Passing her first semester of community college? Done.
Getting her boyfriend an amazing birthday gift? Done.
Throwing up in New Orleans on said boyfriend's birthday? Yeah...about that... Everything in Libby's life was falling into place...or she thought it was.
After a night of sin in New Orleans, she thought she might just be sick from exhaustion but a trip to the doctor proved otherwise.
Now instead of moving forward, her and commit-a-phobic boyfriend Blaine Crabtree have to go in a completely new direction.
Every road block has gotten in their way. Everything to tear them apart. Now they have to figure out if they are strong enough to move forward or if this is the end of their paper trail.
Magan Vernon has been living off of reader tears since she wrote her first short story in 2004. She now spends her time killing off fictional characters, pretending to plot while she really just watches Netflix, and she tries to do this all while her two young children run amok around her Texas ranch.
You can stalk or...er...find her online at all of these fun and happy places.
I received an ARC for an honest review! This is the third book in the Paper Heart Sega, Libby and Blaine's story continues and is brought to a whole new level. I don't want to spoil the story so I'm just going to say that Libby and Blaine are struck with some life changing situations, that they will need to grow up faster then expected. I loved this book as much as the first two if not more! Magan is a extremely talented writer, this story flowed from page to page and again I love the witty humor she entwines into the story. I can't wait for the next installment and see what happens next! Bring it Vernon!
received this eARC for an honest review. In the third book of the ‘My Paper Heart’ Saga, this book really cements Libby’s and Blaine’s relationship and the trials and experiences they encountered in the first two books.
PLOT From the first two books, we realise in this book that Blaine and Libby will need to grow up a lot faster and they are facing a new level of challenges. As a reader, it is refreshing to have that balance of that passionate and sweet love that Libby and Blaine had from the first book and mix that in with the reality that a relationship can undergo a few hardships and insecurities which allow for readers to relate to and develop more empathy for. The flow of the book was perfect and the romance of Libby and Blaine keeps getting more sweet and passionate while still attaining to a realistic nature.
CHARACTERS Libby- Libby keeps surprising me with her growths. She is slowly overcoming her challenges that she faced in the second book and the kicker that is introduced in this book really shows a matured Libby but still keeps the sassyness and citygirlness that allows readers to understand that she is still a new adult and retains some parts of the Libby that we were first introduced to.
Blaine- From book two, Blaine has truly shown how much he truly LOVES Libby regardless of all the hardships and tensions have faced before. The new surprise really shows a side of Blaine that allows readers to understand if he can commit in the long run and highlights what his intentions are for their relationship should evolve to. I was extremely happy to see this Blaine come out and really feel like “these two together are so lovely”
The other characters in this book once again were relevant and important additions to bring Blaine and Libby to where they ended up.
ROMANCE “He shook his head. "No, we do. I may be a little buzzed and really fucking horny, but I also need you to know that I love you. I should have said it the first time months ago, and I will keep saying it every damn day. I love you more than every single star in the Louisiana sky above us.” – This quotes takes the cake in how I feel about Libby and Blaine’s Romance… PERFECT! #Feels #Beautiful
Magan Vernon- thank you for continuing and bringing together a wonderful and captivating story of these two characters. I look forward to the next book where that final stamp can be placed to finish out their journey
I was provided with a copy of A Paper Trail in exchange for an honest review. I really enjoyed reading it and was happy to provide a review. This story begins with a girl named Libby who feels like she has failed at everything. Her parents had forced her to move from Chicago all the way down south to Louisiana. This third installment continues with the story of Blaine and Libby, one eventful step after the next. When Libby begins to get really sick, her aunt schedules an appointment for her. Libby thinks that she may have the flu, but the doctor’s unexpected news completely floors her. She knows that she has grown up a lot during the last year, but is this just another failure? With a baby on the way, Libby is not married but she does know that Blaine loves her. She still has two years left in school. Between Blaine’s commitment issues, her stress levels and her desperation to gain acceptance by her parents, it might drive her to the breaking point but can she get through this?
My favorite character in this story is Libby. She is downright stressed out, hormonal and negative when first finding out about the pregnancy. Through thick and thin, she holds up because she knows that she must. She is there for her family and is hopeful, yet fearful about the consequences of her actions. In my opinion, I would rate this book with five stars. I do enjoy her writing style and creativity. The development of her characters really called out to me and held my attention. The pace was fast, which I like and I would definitely recommend A Paper Trail to anyone who enjoys reading young adult and romance. I look forward to reading the fourth installment in the series called These Paper Walls.
I received this book for an honest review. Libby is finally feeling like she found herself and her path she passed her first semester at her new college with flying colors things are good with Blaine she's getting the help she needs now to just enjoy celebrating her southern boys birthday! What better way than at Mardi Gras, only problem is she's sicker than a dog. Is it just exhaustion or is life throwing more speed bumps in her way? What path is life sending her and Blaine down and can they make it down the path together or will they end up taking their own paths? The more of this series I read and the more I want to get in my car and just move south and find myself a good ol' southern boy! Blaine may not be perfect but he is strong, loyal, caring, and definitely swoon worthy add to that the accent I've assigned to him in my head and I can't get enough of him! I adore Libby too and find her easy to relate to but in this book her emotions were definitely all over the place understandably so but with the way the author pulled me in I felt like I was right there with her on the emotional roller coaster. I laughed, I cried and I growled in anger luckily from the comfort of my couch so the only witness to my craziness was my puppy dog! I was so into this book that before I knew it I had read the whole thing in one sitting completely shutting out everything else around me. The book is well written and beyond Blaine and Libby has a cast of characters you just need to get to know! This is not a standalone book but is part of a series that should be read in order so one click today so you can join me in counting down the days till book 4 releases!!!
*I was given a copy of this book by the author in exchange for an honest review.
This is the third book in the My Paper Heart series, and it is not a standalone.
This book picks up right where the second book, On Paper Wings, left off. The relationship between Libby and Blaine is progressing well. Like every couple, they experience their ups and downs, but they remain committed to one another. Libby's life seems to finally be on the right track right up until she receives some unexpected news. Will Blaine's past commitment issues resurface, or will he remain dedicated to Libby?
I loved this book as well as this entire series so much! Libby and Blaine are the perfect couple, and I found myself rooting for their love to last forever. If you are looking for a series filled with passion and love, you should give this one a try! I promise you will not be disappointed!! Great job, Magan Vernon!!
I loved this story! It fits in so well with the others that you just cruise right along! In this book we see the evolution of Blaine and Libby's relationship. One minute they are enjoying Blaine's birthday during Mardi Gras and next thing you know it's hello! Real life smacks them in the face.
I loved watching the transition of their characters and while it's the good, the bad and the ugly. It seems like the little fights and the epic makeups make for a truly touching story when all is said and done. It just emphasizes the best of small town living. One of my favorite things about living in the south (just a personal opinion)
Things get a little chaotic when everybody starts making plans and we gradually see Libby becoming used to all of the changes in her life and embracing the new normal. This all culminates in the sweetest ending! I absolutely cannot wait until the next part of the story!
A Paper Trail is the third book in the Paper Heart series. This was by far my favorite of the series (so far – hint hint Magan!). Libby and Blaine’s story continues in this book, and you really get to see them mature as their relationship grows. I can’t say enough how much I enjoyed this book. A Paper Trail really brings everything full circle. It’s the ultimate coming of age story, one that will pull on your heart strings, have you laughing and crying the happy tears of joy right along with the characters. Libby Gentry is a girl everyone can identify with in some way, and the way Magan Vernon writes you can’t help but connect with and love the characters! A Paper Trail is a great read and one you don’t want to miss!
I was gifted an advanced copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.
The continuing story of Libby and Blaine. The couple has faced so much together. They have their highs, their lows, and their love for each other. But at such a young age, being faced with one life changing event after another, will their love be enough? Magan Vernon is my new queen of the sweet reads. She keeps her stories so worth the read, by giving her characters real situations to overcome. But, when you see the love between the characters, you get that, "Awwww, he's so sweet" feeling. Can't wait until the final book of this series.
I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review. Libby has been stressful but have to remind her self about the positive of things that is her life. Blaine had changed and ready to commit but will one big surprise make him run. Read this book to found out can't wait till next book comes out love this series.
Book 3 was filled with insecurities and the same fights over and over. It felt like the same conversation and arguments were being repeated in each chapter. A lot of drama and jealousy but also so much extreme highs and lows throughout the pregnancy, it just felt very unnatural and forced. Not sure what more can happen for there to be a fourth book, outside of the baby being born… but we shall see.
I was gifted a copy by Author Groupies is exhange for an honest review.
In Paper Wings Libby decided to go to Community College .....so in A Paper Trail we get to see her pass her first semester ....well done sugar !
Libby and Blaine have their mojo going on but a life changing event occurs and they have to grow up quickly. ...will they survive? I'm sure they will after they have been through already ♡
Libby has matured over the series and Blaine is head over heels and committed to her ♡
I enjoy how Magan has kept the series real in the sense that her her characters and their lives are easy to relate and identify with.
Overall, a great series. I almost wish this last book carried on further after the marriage and brought in the birth of the baby and how they coped with being new parents. I think that would have added some depth to this last installment.
