Nicolas followed me to Texas and insisted I return to L.A. until the baby’s birth. If I didn’t, he wasn’t going to hold up his end of the bargain I’d made with Aurora—that I would be allowed pictures and the occasional visit.
Once we were settled in his house he dragged me off to a new doctor who quickly discovered that I wasn’t just having a baby, I was having twins. Plus, I have gestational diabetes that requires up to five shots a day to keep my blood sugar in tight alignment.
My mom used to say Murphy’s law ruled my life. She wasn’t kidding.
NOTE: This is the second book of a three part serial and it ends with a cliffhanger. Part 3 will be released soon.
The story is simple yet interesting but it took me less than an hour to finish this story.
I didn't give this three stars because the female in this story was incredulous about having sex with the guy but no longer than a page later they have sex.
I do like the ending though, no matter the cliffhanger since it was pretty good though I didn't really like it in a way that it was a cliffhanger.
Okay so I read the series in one go and I didn't realize it was in different parts
Overall, the drama was surrounding around accusations of Nicolas killing his wife by slipping drugs in her drinks. Our heroine and the surrogate to Nicolas and his late wife's children, Ana, is battling her feelings towards him. They both have a very strong attraction to each other. And the complexities of both characters keep you interested. One minute Nicolas is hot and the next he's cold as ice.
One problem I have with this series is that Nicolas clearly has anger management issues and he's quite violet even towards Ana. It's abuse at times. Strong warning to readers.
Nicolas is still getting charged with murder but nothing to major happened. Ana went to go talk to auroras mom to drop charges. She told her she was pregnant with auroras babies. Auroras mom ends up suing Nicolas and trying to get custody. Nicolas is furious and yells at ana. The stress got to her and went into to labor.

I read this one through a free copy by Kindle. I love the flow of the story and how it easily answers the questions that are bugging my mind even though it's a short story. I'm looking forward to reading the next parts (silently hopes it's free too!).
As the first book came to a conclusion this author had me hanging on till this next book. I however didn't like the short review of the first book for I thought it need not be inserted with this book. The continuation however within this read stood out alone. The sex between the two was nothing short of a firecracker going off on a warms summers night.
It was definitely an easy read and which is why I read the trilogy. It had a got start and the end but each of the book I rated three stars because at some point there were some parts that weren't quite explained well for me.
Oh Ana!!! Still trying to do the right thing. Still loving Nicolas. Can things ever settle down? Nicolas is being evasive and lots of questions to be asked and answered. Just loving this story
