to listen to one audio I end up listening to three or four.
