The Thug I Chose: A Hood Love Story
Dayquan and Alex had been running the drug game since they were 15 and figured it was time to get out. Now that they’re handed the empire over to Dayquan’s cousin, Polo, they could now settle down, sit back on their millions, and enjoy life. Alex was now having a baby by Dayquan’s sister and thought it was time to make some changes in his life, as well. Dayquan was known as the ladies’ man. His cockiness leads him to believe that no woman will ever be good enough. That is, until he meets Heaven, the one person that he could see himself spending the rest of his life with.Polo was now running the drug empire handed over to him by his cousin. Then, he met Heaven; he fell in love with her, but treated her like a bitch off the streets. Will his lying, abuse, and cheating ways keep her from leaving or will they lead her right into the arms of someone he would least expect?

JUST MESSY!!
On Everybody's part! I will never ever condone any type of abuse whether it be physical, emotional, or mental! With that being said, how does Dayquan justify being with his cousin whom his mother said they had a tight relationship woman? What? Because he was abusing her do that makes it okay for him to betray his cousin because he wants his woman?! Yes it happens in real life but, you don't generally find your family members okay with the woman that's causing cousins to go at each other because of her she would be every name under the sun! Since when does families accept the woman that's causing family to go against each other! I guess my family is a different breed because this would never be acceptable on any level! So, for me everybody in this story is messed up with the exception of Alex cause I think Angela is messed up for being okay with Angela playing with two cousins. Cousins should be man enough to not want to cause each other pain!

I don’t like to read DV books because I get so angry with the person being abused when they keep taking the abuse for years. I’ve really don’t have much to say about Heaven because it will not be flattering since she continues to make not good decisions ugh 😑 and a very confused soul. Heaven was very aggravating and I’m praying she get some sense. Heaven is soooooooo broken and it will take a person with patience to make her whole again.
Polo is a POS and grimy and the abuser of Heaven. I’m waiting to see how the author handles him and this Candy chick because this nicca has nine lives and he's despicable and dangerous.
So far Alex and Ang are doing well, but when things are going well something or someone will enter to put a kink in the armor.
Hopefully Day will not backslide and stay true to his relationship.

The Games People Play
Baby!!!…I felt that pain when Day said we had a healthy baby girl!!!…It truly ain’t no fun when the rabbit got the nug!!!…
Polo is truly for the streets!!!…He’s upset that Heaven got her lick back and she tagged him in the worse way!!!…I say they are even!!!…
Alex is not a joke and she plays no games about her brother, friends or family!!!…
Asia knows she’s definitely messy boots and I’m sure there is something in store for her and I can’t wait to see what happens!!!…
I hope Polo go on home to his son and pregnant girl, because there is NOTHING left for him with Heaven!!!…

Great Read
This book was so good from beginning to end and what a ending. Enjoyed the storyline and these characters and I couldn't put it down. I love Heaven and Day together. I can't stand Polo and between him and Asia the drama is definitely coming. On the the next installment, after that ending. Great job Tina J.

Good book
This book was a good read. It kept me interested in what was going to happen next. I must say that I am NOT a fan of Polo. I also think Heaven was Dumb and made a lot of stupid decisions...but I guess Love. Ames you do stupid things.... Can’t wait to see what happens now that Polo knows about Heaven and his cousin.

Maaaannnnnn it's crazy how much a man expects a woman to put up with. Polo was dead wrong for how he treated heaven, and I'm glad she semi found her strength. Dayquan never experienced love, but wen it hit him, there was nothing he cud do about it 🤣 now it's time for all the crazeee to start...part 2 be good to me 🧡🧡🧡

Wasn’t my cup of tea
It was alright. I loved the storyline but I just could not connect with these characters. The men were corny and the women were stupid. I wanted to dnf so many times. The only thing that makes me want to go on reading is the ending. Maybe I’ll read it, maybe I won’t. Or maybe I’ll try another series from this author. This book just wasn’t for me.

Enjoyable book
I enjoyed reading this book. Not sure how my about the cousins dating the same people but the reality stuff like that does happen. I can’t wait to read the next book in this series to see how the drama unfolds. There were several typos that a beta reader should have discovered before publishing but they didn’t take away from the story.

Grimy People
Polo is crazy. You’ve been cheating pretty much your whole relationship with Heaven, had multiple kids, but don’t want to let her go. I’m not saying it’s right that she got with Daquan but I understand. I hope everything works out between Heaven and Daquan. On to part 2.

Omg
This story was great, the story line portrayed shows the cycle of domestic violence and how hard it can be to escape. I took off one star due to there being so many grammatical errors but I definitely recommend this book as the story line is great.

REALLY BAD
One of the all time worst!! The story literally went no where. The main female character was unbelievably stupid and annoying. I couldn't finish it. That never happens, but this book was unbearable

I'm starting from the beginning of Tina's list. This is a interesting book. Polo needs to be delt with cause he has caused Heaven a lot of problems. Day is a real stand-up guy. I can't wait to see what's next

Wow
I am pretty sure this is the first book I've read from this Author but it won't be the last. This book really had me in my feelings. I wanted to reach through the pages and chock Polo crazy deranged butt for the way he treated Heaven. I loved me some Ang and Alex their relationship was one for the storybook. I tip my hat to Dayquan for coming in and showing Heaven what a REAL man is. I cannot wait for the next installment hopefully you won't make me wait to long. I also hope Asia gets what she deserves. Tina J did her thing with this book i hope part two drops soon. I love Dayquan he is such a fool in love that it's cute how bad he wanted Heaven. Poor Heaven was very strong cause I couldn't have taken all the torcher she received from Polo. Polo needs to get what is coming to him he is just nasty all the way around. Angela and Alex are the perfect couple and she is truly a great friend to Heaven. I recommend this book you will not be disappointed.

Great Read
Polo is certifiable Crazy. This fool had a whole ass family in another state. Heaven was getting on my nerves being childish sometimes. Dayquan got his work cut out for him. I'm glad him and heaven worked out but Asia is going to be a problem in book 2. Can't wait to see what happens in book 2.

Polo was just sick. Heaven was just as crazy to stay after all he has done to her. Asia was just a groupie who didn't understand her place. I loved Ang and Alex connection. I hope Day don't hurt Heaven.

Good story
I was hooked from beginning to end. That Damn Asia and polo a mess. This story is so true though. Women get there butt beat by men and some be scared to leave. I would have killed his behind!!! Can't wait to read book 2
