The injustice of the whole miserable circumstance hit him. The last thing he would ever want for Becka would be to pass this curse on to her.
Travis was looking forward to meeting that special someone. Settling down, raising a family, and living happily ever after. Some day.

A short fling before starting out on a late season hike leaves him with a nasty bite scar and some pretty vivid dreams. By the time he comes to terms with the fact that he's not dreaming, he's already made enemies of the only other shifters he knows about-- a pack of wolves secretly living in the Sierra Nevada mountains.

When he meets a friendly bear shifter who fills in some of the blanks on what's happening to him, Travis resigns himself to a life alone: Mountain Lions are notorious for their one night stand behavior and he's determined not to pass along his shifter curse.

Naturally this would be when he finds the one woman he sees himself spending his life with, a forest ranger exiled to a tiny cabin for a winter job of recording snow pack for the season.

He can't stay with her, can't give in to the new instincts within him that scream to Turn her and take her as his mate. Can't risk doing that to her knowing that the cougar roaring within him is bound by a nature that will only force him to move on once he's spread his seed. Leaving her to deal with this burden alone...

Like he'd been left to do.

My Thoughts - 4 out of 5 Unicorns - I really liked it!!!

The cover is fits in well with the rest of the series and is beautiful :)

This is the fourth book in the series and is longer than the others containing the whole story. While you do not have to read the first 3 books, I do highly recommend it because there are references to the first 3 stories in this book. It will make your characters seen much more robust and answer lots of questions you have about the mentioned mountain lion in those books. Everything makes a lot more sense now :) Of course this series is for adults only due to the steamy scenes it contains.

This is Travis’ story (the mountain lion) and Becka’s. I immensely enjoyed this story, and it was a great start to my day reading it. I can’t wait to read more in this series!! This world pulls you in and you want to know more about all of them :) I wonder what other shifters we will meet in the future :)

I recommend this series to any shifter lover especially if you like wolves, bears, and lions :)

Mmm hmmm...OK now. OK with Travis kitty... 5 GOLD PAWS

Now that's the kind of animal I'm looking to attract, HOOOOOWL! whoooooooot wheeeeeeeeeew! (I never could wolf whistle!) What a PUURRRFECTLY ROARSOME story!! This book is so packed full of shifters, romance, turmoil, hotness, curses, acceptance, and well, PAWESOMENESS that it held me CATIVATED from the very start, as has this entire series!! I don't even know how to begin to tell you about it, so I will start at my beginning - The first story I ever read of Claire's was Quest of the Alpha (Sierra Moon Shifters: Book One) and I have been an avid fan ever since. (Even going as far as to beg to read the next part as soon as I finished the one before it! I tried for even quicker, but alas, I did have to wait for it to be written. sigh) Even though I wasn't at the time, I am glad that we didn't know more about that oddity of a cougar that kept popping up in the first 3 parts of this Sierra Moon Shifters series because it made this story that much more SHIFTACULAR! I actually think it is freaking genius of Claire to have done it this way because all those little glimpses and teases had me so curious and left me wondering just what his story was! But no matter what I dreamt up, I NEVER thought the story would be this hilarious, this entertaining, this full of love, confusion, heartbreak, friendships, wonder, etc. and just so FURRY, FURRY COUGARIFIC! Or is that LIONTASTIC?!! HELLYA! It's all of that and more! The thought processes that Travis went through about becoming a shifter, how it works, etc. had me crying with laughter! I wanted to share my favorite LION with you, but I didn't want to give you any CLAWS for concern about me letting slip a spoiler or 3! I try to NEVER do that! I ABSO-PUMA-LUTELY LOVE the history of the shifters, how they came to be, how they get their powers, so to speak and how that all relates to today's new shifters. Very original, insightful and way beyond SHIFTASTIC! Claire did a FANGTASTIC job in making these shifters all her own, and that's no lion!! Essentially, this all CATAMOUNTS to one helluva LIONTASTIC story of MOUNTAIN proportions that is written by a FURNOMENALLY talented author who has me loving each and every single one of her books as well as drooling for more! I am beyond ecstatic to find out that she has more stories to share of these Sierra Moon shifters and cannot wait for the next one to arrive. And the next one...and the next one... Travis has been having burn-the-sheets hot sex with a girl from the bar where he has been working. She got a bit rough and he was bitten on the back of his neck. He starts having very weird dream and sees the world through the eyes of mountain lion. He has been turned against his knowledge into a shifter! When he takes off into the mountains he meets another shifter, a bear, and she teaches him some of the fundamentals of being a shifter.

Becka is a new Ranger and living in a ranger station over the winter to measure the snow fall. Not the most interesting of jobs but she hopes it will lead to better positions. When she sees Travis sunbathing in the nude she can't believe her luck! And when he comes across her ranger station later they engage in some panty melting sexcapades!!!

But will the mountain lions loner tendencies and his own unwanted turning affect them? Will he stay with his mate or will his fears of leaving her stop him from loving her now?

Fabulous story. I have a read one or two in this series but they are all stand alones and interconnect but you don't miss out on anything if you don't read them in order. Great passionate scenes and the turmoil Travis goes through is well paced and believable.

This standalone with an HEA is book four in the Sierra Moon Series and a quick read at 146 pages. It follows Travis as he backpacks through the Sierras, not realizing when he sets out that he has been bitten and turned without his knowledge or consent by a female cougar shifter during a brief hook up. He encounters other shifters on the trail, bear and wolf, with mixed results, getting a brief intro to shifter 101. Then he meets Becka, a human park ranger working a remote camp for the winter, keeping track of snow depths and trying to get on full time for a summer position. He is instantly attracted, but knows natural cougars are loners, just like the shifter that turned him, and he doesn't want to treat her badly by leaving, an inevitability. The lure is impossible for him to resist, though, and Travis has to learn and come to terms with who he really is, or he will lose his mate forever.

also so what do you do when you meet a woman and she bites you only to soon after leave you without a reason why .
and what do you do when you start having dreams of lions .
and what do you do when you see a wolf turn into a man only to go to a woman you once met only to be seeing the woman excited and relieved to see the wolfman .
and then what do you do when you meet another shifter but a woman . who tells you how a shifters instincts are .
though i wont say what shifter she is though i believe that will be her story and hmm have to wonder on Becka's boss and maybe the woman and becka's bosses story just a hunch at least due to the title though to find out any of this and much more well you gotta read the book to find out .

Love the Sierra Moon Shifters...you never know what you will get when you crack open my kindle to read one of the books from this series. In this book Claire Ryann has shown us a different side of shifters. One that is not so nice to begin with. One should never get hot and heavy in the bed, bite your partner (with his permission) and then just leave. That makes for a very strange outcome come the next full moon. That is what happened to Travis. And what is sad is the poor hunk of a man has no idea what is going on with himself until he happens to meet a bear shifter who has seen him in the buff (but he had no idea) and she realized he needs help.

I can't say much more because it is so good and I would give the storyline away. Grab a copy and read it for yourself. Got some heat in here so if you like shifter hotness..... I received this book for an honest review.

An interesting initiation into the shifter world. Travis has a wild weekend and ends up marked and turned. Only he doesn't know his bite has changed him, he thinks he's have walking dreams. Read this story of his initiation into the world of shifters. His "advisers" help him coming to terms and meeting Becka. She's a Park Ranger paying her dues by spending the winter measuring snow fall. Or at least that's what she's supposed to do.

Travis enters her life but how can he expect her to accept him when he doesn't even understand what he is and hasn't accepted himself. Take this journey with Travis and Becka and see how it ends up.

This is book 4 in the Sierra Moon series. Travis is back packing, when he realizes he is changing. He has been bitten without his knowledge by a woman called Lacey. Not knowing what is happening he makes enemies with a group of wolves shifters that could of helped him. A female bear shifter who tells him what is happening to him. He meets Becka a forest ranger and is immediately drawn to her. After a night of sex he almost bits and turns her so he runs he meets the wolf shifters again only this time they give him help and advice. When he goes to find Becka she has run and is now freezing can Travis save her? I really liked this story. I was given a copy for an honest review. barwatts@telus.net

Given to me for an honest review. This is a standalone, but Ms Ryann suggests that you read them in order. Travis is having dreams. He's not too concerned because it's been a while since he slept outdoors and has left his job in software development that required 70 hours of work each week. Against all comments his friends made about Lacy, he had 4 nights of wild sex before she said bye. His dreams became more definitive and he started sleep walking. That wandering around asleep could be dangerous in the woods where he has been camping. What if this is not a dream? Will he be a mountain lion for the rest of his life?

A great addition to the series. Travis was bitten on the back of his neck during a fling and left to fend for himself. He didn't know he was changed. He meets a friendly bear shifter who helps explain things to him. Becka is a Ranger and living in the woods at a ranger station to measure the snow fall during the winter. He thinks he doesn't have staying power and will let her down. He fights his attraction for her but inevitably finds his way home in his love for her.

What a great story told from a unknowing shifters perspective. Travis started out having vivid dreams of being a mountain lion, which turned out not to be a dream. While still unsure what is happening he meets Chelle a bear shifter. She helps him start to adjust to his new status. Along the way ne makes friends with wolf shifters who explain about true mates. Travis has met his true mate Becka, but has run away in fear of harming her.Worried about Travis she heads down the mountain and ends up caught in a Blizzard. Will Travis find Becka in time? Will he be able to save her?

Choice can make all the difference
After a few lusty nights with a woman named Lacey, Travis finds her saying thanks and it’s been nice but later. I t then takes off backpacking in the mountains. And then the dreams of being a cougar come and later he realizes they are no longer dreams. He finds some help but is still pretty much clueless as to what is real is now. Comes upon a human woman he can’t stay away from but feels he must to protect her from him. Later some Help comes from who if though were enemies. Several things are happening and truths are reviled in this well written and fun story to read.

I got this in exchange of an honest review, I love shifters and a fan of Claire work I liked the plot a lot which was what drew me to this one more Travis is lion shifter who is not that great with women what I mean is he has no clue how to interact or talk to a woman or even know how to claim her as his mate I so liked his sensitive vulnerable side that makes him so unique as a shifter I rarely see that side and it was charming to see it a lot the end was great so was the flow between the chapters and characters I hope to read more I recommend this to everyone

I must thank Claire Ryann for this review copy, it was a thoroughly enjoyable read. I really loved the story of Becka and Travis and how they are true mates. I felt sorry for Travis when he was turned into a shifter without his permission, but he managed to adjust well with his animal side. His caring attitude to Becka was lovely. This is an excellent series and I am looking forward to reading more about the other shifters in this series. Highly recommend this author and her books.

Enjoyed Travis and Becka's story. Travis get turned without his knowledge. He's struggling to figure it all out. He runs into Park Ranger Becka while she is at the cabin for the winter to record the snow. They have a HOT and Steamy night and Travis runs away afraid that he will turn her and then leave her. Becka hikes back to town to get a search team together to find Travis. Travis saves Becka. They get their HEA. Quick Steamy read.
