The Undead World #6

The Apocalypse Exile

Rate this book
The journey across the zombie-filled country does not get easier for the renegades. The Great Plains, the heart-land of America is now home to vast herds of the undead. These savage hordes sometimes stretch as far as the eye can see. Among them live the Azael—men who have regressed back to the bloody and chaotic roots of our collective ancestors where only the strong or the blood-thirsty survive.
These far-flung tribes control the interior of the country, using great armies of zombies to inflict their will upon their neighbors. For the moment they are at peace with the soldiers of Colorado and for the moment they only see in Neil and the Renegades a way to make easy money escorting them across their lands at a steep price.
It’s a moment that can’t last.
The specter of death lurks among the group. It haunts them and strikes again and again until its appetite is wetted to a point where it can no longer hide behind the innocent face of Jillybean. What skulks in the depths of her mind is driven by ferocious desires, chief of which is the hunger for death. It’s a hunger that will never be satiated not until each and every one of them is dead.
Betrayal, murder, war.

Doesn't disappoint...

I have been anxiously awaiting this book and it doesn't disappoint...
Jillybean is back (I love jillybean) and her story is a little different now. Bad things and a devious mind make her not so nice.
Lots of action...zombies, crazy people, and of course there are always those who want to take from everyone else.
I have truly enjoyed this series. So glad they have reached safety...but seems as if that will not last long.
Waiting for the next adventure...

My sanity was tested

Wow!! I must say this book started with a bang and didn't stop. I was constantly screaming, OMG Noooooo!!!! As for my favorite character Jillybean, taking a long deep glimpse inside her head had me questioning my own sanity. I am so glad the author wrote her character as two personalities. It really added to the emotion of her struggle.

Another 5 star book

Peter can only write 5 star books!!! This was another. I love his characters and the depth he gives them. Its like you know them and really do have connections to them. More twists and turns in this book than a mountain road. Can't wait to start reading book 7. Which will be in about 12 seconds.

Wow

This genre may or may not be y'alls cup of tea but if it is, you should really consider reading this series! This is a tale of a few strangers that eventually meet and become their very own "family" of sorts. They have their differences and like a true family, they sometimes don't see eye to eye however, they always fight for each other and they fight to live another day. The author has created characters that you will come to love, hate, pity and sometimes want to help them. Truly an awesome series but you have to start with the first book in the series so you can really get the story!

Wow!

Pretty sure I read this in two days and neglected to feed my husband and children in the process! If notputdownable was a word that's what this series is. Love love love the main characters and a testament to the great writing is that we can lose big personality characters but move on story wize...elaborating and introducing new names. Some shocks in this book i did not expect that left me a little broken tbh. Can't wait to read the next book.

The Beginning or the End...

Grey and his group have finally reached Colorado with its promise of safety and protection of the military. Yet even as the most diligent begun to relax a bit, Sadie sights a mega herd of zombies heading for their sanctuary... The human servants of the "King" and his minions will not be far behind with the good/evil "Jillybean /Eve" at their side.... Can even military might and "good" prevail against such a massive and evil force? Stay tuned!

I have fallen in love with these characters reading this series I've loved seeing them get out of all these situations and still coming out on top but come on did you have to kill the baby???? I'm still hoping that our little group will persevere and triumph over all that lies before them !!!

Heartache by the numbers.

Another good book in the series. The unprecedented odds this group of survivors must overcome is hard to read at times and yet you can't stop yourself. Meredith doesn't fail to keep you turning pages. A must read for any fan of the series so far.

Love this series

Wow another amazing book from this talented author. He kept me on the edge of my seat as the story unfolded. Love the character development for each of the characters you find yourself cheering them on, feeling their pain and want them to win and reach their final destinations!

There is no gain without sacrifice. It just gets more and more challenging for our faithful band of survivors.

Meredith doesn't sugar coat the harsh realities of a post-apocalyptic world and the powers that rise to rule.

One part toward the end seemed a little yada-yadaed, but still a solid offering.

Great read

As always this author had my full attention. The books are great, the characters come alive & I feel like I know them personally. I'm bad at reviews & I don't want to post any spoilers so all I will say is this is a great book, great series & you should read it.

Gripping

I feel like I am one of the renegades, sharing their journey and their losses. I started out amused by the story on book one, but now I feel their fear, pain and suffering. Can't wait for the next book.

Excellent

There a lot of action in this book. The renegades are still struggling for their freedom. Jillybean is in a battle for her very existence. There is a great deal of fear and difficulty heading they're way.

So far, that story never gets old! I hope they'll be plenty more! Need to write seven more words. Done.

Crazy

The author went into depth showing and explaining Jillybean's mental issue. Not my cup of coffee. As usual , the most despicable aspects of the novel are the ghoulish, greedy , power seeking humans. This book is not my favorite in the series but, probably necessary to move story along.
