It was never supposed to happen like this... I loved my job working with abused horses. I loved working with Mom on the farm. She was never supposed to die and leave me with bills and debts and worry and grief. I was never supposed to worry about losing the farm. I never thought I’d end up working a job I hate, with a boss who was more interested in what was under my shirt than in my head. Then I met him... The Hollywood playboy. The entitled, cocky a**hole that I can’t get out of my head. I never thought there could be more to him than sex appeal and an infamous reputation of loving and leaving. I never thought I’d fall for him, put my heart on the line, and risk letting him completely destroy me. But you know what they tell you…never say never.

+++++5 Stars+++++ Wow. It has been a while since I've read such an emotional book. There were parts that were difficult to read and there were parts that had me in tears. An excellent book. Haley's life are her horses and her farm. When a horrific accident takes her mother away, she is left alone. Traumatised and lonely, she tries to pick up her life and keep her farm and rescue horses up to shape. But it is not easy. Aiden is the Hollywood playboy. He is a famous actor and out of fear of being typecast, he takes on a new role. Montana is boring for him and while looking for some fun, he meets Haley. Her sadness and pain speaks to him but can he look beyond his own pain in order to heal hers? His wild life full of alcohol, pills and sex comes to a screeching halt when Haley teaches him strength and kindness. The book is a very emotional journey. It spoke to my heart and made me think and feel. The book is detailed and while at times I felt some parts were repetitive, I ended up loving the message and beauty of the story. The characters were flawed but honest and real. The chemistry was sizzling and the character development made this book for me. Do not miss this gem. It's unique and will tag on your heart strings. I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review.
Loved this little gem of a book and it rescued me from some not so good stories that I started and couldn't finish. It starts with quite an intense scene, Haley and her Mom are on their way to rescue some badly treated horses. That's what they do and have a stable full of mistreated horses that they bring back to health and hopefully find new homes for them. Aiden Shepherd is your typical spoiled Hollywood actor, he's hooked on prescription drugs and alcohol to get him through the dark memories of his past. With his hit series Shadowlands coming to an end he is offered a part that will take him to Montana and he sees this as a way to steer his career into a more fulfilling direction. When Haley has to take a job as a local reporter to keep her stables afloat, she is given the job of interviewing Aiden for the newspaper she works for. I've got to say I loved the chemistry between this couple and they both have huge obstacles to overcome. I particularly liked the relationship between Haley and her animals, I worried for the horses and the way she was passionate about what she did to keep them safe. Aiden has his flaws but you will love him all the same. With a lovely epilogue to finish I was highly satisfied with this book and would recommend it to people who love their Hollywood actor meets normal girl romances.
New to me author with a book that thoroughly captivated and enthralled me. I loved the cover the minute I saw it. Haley and Aiden's story is a one of second chances -- for both people and animals. The horse rescue aspect of the storyline was very sad indeed – with some tough details that cut to the quick. But readers will also find it inspirational and uplifting.
Both Haley and Aiden struggle with pain and heartbreak that has touched their lives. The author provides readers with not only a heart-wrenching but a sweet and tender romance between two opposites. Be advised that you probably will shed a few tears along the way.
This is a story that will surprise and delight. The writing is terrific and the story is one well worth reading.

Review
Books like this one are the reason I decided to add blogger to my writing/reading/reviewing resume.
Hidden treasures that come out of nowhere and make you feel so much that it overflows all over the place. Making you laugh one minute, cry the next and then walk a precipice in between, wondering when the cycle of feeling will begin again. Ones that you might not have gotten to find had you not been given the opportunity.
I’ve never had the pleasure of reading an Emily Goodwin story before this, so I had no idea what I was in for, but with the way I feel now after finishing the book and the range of emotions I experienced as I read, it’s an easy assumption to make that she may just be stuck with me for life now.
This book was a romance yes. It was a story of loss and surviving it and coming back stronger, both through your own personal strength and the love of another. But it was so much more than that. This story had an element to it that set it apart for me.
Animals. In this case, horses and a pretty amazing dog (that might be a crappy guard dog though lol). It’s such a big part of the makeup of the main character Haley that I can’t imagine the book ever working the same way without it. The caring for these animals, the rescuing and really her response to that after the loss she suffers because of the attempt she makes at doing it, it was a beautiful addition to an already beautiful love story.
It was the perfect backdrop for Haley and Aiden’s love story. For their healing, both together and individually.
Having this element also made this book a learning experience for me as well, horses and their care not being something I am at all familiar with. It also helped me bond to Aiden as the story progressed because right as he was learning all there was to know about this from Haley’s perspective, so was I and I walked away with what I think is a greater knowledge and also greater feeling for these gentle giants.
This book, in its execution has earned the label of magical romance. It’s becoming harder these days to find books that jump out to me in that way, but this one does repeatedly. There was just something so magical and perfect about the way Haley and Aiden meet and the effect they have on one another as each day goes by that invested me in their happily ever after. I wanted so many good things for them. Two people who believe they’re broken and unworthy of the kind of love the world writes songs about, yet being more than deserving of it and not broken in the slightest. They were human. They were real and that reality bled off the pages incredibly well here.
It’s not an easy road for them but it was definitely one worth taking, both for them and for the person reading about them. This book moved me, opened my eyes and put the light of romance back in my eyes again. It was that powerful.
It was such a pleasure to see Aiden overcome his demons (ones different from Haley’s but equally as gut wrenching) and see how even though there was a period of separation, neither one of them really gives up on the other. They’re in it together for the long haul, even though there are doubts in their own minds along the way. It made it that much more believable for me as a reader to see not the only the struggle, but also a little bit of the worst case scenario and what happens when you finally realize that change is needed.
If you read romances for steam, you’ll get that here. There’s a few instances of it, but where in some books, it can appear as though it’s just there for the sake of turning up the heat, in this book it all fits them. It’s passionate and needy at times, steamy in others, but most of all at the end of the day romantic and fitting for them. Their emotions guiding the moment almost as much as their bodies.
If you’re into a book that will move you, I think you’ll dig this one. If you’re into two people that believe themselves to be broken (but really just dinged up a bit) finding something in one another and holding on for dear life and having a HEA because of it, than this is also gonna be one for you. It was a nice pleasant surprise for me and definitely a journey I’m glad I was a part of.
My thanks to the author and all others involved for letting me be a part of this story before it releases. I enjoyed every second of it.
Haley's been to hell and back, and just when she thought she was going to be okay, she meets him—the one who would make her see how strong of a woman she's become since the tragedy. The one who would show her that she is worth fighting for, and worth everything to him...
Haley's past kept her from truly trying to get to know Aiden; her self confidence just about as low as you could go, yet to see how loving, kind and patient Aiden was was a lovely thing. Their interaction was beautiful, sweet, sexy and breathtaking at times.
Never Say Never was a wonderful story of perseverance, forgiveness, patience and love, which had me falling in love with Haley and Aiden. ~ Kara, 4.5 stars

I've never before read a book by Emily Goodwin—which is now something I can never say again… <<-- See what I did there?! Anyway, I am glad of that punny fact, because Never Say Never was an beautiful, emotional story about second chances…and hope.
Haley Parker never expected to be left alone. But now, having lost her mom far too soon, that's exactly what she is…and it's a daily struggle. To make ends meet. To care for the abused horses she rescues. To work in a job that she doesn't care about.
She also never expected to meet Hollywood’s bad boy—or to find beneath his arrogant exterior a soul that's maybe just as alone and broken as her own. She certainly didn't plan on falling for him. But now, she has…and if she loses that too, she's certain she’ll never survive it.
Never Say Never holds a lovely message. About survival, and fighting, and giving yourself (and others) another chance. The thought-provoking and, frankly, heart-breaking story of the horses that Haley rescues is a wonderful backdrop to the tale of two people who are so damaged, wanting to fix them seems inevitable…and sometimes, impossible.
Broken though they were, Haley and Aiden were still so likable. While I found their thought processes occasionally repetitive—there was a little too much back and forth internally for both of them—I also found their hesitations and concerns fitting for their own situations. I don't often highlight or quote the books I read, but my feelings for this couple can be easily summed up with one beautiful line:
“You might be broken, but I love every shattered piece of you.”
Oh man, this book. It really got to me. It was beautiful, simple and a roller coaster. In a word…captivating. I honestly couldn't bring myself to put this story down, especially as it edged ever closer to the ending—and yet, I finished it feeling a touch disappointed. There were some elements that felt a little rushed and unexplained, leaving me with a couple of questions. It wasn't enough, though, to curb my overall enjoyment in and love for Never Say Never. I may be left wondering and wishing for some more explanation, but the fact remains that I am STILL thinking about this book and this couple. Because I cared about them, and want more from them.
In the end, the ending gave me, if not exactly what I wanted, enough of what I needed to get closure. And to give me hope for what's to come from Ms. Goodwin in the future. ~ Beth, 4 stars
“You might be broken, but I love every shattered piece of you.”
When I first saw the cover of this book, I fell in love. I loved the coloring and the image made me curious. Then I read the synopsis and knew that this was a book that I had to check out.
Never Say Never follows the story of Haley and Aiden. Haley’s story is not an easy one and captured my heart from the very beginning. Haley is broken and is struggling to move on with her life. But that is easier said than done. The things that she has to deal with are enough to break just about anyone, but she is just taking it one day, one moment at a time. On the outside, Aiden looks like he’s got the perfect life. He’s rich. He’s handsome. He’s also an actor, and boy does he really know how to play the part. Only, Aiden has his own demons that he’s fighting. He uses his cocky attitude and drowns his sorrows in prescription meds and alcohol to keep everyone at bay; never letting anyone see who he really is. That is until he meets Haley. Haley is the first person to see beyond the facade he puts up. Together, the two them just might be able to heal and bring out some light in the darkness that lives inside them….
My only complaint was the pacing. If you know me, this is something that I really take issue with. I think this story started off with one heck of a bang, really pulling me into the story. But then somewhere around the middle, it started to drag. That was so disappointing to me, because it was going so well. The one good thing is that it does in fact pick up again, taking you for one last crazy ride.
Overall, I thought Never Say Never was a pretty good read. It is truly a beautiful story of loss, moving on, and finding a second chance at both love and life. I found the plot to be interesting and it held my interest. I loved how flawed and damaged the characters were and the issues they both had to overcome. This book had my emotions all over the place, but gave me a very satisfying ending.
*I was provided an ARC copy of this book, in exchange for an honest review*
This was a perfect story of love, loss, and finding your way. Both broken in different ways and in need of healing, Aiden and Haley bring you a beautifully broken love story.
Haley is trying to survive after a tragedy strikes and leaves her a complete mess and all alone with the horse rescue her and her mother run, well, until Aiden falls into her life. Aiden is good at pretending everything in his life is perfect, he has a job he loves and is good at, friends, and more money then he knows what to do with, but when his demons roll to the front of his mind, nothing helps the memories go away, that is until he meets Haley.
This book is full of emotional ups and downs that will keep you yearning for more. The characters are relatable and are written with the emotional power that makes you believe you are right there in the story with them. Watching two people try to overcome tragedy together is very emotional for the reader, but in a beautiful way. I enjoyed this one from Emily and recommend it to anyone looking for a beautifully written story. ;)
Emily is another new to me author this year and I had this book on my kindle for way too long. I choose this specific one, because I was craving a book with horses. And this one cut deep.
Even though Hayley and Aiden's story deals with heavy topics like loss, grief and addiction, it is beautiful. Both characters are absolutely believable and Hayley's grief is so raw, I constantly wanted to hug her. I'm glad she has a best friend like Lori who never gave up on her, tried to lift her up and was simply there for her. What I particularly liked about Hayley was her relationship and her animals (specially the horses). I admired her passion for saving horses and keeping them safe. This absolutely resonated with me.
Aiden is good at making people believe he’s got the perfect life. But he has his own demons that he’s fighting, never letting anyone see who he really is. Until Haley, she is the first person seeing beyond his façade.
Even though not everyone might be a fan of insta love. But with these two I think it just works. I love how they are good for each other, how they are able to see the real self of the other and are able to help the other heal.
I personally think that Aiden's story (his addiction problem and where it came from) was cut short. The main focus was clearly on Hayley and her grief, however I would have loved if Aiden's problems got explored deeper. Also the end felt a little rushed to me. These two things kept me from giving 5 stars or rounding up.
3.5 stars. I liked the story but it dragged in the middle for me. I found myself skipping to the last 10% to find out what happened. I liked the ending. sweet with a hea.
I remember browsing on Blood Rose Books, and I saw an interview with an author named Emily Goodwin. I had never heard of her, but her books sounded so good. And she seems to be a huge fan of romance, so I knew I would love her. I entered the giveaway for her latest book, Never Say Never, and I actually ended up winning! I couldn’t explain how excited I was. I’m a sucker for contemporary romances, and this book sounded amazing, so I was ecstatic to get the chance to read it.
WHAT I LIKED
THE ROMANCE. Emily Goodwin definitely knows how to write romance. It was amazing. The pace was perfect. Usually, the pace of a story, and especially the pace of a romantic relationship, either makes or breaks a book for me. And so often, I read books where the romance is just unrealistic and too fast. That is not the case here. Haley and Aiden meet and they gradually get to know each other. And they eventually fall in love. It was PERFECT. I loved everything about it. I wouldn’t change a thing. And since the romance is my favorite part of a book and usually the part I am most critical of, that’s saying a lot. I was so impressed. Plus, I have a soft spot for two damaged people falling in love. And that is what happens here. It’s heartbreaking and heartwarming all at the same time.
The two POVs. I LOVED that this book is told from both Haley’s POV and Aiden’s POV. You really get to know both of these characters in a way that would be impossible if it wasn’t told this way. Plus, it was done perfectly. The chapters were clearly labeled with the character’s name. I hate when you have to guess whose viewpoint it is. And the points of view were so distinctive. It was clearly two very different characters with very different voices. So often, the two points of views are so similar that it sounds like one person. So, I thought this was done well.
Dialogue. The dialogue was so natural and flowed well. Nothing felt forced or awkward. The conversations felt completely real. They reminded me of conversations my husband and I had when we first started dating. Loved it.
Plot. Yes, it is about an actor and a small town girl falling in love. We’ve heard it before. BUT this one seemed fresh and unique. They are each struggling with life in very different ways. Plus, I loved that Haley’s life revolved around rescuing horses. I have never read about this, and it was truly interesting. And the author obviously knew what she was talking about. This subject matter seemed very near and dear to her heart.
Aiden. I know I say this a lot, but I have a new favorite book boyfriend. This guy may be a wealthy actor who seems to have it all, but he is not happy, and he’s suffering with something no one knows about. He comes off as this cocky jerk, but that isn’t the real him. And I love that he is such a dynamic character. He gradually changed throughout the book. He doesn’t just instantly change when he meets Haley. It takes time, which was realistic. Plus, he has this super sweet and romantic side to him that I absolutely loved.
WHAT I DIDN’T LIKE
Absolutely nothing. It was perfect.
OVERALL THOUGHTS
I LOVE THIS BOOK. It tugged at my heartstrings and had me feeling all the feels. It is such a beautiful story. I was hooked from the very beginning. I haven’t read a real contemporary romance in a couple months, so this was just what I needed. Perfectly written. Brilliant. I HAVE to read more Emily Goodwin books. Goodreads, here I come!
FAVORITE QUOTES
“I think every life is worth saving. It’s easy to give up when no one is fighting for you. When you have no one, when nobody cares about you or loves you, why keep going? That’s what I give these horses. Hope, someone who knows they are worth it. I give them a second change.”
“In life, things can change, things can end, things can die in an instant. Maybe that’s the secret. Maybe that’s the key to being happy again. Take life for what it is, live in the moment, and enjoy something while it lasts.”
“Love is scary and crazy. It’s supposed to be. And it means having someone there to walk with you through the storm, picking you up when you can’t go on, carrying your baggage when you don’t have the strength to do so anymore.”

Haley Parker and Aiden Shepherd - Two lost souls burdened by more pain than one should ever endure.
Haley is still recovering from some dramatic events when Aiden unexpectedly crosses paths with her.
Aiden himself is a movie star with an image to maintain but behind closed doors all is dark, bitter and sad.
What happens when Aiden will meet Haley? Will she be his undoing or vice verse? Or will they saves each other from themselves?
“She is better than any drug, any drop of alcohol. She doesn’t just dull the pain; she takes it away.” - Aiden
>> Beautifully worded how he feels about Haley.
“Life doesn’t hand out happily ever afters. You have to work for them, claw your way through the darkness, through all the trials and tribulations, and find your own happiness. Then you hold on to it like it’s life itself, and in a sense it is. It’s someone else’s life, but it’s part of you, living, breathing, beating in sync with your heart. Aiden is my happily ever after. He is my second chance. And I want to be his.” - Haley
>> Haley when she realizes when Aiden could be the one to help her pick up the pieces of her shattered soul.
“Don’t let me go,” I whisper, my hands trembling. “Not yet.” I’m not going to. Not now, not ever. I’m never going to let you go.” “Never say never. Hearts get broken when you do.” “I am never going to break your heart. I love you, Haley. I will never hurt you.”
>> The part where the title makes sense.
“Love is scary and crazy. It’s supposed to be. And it means having someone there to walk with you through the storm, picking you up when you can’t go on, carrying your baggage when you don’t have the strength to do so anymore.”
>> Some parting advice which I found to be incredibly worded.
All by all I thought the story line not to be overly original but yet it had it’s own special turns and twists. The thing I loved the most where the amazing dialogues which I gave some examples of above. If not for the story line the writing alone should make you want to read this book!
As for you who follow my reviews, you know I like to add some of my own playlists to my reviews from time to time:
Warning - Prepare for an emotional roller coaster from the very beginning!
Never Say Never tells the story of Haley, a young woman who is struggling with the loss of her mother after a horrible accident claimed her life. After a rescue mission goes wrong, Haley is left to pick up the pieces and care for the farm and rescued horses. Just when life can't get any tougher, in walks Hollywood Playboy Aiden; turning her world upside down and possibly giving her a second chance at life? Can she overcome her grief and pain in order for her to let love in again? Or will their whirlwind lives and damaged pasts tear them apart before they can start?
This book was emotional from the start. Not going into details, it is quite sad at the beginning, but once you get past the base of why Haley is the way she is, this was a great read. I loved the chemistry between the two characters, and how they found happiness through helping each other through their own dark times.
Now, I don't usually like to post about spoilers, but I can't write this review without saying... OMG YOU HAD ME FREAKING OUT BY THE END FOR A HEA!!!! Seriously, I was talking to the screen and preparing myself for the worst! "Don't you dare let him die!"; "omg no no no!" and "I am going to lose it if he doesn't wake up!" were just a few of the thoughts through my head. I was borderline tears towards the end I had to stop reading for a few minutes to calm down lol
Overall this is a great, enjoyable read and I would recommend this book. I felt like it dragged on a little bit in the middle, but then made up for it with an emotional ending. It's so cute to see how far they have come in the Epilogue! ^_^

Haley, is a horse rescuer along side with her mother. They do an amazing job and do an amazing service to horses in their care. She loses her mother and now the farm and the horses are all her responsibility. Everyday she works with the horses it's a reminder that her mother is gone. Haley is strong she doesn't let that phase her she keeps pushing through.
Then the Hollywood most eligible bachelor comes into town. He is a straight up ass from the get go. A cocky one at that. He still has this lovable quality about that makes ladies want him nonetheless.
Aiden is on Haley's farm. He is intrigued of the type of work she does with the horses she rescues. Who would of thought that Aiden the type of person that can get any woman he desires, wants Haley.
This is the type of book that you feel the characters feeling through the whole story. Aides and Haley are complete opposites but, are one another's missing puzzle piece. Have tissues ready this one is a tear jerker.

After losing her mom & having to worry about making ends meet she meets this playboy who made her fall in love. Will it be enough or will he split. All she knows is she fell in love.
Haley helps her mom take care of and save horses that are mistreated and abused. When her mother is taken away from her in a terrible accident, Haley has a terrible time moving forward. She gets a job at the local newspaper and tries to live her life as best she can. Unfortunately she's having flashbacks from the accident and blames herself for her mother's death. She's lost her spark and confidence in herself- until she meets Aiden.
Aiden is the newest it guy in Hollywood. He's very good at putting on the perfect face and acting as he's expected. He's even better at forgetting his pain and secrets with alcohol and drugs. When he lands a new role in a cowboy movie, he ends up in the town where Haley lives. When's she's asked to interview him, Aiden knows she's different and wants to get to know her better. She turns him down but he's persistent. She's gives her horses a second chance when she saves them and he's hoping she can also be the person to give him a second chance at living.
This was a sweet story of finding love where you least expect it and learning to deal with your demons and nightmares. Both Aiden and Haley have suffered pain and both need to learn to live again. They're perfect for each other, but it's not an easy path when they're both scared of being hurt again.
This story is told from both Haley's and Aiden's POVs and has a very nice and sweet ending. 4.5 stars
This book is definitely one of my favorites of 2015. The prologue in this book is one of the best I have read.
The pain and heartbreak that Haley had to go through was tragic. Losing her mom in such a horrific way has scarred her for life. Some days she doesn’t even want to get out of bed. Haley uses all her strength to take care of the ranch and horses that her mother looked after. She struggles each day with all the work and the bills keep piling up.
Aiden had a traumatic childhood with a very abusive father. Now that he is rich and famous, he craves the attention that his fans give him. He never had that attention from his parents, so this is the closest thing.
When Aiden is on location in Montana for a movie shoot, he meets Haley. He is immediately drawn to her beauty, but he is also amazed with her caring heart. He has never met such a selfless person and someone who sees the real him and still wants him.
While Haley struggles to get control of her life, Aiden struggles to keep his demons at bay as well.
These two characters are perfect for each other. They help mend each other’s heart. I love animals and this story broke my heart. Hearing about such abuse makes me extremely sad that this happens in real life as well.
This was a beautiful love story. I did not want it to end. I absolutely recommend this book to read!!
What happens when two people who are both just living shadows of their lives meet? Of course, they fall in love and work together to fix their lives. Meet Aiden…movie star, big ego, with a HUGE secret. Filming a movie in a small town he meets Haley. Haley…newspaper writer who wishes she could just save horses that are being abused. She has also just lost her mother in a horrific accident and cannot come to terms with that. When these two meet sparks fly. It is evident from the beginning that they are both fighting personal battles. I was amused by how these two avoided their feelings about their lives yet were able to love each other so totally. It was interesting to see how they would fit together in the long term.
I have read a few of Emily’s books. This is the first one that I read some scenes and thought there might have been a little too much detail given. I like a steamy scene as much as the next person, but there were times that I thought TMI. It didn’t take anything away from the story but it did not add anything to the story either. For each of those scenes (there were only a few) there were twice as many sweet, sexy, and sensual scenes that made up for it. Aiden definitely won me over. Haley became someone that I wanted to be okay and happy.
I loved this book ... truly loved it. It was exceptional from the first chapter through to the last. Emily Goodwin has written a beautiful story about two broken people who find love in the most unexpected of places - an interview and a barn. Hayley is distraught after the loss of the only person who really loved her. She must rebuild her shattered life and once again become a strong, independent carefree woman. Aiden is your typical bad boy actor, or so it seems, whose life is semi dictated by his career, drugs and booze. He is a man lost, not able to rid himself of his inner demons. When these two broken people meet the sparks fly. The friendship blossoms into something neither of them ever expected - love. A tragedy and miscommunication nearly splits the two apart - but the will to survive triumphs. Their story had me laughing, crying and getting angry at times but I loved every minute of it. This is the first book of Emily Goodwin's that I have read but it most certainly won't be the last. I love her free flow style of writing and the ease it is to read. Ms Goodwin will definitely be gracing my Kindle again. Five stars all the way.
Never Say Never is a light read compared to many on the market at the moment. However, it tackles some serious subjects with a a pure since of love and grace.
Haley Parker is a strong young lady, with a passion for horses that feeds her soul. After facing a tragic loss, Haley struggles to keep her rescue going.
Aiden Shepherd is a famous Hollywood actor, who is haunted by a dark past, that threatens his future.
When Haley and Aiden meet, you want so much for them to find a way to help and heal each other.
Goodwin does a great job of conveying these characters in a fun and fast paced story line. That is just perfect for a quick afternoon read.
This book was not what I expected.. I'll be completely honest, there are issues in here that are very hard to deal with. That being said I'm so glad I read the whole book. Haley and Aiden are very relatable characters that aren't perfect. They are broken.. Each in their own way.. But perfect together. I cried, laughed, screamed and cried some more but at the end Emily made my heart whole. I wish I could give it 10 + stars because it deserves so much more than 5! Emily poured her heart and soul into this book and every page, every paragraph, every sentence, every word shows. It was phenomenal!
I was introduced to Emily Goodwin's work with her Contagion series and loved her writing. When I got the opportunity to read Never Say Never, I really wasn't sure what to expect. I have to say that I absolutely loved this book. The characters of Haley & Aiden are both fighting some dark things. They are both flawed, but you can't help but fall in love with both of them. This is a beautiful story of loss & redemption. This is one of those books where I feel the need to reread right away. LOVED it!
I got this book for an honest review and I am going to give an honest review. Yeah, I was disappointed. I expected better. It had a pretty good plot, nice character developments, and the emotions were raw. But it didn't have the pull that I need in a book to continue my journey towards the end, which was the saddest part. Some places lacked proper grammar. That being said- to each their own. ^_^ Turja
Me like-y this one. Two people broken fall in love what a sad but one hell of a read. "( I can`t help but smile too.) " You know, you`re kind of cocky." " Lets leave my cock out of this until I buy you a drink". I love cocky actors that are british . " You`re a little cocky you know" . " There`s nothing little about my cock."" Loved AIDEN! :)
I loved this story. It was so powerful and it held my attention the whole time. Your heart breaks when you read about the horses. I learned so many new things From this story. There should be more people like hailey in this world. I am so glad I decided to read this book. Well done!
So I'm not sure what to rate this because I stopped 40% in. Didn't really feel into the whole story but I'll give it another shot when I'm up for reading this type of genre.
I chose a 5 star rating because I loved the book. It has everything a story needs... romance..suspense..heartache..and most important second chances... because honestly we have all messed up one way or another in our lives and we have had to make the decision whether to leave or stay.... Haley and Aiden meet and instantly there's a connection... but Haley thinks Aiden is a jerk and Aiden can't understand why Haley would say no, when he asks her out. Does Haley finally give Aiden a chance?? During the story, you can feel how bad Haley hurts and how bad Aiden fights. There's drama and most importantly there's compassion.. each character has compassion for the other and they try to help each other work through their problems...but can they?? Will Haley fight her feelings or give in? Will Aiden trust in Haley enough to let her know his deepest darkest feelings and fears??? Read the book and find out...
