B.K. Brain, author of Nephilim Push and Handbook for the Criminally Insane, explores the darkness once more in his new supernatural thriller, Dead Yet Dying.

But the power to change the past isn't his to give. Not according to a murderer, a man determined to claim Dan's mortal energy for himself, no matter the cost.
Enter Shellandra Flack, agent of death.
Dan's existence has derailed the chain of causality and she needs him to die at the hands of the killer. If Dan survives, the world won't.
I am the author of Nephilim Push, Handbook for the Criminally Insane, Collapse at Hidden Verse Three-Three-Two, Doris and the Ankh, Handbook for the Festive Sociopath, and the new supernatural thriller, Dead Yet Dying.
In interest of full disclosure, I received a free copy of this in return for an honest review. So here goes.
I really liked the story line. The whole "stolen life force" line of the story was great. I kind of got a Supernatural (without the Winchester Brothers) kind of feel, with the death angel/reaper gathering souls.
I loved what Liesel did to Deen. That was my favorite part of the whole book. I wish there had been more of an explanation of how watching tv with her grandpa gave her the idea for her revenge.
Why did Donovan set up the doctor? It just seemed to be shoved in there for page filler. It didn't seem to serve any purpose to the story.
There were a few minor typos. Mostly grammatical errors that spell check won't pick up but a good editor would.

The premise is intriguing and the story delivers! It had me hooked from page one, even pushing me to finish reading it on the beach…in Hawaii!
It was interesting how the author wove mysterious concepts around death with very real situations people deal with in real life. I especially liked Leisel.
I liked the concepts that the author based his story on. It said there is going to be another book and I hope the concepts around death are explored more in the second book.
Definitely recommend this book - especially to anyone who likes stories that deal with death in any form, as I do. This I found myself thinking about it after I was done reading.
Have you ever been haunted by the past: that thing you did, but wish you had done differently? We all have passed regrets, but for some the past can never be let go. It haunts them. This is a paranormal novel has a tension that grows slowly, and then explosively. The second half of the plot has quite a few "wow” chapters. Be prepared for gore and violence.
I quite enjoyed this novel. Yes, it is a fantasy, but it also has quite a bit to do with real life. What we think, say and do makes us who we are for better or worse.
