“Amanda gets human nature—and she gets God’s heart. Her characters are believable and her dialogues are skillfully woven so that they are both engaging and insightful. Read Summer Fades. You’ll be glad you did.” —Ty Gibson, author, A God Named Desire
This book is poignant and beautifully written. The topics discussed are handled with the respect they deserve and the book has given me plenty to dwell on.
I enjoyed Summer Fades, although I've spent a lot of time lately avoiding books about serious subjects. This one handles sexual abuse of children and eating disorders, so beware if there are triggers for you in this. It was enjoyable and the characters were well-drawn and engaging.
Loved it!! I have read it over and over and still have not found it boring. I love the way the book is set out and how it is interesting the whole way through. The book itself is not that long, but the author writes it in a way where a lot of things happen without it feeling all squashed together. Must.read.now
This is gonna be a short review but seriously, anyone and everyone should read this book, it's brilliant and brings a lot of things in my life to light, especially the Christianity that I struggle with daily, I 100% recommend everyone to read this!!! :)
