The bad news: Patch is stuck in the mud, both literally and figuratively. Been there? The good news: Patch has decided he doesn't want to be stuck anymore, so he begins his journey, not really knowing his destination.
He meets five (and a half) friends who will be instrumental in his journey of self-discovery.
This light and easy read (less than 10,000 words) will have you completely transported to the African savannah with the fun illustrations and the animal characters who just might have a thing or two to teach you.
A parable AND a picture book for adults (also kid-friendly)! What's not to like?

This is a great story of change and growth! It illustrates the beauty of change as well as some of the qualities of growth and coming into your own. The format is gentle and easy to read, yet the topic is positive and relevant for anyone looking to take a glimpse into their own differences as well as the road to self improvement. Good things ahead for this insightful author!
Michele Jennae's charming tale of Patch the Rhino delivers an important and inspiring message. Like many of us, Patch feels stuck, weighed down and utterly ordinary. He sets off on a journey--literally and metaphorically--that completely transforms his vision of himself. As Patch begins to see himself through the eyes of the characters he meets along the way, he is finally able to appreciate how beautiful and unique he truly is. The delightful nature of the characters--Tick Tock was my favorite--is perfectly complemented by Jennae's whimsical illustrations. It's a book that both kids and adults can enjoy. Give it a read!
A sweet story for children about friendship and how our friends can help change us for the better.
And passion filled a parable for adults, filled with underlying animal archetypes and rich symbolism if we're willing to dive into the watering hole of life and notice. My personal favorite character was Lincoln, I could imagine him saying, something like“Sometimes you have to leave your Pride, to find your own.”
