Knox. Like Fort Knox, right? Impossible to get into. I know what I want may be technically legal, but what I want to do to him? Maybe not. When Dad disappears and Mom remarries, the last thing I expect to get thrown into the dowry is a panty melting, sexy-as-hell step-brother. I guess that’s what Cory means by fate.Of course, It’d be alright if every time I looked at him I didn’t feel what I did. I have no reason to either. I mean, it’s not like he’s athletic, or particularly well endowed, or completely f*cking drop dead gorgeous, is it? I guess it’s a good job he can’t be mine, because if he could, lord knows he’d survive at all with what I want to do to him. Maybe the best things in life are the things you’re never meant to have. Right. Until you work out how to get them that is.This is an unapologetic standalone stepbrother romance novella designed to be devoured in one sitting.
International bestselling author Stephanie Brother writes high heat love stories with a hint of the forbidden. Since 2015, she’s been bringing to life handsome, flawed heroes who know how to treat their women. If you enjoy stories involving multiple lovers, including twins, triplets, stepbrothers, and their friends, you’re in the right place. When it comes to books and men, Stephanie truly believes it’s the more, the merrier.
She spends most of her day typing, drinking coffee, and interacting with readers.
Her books have been translated into German, French, and Spanish, and she has hit the Amazon bestseller list in seven countries.
I'm not sure what this was, but there was no romance. There was very little story and almost no dialog. It was like the purest form of telling, not showing.
I never dislike books by Stephanie Brother, but...
This is the first book I read from this author ( whom I usually largely enjoy reading, and have only come across books I thought of as " just 'ok' in comparison to other books that were by in large better) But I not only disliked the main characters as the story told is pretty weird in whether or not it is really a love story, or just the h's inner monologue on an infatuation.... And that's where I really had to leave a review, as a fan of practically all the books I've read from SB; I wanted to say, skip this one to all you out there who may be fans as well... Idk it was like I said above all from the view point of an inner monologue from the h, in a confusing , very ' stream of consciousness ' style of her recounting events from her weird way too abstract telling perspective that had me asking " wtf, she just said one thing and twisted it to almost sounding absolutely contradictory in the same paragraph " so much so that I was often wondering if she even thought her feelings were real, or if the way she worded things was her saying it wasnt??? I had no clue, and it was just non satisfying in any way due to his food and was more of very little that actually happened between the mc's ( seriously, she recounts maybe 4 times in which they had actual interaction and the rest is her rambling in between..
Eh. This was a fast read and it tried to hit steamy but I didn't feel it. Knox disappearing and then returning weeks later not able to resist... didn't do it for me. I think I got stuck on the orange stains from the bronzer the step dad used. One failed awkward attempt at the bar with first sighting of Knox and then one failed attempt at the house while the parents were out... this didn't paint a good picture for the FMC.
It was an alright quick read.... I like stepbrother romance but the chemistry between these two characters was lacking.... I couldn't get into this, even though it's a short read, I had to forced myself to finish it.....
So boring, confusing at points and its just not a good book. I have enjoyed a lot of Stephanie Brother books and was expecting something similar, kind of taboo and with good spice, but this just lacks any sort of story line.
This is a different type step brother book by Stephanie Brother. It is in the POV by the step sister and she is in crazy lust with her step brother Cory. She is in a lust/love to the point she would do ANYTHING for him. It was like she saw him as her everything after her life really was nothing. I liked her evolution and how she went for what she wanted. Cory was a unique step brother. The book ended on an abrupt ending. There is almost a cliff hanger like ending so there is almost like a possiblity that there will be a book 2. I do like this book is mainly in the woman's point of view --if there is a book 2, then I hope it will be in the step brother's POV. There is some hot scenes that only SB can write. I do recommend this story but be prepared for a unique experience which will have you thinking after the story is over.

This is one of the strangest stepbrother romances I've read. It's a novella by an author I usually love. Bad? No! Weird? Yes, but why? Well, I think it's because of the unusual writing style. It's sarcastic, funny, hugely descriptive, poetic and sometimes even like a subconscious stream of spiritual thinking.
It's not your average voice, that's for sure. Yet that makes this story unique. IT comes with not enough dialogue, a girl who is smitten to the point of blind, fated lust-love, sex scenes turned into religious experiences... Despite the abrupt ending that left me with a sense of plot interrupted, it was an interesting read that I enjoyed.
Still, I've read other stories by this author that left me breathless with want and joy. At the end of this one, there is another, a part 1 of Giving my Billionaire Stepbrother a Baby, and wow, that one is daring, gorgeous and sexy as hell.
Normally, I really like Brother's work. Having said that, I'm not sure what the heck this was exactly. It seemed like a never ending bit of inner dialogue or an overly wordy diary of a teenaged girl. It wasn't romantic, it wasn't erotic, it was just painfully time consuming. This is NOT an erotic romance. Please don't bother with this one, save yourself.
This book is nothing like what I have come to expect from Stephanie Brother. I have read several novels by Stephanie, and when I read this one, all I can seem to think is, "Who in the world wrote this? There is no way this is Stephanie's work."
This is unfeeling and just bland. It all read out more like a teenager's diary entry than a romance novel.
I love Stephanie Brother as a writer, but this is not something I can recommend.
This story is okay not like others I have read by Stephanie Brother. It is more or less told from the step sister's point of view. The reason I say this is cause it is like she is telling the story of how they try to stay away from one another. Not saying it isn't good, but just different.
I've read a lot of Stephanie Brother's books and really enjoyed reading them and was quite surprised that Knox was a little different from Ms. Brother's usual story telling. Knox is a quick, fast-paced, steamy, amazing story.
