Cabrillo National Monument,located in southern California, was established in 1913 to commemorate Juan Rodriguez Cabrillo, and also preserves the Old Point Loma Lighthouse and the coastal sage scrub environment. Cabrillo National Monument offers stunning views of sky and sea, interpretation of history dating back to 1542, tidepools, and unique coastal sage scrub habitat that is among the most imperiled in the world.

Interesting look at a wonderful monument and park in San Diego. Loved the pictures and the extra information that I didn't get when I visited.
