I am a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, a friend,a reader, a writer, and a self proclaimed comedian. (Just not always in that order.)

I have loved reading ever since I was a little girl, in fact one of the first series I remember falling in love with was the Sweet Valley High series by Francine Pascal. Those books started my obsession with series/related books.

Writing has always been a passion of mine and I feel blessed to have the opportunity to put on paper the stories I've dreamed up in my head.

I can't wait for you to meet my "friends" in the Charistown series as well as in my other books. I have fallen in love with each and everyone of them and I think you will too.

Some fun facts about me....If I could only have one food for the rest of my life - it would be french fries! I love them! I also love Godiva Raspberry Truffles. Ok, enough about me.

I hope to hear from you soon,
Lisa

The history of Julie and Danny is finally told in the conclusion of the series. Just how did these two land in Charistown and owners of a bar named Danny’s on Main? Well all is revealed in their novel, which leaves most of the characters with a little expanded HEA as well.

After meeting Danny & Julie in Thursday Nights I was a little curious as to how they ended up as the foundation of this expanded family of employees and customers, and in Danny’s Main you are given the full story. The happy times, the heartbreaking moments and the struggle to ensure that you keep love your focus and keep those you love close over a few decades.

I think Lisa N. Paul gave these two the story they needed. One that gave their characters the justice they deserved and it really blended all the characters together in a perfect way.

For those that are fans of this series, this will be a loved story – melting the entire series together. For me as a reader who did not read the full series (yet) I can say that it did make me want to dive into books two and three to get the full story of the other characters.

It has been a long time since I have had a book emotionally gut me, tear me open, and then heal me. It takes a special story, special characters and love and emotions poured onto the pages. THIS is the book that tipped me over the edge.

Julie and Danny’s story starts right away, first page, and it was perfect. The trials they face together—some made me laugh, some made me love, and some broke my heart, but each one made me feel like these characters were real!

This book will be tough to read for some. But I realized as I read that it could be anyone of my friends, or me, going through everything these two do. There are quite a few points in this book that I was personally able to relate to, and that made the experience of this story fly off the pages for me.

This is my fist book by Lisa N Paul, but I will be back for more and more! Her writing style puts you into the middle of the story, middle of the family, middle of the emotions. ~ Devlynn, 5 stars

Danny's Main is an amazing story that will resonate with readers because there are a lot of valuable life lessons in Danny and Julie's story...teachings that are unexplainable and heartbreaking but ones that speak to the character and strength of those who learn them. Danny and Julie had to endure a number of unspeakable losses that test their faith, not in each other, but in terms of their resilience to persevere and continue battling the darkness that seems to shroud them.

I'm so glad Paul decided to listen to Danny's voice demanding that she tell his story because it's one that readers don't want to miss.

The feels of this book range from pain and suffering to joy and adulation. The bond between Danny and Julie never wavered despite all of the loss and tragedy that surrounded their lives and that's a testament to how Paul created and molded them as individuals and as a couple.

This books spans several decades of Danny and Julie's life together and through those years, Danny is steadfast in his love and adoration for Julie and it shows in everything that he does for her. He is a completely selfless man who fights for those he loves, even when they can't fight for themselves.

Julie is not quite as open as Danny is and I think that stems from the fact that she is more introspective and allows things to weigh her down by trying to handle them on her own. My perception of her felt a bit incomplete until the end of the text but to me, that's not a flaw of the book; it's just a reminder of how different people can respond to the same difficulties based on who they are and what they've already faced on their own.

An aspect of the book that worked so well for me and provided a new perspective on the other couples from the series is Danny and Julie finding their kids when they opened Danny's On Main and witnesses the dark shadows lessen when they met the person who could help them heal. In those scenes, readers truly understand how deeply Danny and Julie care and love their "family" members and the lengths that they go to, to show that love.

Danny is Julie's Main and Julie is Danny's Main and together, they created Danny's On Main, not only to do a job they love, but also to give those who need it a home and a family who may not be blood, but they epitomize what it means to love unconditionally and give fully of themselves without asking for anything else in return.

This is one fantastic series, and I can't wait for more!

HOT STAND ALONE! One of my favorite reads of the year! MUST NOT MISS!! 5 ++++++++++

A man walks into a bar...and that's how this emotional roller coaster of a story opens.

We meet Julie and Danny, two central, yet in the background characters, from Lisa's Charistown Series. But know this...Danny's Main is a stand-alone novel and you don't have to have read the other books in the series to appreciate the story.

Danny and Julie fall for each other early in the story, but that is not the end of their romance, because their love ENDURES and is completely EPIC. The story itself is about their trials and tribulations, the people who get in their way and the circumstances that life throws at them.

Family problems, death, infertility, none of it is left untouched in this book....YET, you aren't bogged down in depression when you read it! TRUST me, I am not an "ugly cry" book lover, and although this book will evoke some deep emotions in you, Lisa leaves you HAPPY at the end. THIS couple is amazing and their HEA is just as incredible.

What I like about Lisa's writing style is her characters. She breathes life into them with her descriptions and details until you truly feel as if Danny and Julie and their family and friends are sitting right at the table with you.

Don't miss this phenomenal ROLLER COASTER read!

I was lucky enough to read this book before it was released. I knew nothing of this author's work prior to Danny's Main. I absolutely loved this story. It kept me captivated from the first page to the last. It was so well written smooth flowing and easy to read with such intense characters you couldn't help putting yourself in their shoes and living their lives as the story unfolds. I went through a barrage of emotions. Danny and Julie's story spans over years it is one of mutual respect and perseverance through the good the bad and the ugly. The best way I can describe Danny and Julie's story is something that I read, A Perfect Marriage is just two imperfect people who refuse to give up on Each Other. Lisa N. Paul has become one of my favorite authors and can't wait for her next write.

Danny and Julie!!! I was so happy to hear we were getting their story. Ever since Thursday Nights I've wanted to dive into them and see how they came to be and boy was their story so amazing and I love love loved it! I absolutely adore them so much! Their love, strength, marriage and devotion is something to be admired and looked up to. I felt like I was in the thick of it right there with them. Seeing the unwavering strength and love that they have for each other to get through all the things they have had to endure was truly beautiful.

The author takes us on this truly amazing ride and we get to see up close and personal how Danny and Julie get to Charistown and how they made this incredible life they have with their "family" and with each other. This book had it all! Fierce love, loss, friends, family, adventure and beauty...Oh and of course the steamy scenes Lisa N. Paul is so damn good at writing!

As a huge fan of the series I cherished seeing how the gang from Thursday Nights, Storm Front and Breaking to Breathe came into play at Danny's Main bar! The authors writing is so amazing and she always pulls me in and makes me love and care about ALL of her characters!

Review: Danny's Main
written By: Lisa N Paul

I received an ARC for an honest review. This was the first book I have read by Lisa Paul and I will be reading more. This is the perfect love story, has all the emotions of the first meeting, to the first date, first kiss and every first and second that could possibly happen in a relationship. I loved Danny and Julie, they just fit. Lisa wrote a beautiful love story. This book had me crying and laughing and once I started I could not put it down. For every unhappy moment they had as a couple, they had a even happier one. I loved how she intertwined all of the characters of the book and gave you just enough of each person but left enough out so she could write a story about each couple and I look forward to those stories. This may have been my first book by her, but it will not be my last. This is definitely a 5 star read for me. Thanks for the fabulous book Lisa!!!!

This book falls within The Charistown Series by the author but can easily be read as a standalone or as an opener to the series or if you have read the series a look back at the life of two characters. A lovely book that covers almost 30 years of the couple's relationship, with many great reminders of the years as they pass, the pacing of the timeframe is done smoothly without feeling dragged out.

I just loved the character of Danny, he is rough around the edges but loves fiercely and none more than his wife Julie. He is hot, sexy, and quite a dirty talker which I loved about him. When we met Danny he wasn't looking for anything more than having a drink to forget the anniversary of his brother's death until he encountered Julie behind the bar. I loved the way the start of their relationship played out and that it took Danny by surprise. Julie is a lovely character, strong willed and independent even though her story from the start was quite tragic. I loved the way she handled Danny from the beginning and constantly kept him on his toes.

I loved their story together even though they went through so many hard times they endured them together and always came back stronger as individuals and as a couple. It was great to see how their bar 'Danny's on Main' came to be and how we got to meet a cast of characters along the way that came into Danny & Julie's life and as a result built the family that they so greatly deserved.

A lovely lovely read that made me laugh, cry, sigh and which I thoroughly enjoyed.

WHAT AN AMAZING BOOK! Lisa really nailed this one out of the park. I fell in love with the residents in Charistown years ago during Thursday Nights. Throughout the series, we see the loving married couple Danny and Julie. They are the bar owners so dish out great advice to their employees but we never heard their journey. Well this book is it and it has all the feels. The emotions this book brought out in me shocked me.

Danny walked into a bar where Julie worked as a young man. Immediately taken with her spunk and beauty he had to have her. And had her he did. Danny is by far the yummiest dominating man in Charistown. The way he loved Julie was inspiring and had me swooning on more than one occasion.

But Danny and Julie’s life wasn’t all hot sex (but they had it that’s for sure) and roses. It was full of trials and heart break after heart break. Julie was an amazingly strong character. She may have lost her way a time or two but she knew she was a rock to Danny’s foundation and with the help of loved ones she did.
Lisa N Paul really gave us a story that could have been anyone of our real life stories. The realness of their love story flew off the pages and straight into my heart! I also loved seeing how they met their employees turned family as each other came into their lives. So beautiful.

If you haven’t read this series, you need to binge read ASAP! It is one that should not be missed.

Danny’s Main is a strong love story about Danny and Julie making a life together—a life full of intense love, friendships, an unconventional family, and loss. Lisa N. Paul takes you deep in the lives of the characters and makes you feel everything!

Oh my - Lisa N. Paul's latest release, Danny's on Main was a seriously intense and emotional ride. Holy freaking love story.

When I started Danny and Julie's story I wondered if when it was over, I would wish that I had read it before the other Charistown books or if it would be the perfect conclusion to a series that I've loved. The honest answer is that it was both.

The book opens twenty-eight years ago and it was fun to flashback to this couple as young adults. Danny and Julie have always been the backbone to the Charistown series - the support system that has helped lead their staff members aka 'their kids' through their own personal relationship issues. So it was incredible to step into their shoes, live through their own romantic circumstances and to learn how they became so wise as to always have the perfect advice.

Their journey was overwhelming and it took me longer than normal to finish reading it - I just couldn't devour their story. Not because it was horrible or because it was written poorly...in fact it was the complete opposite of that.

Danny and Julie had an epic relationship and connection but beyond their love nothing about their life was easy. Some of their struggles, I personally knew and the author's words captured how I felt in those instances. It was both amazing and difficult - it was as though Lisa was sharing my inner turmoil. Their plot resonated so strongly with me that at times I was unable to continue reading without needing a break.

It was insane how emotional I felt during my time with these characters. I laughed and I cried - I hurt when they hurt and I celebrated their achievements. It was spectacular writing.

The way the plot unfolded, I felt that Danny's on Main complimented and completed the series by giving me the last story of the Charistown family while giving a bird's-eye view of events I really experienced. As the book got closer to the present (when the various events of the other Charistown books would be) all I wanted to do was reread all the books in this series. And if I had not read those books, I would absolutely be purchasing them to read.

Overall, it was an awesome reading experience for me - the book made me feel and I loved it. Danny's on Main is one story that I would definitely recommend others check out.

A man walks into a bar.

This book is part of Lisa's Charistown series, but its written in such a way as it can be read last or first, as the majority of this story takes place long before the events of the other three books published so far.

The words we read at the start of chapter one, before that man walks into that bar, sets the scene ... "Twenty-Eight Years Ago".

One might be forgiven for thinking, upon seeing those words, that this was the set up for a second chance romance. That we'd see a couple meet, break up over some misunderstanding, only to be reunited decades later, but this isn't that kind of book.

While so many books tell the story of finding that love of a lifetime, this one tells the story of a lifetime of love.

I wont get heavily into the spoilers, suffice it to say that we get to witness Danny and Julie as they traverse life's highs and lows together, many of them eerily similar to my own experience, and its from that personal experience that I can say that their experiences ring true. Their triumphs and tragedies resonated with my own in such a way that I FELT this book like few others I've come across. When it came time for tears, I didn't shed them in sympathy for their pain, I felt it as if it were my own, and conversely with the pride and happiness that they experience. That was mine too.

Told first person, alternating between Danny's and Julie's POVs this is a captivating novel that traverses the decades and does so with style, from the fancy new-fangled brick phones that were installed in cars in the late '80s through to the modern day cell phones, this book demonstrates throughout that its been well researched, well thought out, and above all, well written.

Fans of the Charistown series you will NOT be disappointed with this one! Danny's Main is the much awaited story of Danny and Julie's emotional journey to find their HEA and beyond. While it can be read as a standalone, I do highly recommend getting to know all the secondary characters by reading the other books in the series first (but that's just my preference). Lisa Paul has done a beautiful job in telling this love story; the emotional pull is so strong, you will truly feel as if you are right there experiencing everything Julie and Danny go through from beginning to end.

Lisa Paul is such a talented writer, and this latest book is no exception. From the very beginning I was hooked and curious to see how this love story would unfold. It was like reading a piece of Charistown history - going back in time and learning how this strong, loving couple came to be. Surviving so many heartaches, and hardships that would have destroyed others, their love was so strong, their belief in what was meant to be was so captivating, I admired both of them so much for their bravery and their enduring love and strength. A lot of tears were shed during the reading of this story, it just cannot be helped. Some are happy, some are so sad. But in the end these life experiences lead to a beautiful family, a beautiful love story and a wonderful amazing almost magical place we've come to know and love, called Charistown.

Thank you Lisa Paul for giving us this special story. Danny's Main is truly some of your finest writing to date and I am a fan for life, I cannot wait to see what you have in store for us next.

I have been waiting on this book to come out from Lisa N Paul having loved the whole series so far. I was not disappointed as I knew I would not be, this story is so tender and heartfelt it literally makes you appreciate everything around you and all you have.

Julie and Danny be no means have it easy, both have had trials and tribulations they have had to face in their lives but this books shows that no matter what happens, if you love someone and have that special person in your life, you can tackle everything that is thrown your way and move on and build from it.

During this book though there were times where I just broke down and cried my eyes out for what these two deal with.

The love these two have for each other surpasses many I have read about it and is their love that keeps them going. They truly are an amazing couple. To me they are the type of couple you actually look up to and admire. I know Julie and Danny are fictional but OMG if they were real I would be honoured to be in their company and to call them friend.

This book will give you every emotion on this planet and you will love it all.

Lisa N Paul takes you on a journey with these characters and her writing is so good you actually feel as if you are walking in Julie and Danny’s shadow, it just felt so real.

If you are looking for that book to give you everything but make you smile at the end of it then this is it for you, you will laugh, cry and fall in love with all the characters in here, Lisa’s writing is that good.

Most of all though you will read this book and admire Julie and Danny.

Enjoy & Happy Reading.

"'If we're being honest, Julie, then don't lie' [...] 'I'm sure you're concerned for my safety, and for that, I'm grateful. But don't pretend you haven't spent tonight wondering what it would feel like to have me kiss you. And 'cause we're only doing the truth here, my truth is I've been dying to taste your lips since the second I saw them.'"

Sigh. Yea, from here, I pretty much fell in love with Danny and Julie.

As the description states, this book is part of Paul's Charistown series; however, it is a standalone that can be read as a series prequel or epilogue flashback. Danny's Main is my first Lisa N. Paul book, but it certainly will not be my last! The story of Danny Marcus and Julie Bell, Danny's Main is a 28+ year journey of their love, from the very first hello, through heartache, loss, and life. Beautifully written, it tore me apart and put me back together again, and it stayed with me long after the final page.

There is a realness and an honesty to these characters, and their story touched me on a deeply emotional level, as I am sure it will do for many, many readers. Their connection is instant, their spark hot, their love unwavering. Danny and Julie are a beautiful couple; one to adore, admire, and emulate. Where many couples would grow apart or crumble, they endure.

Danny's Main is a story of love and hope, the resilience of the human spirit, and the strength that comes from having the right one by your side.

Sargent Danny Marcus finds himself walking into a bar in Korea. Today is the day of his brother Jeff's death. Reading on, you still wonder what happened to Jeff, was he military? Was it suicide? Was it murder? We only know how it tore his family apart due to other things that happened from his older brother's death. For Danny and Julie, each of them have had tragedies in their pasts, tragedies of the worst kinds. Yet, their love still finds a way to conquer all, even when you think that they've hit the proverbial brick wall with a tragedy for the couple itself, Danny keeps fighting for them. This after losing Nash, his younger brother, but I won't tell you how. Watch as this contemporary romance takes you through all the parts of the wedding vows that are held sacred, especially the good times and bad, in sickness and in health. Watch as Danny finds a way to get through to Julie and what happens after he does. How does one truly define 'family'? This is what the main theme of this book is about, and it totally rocks their world.

It was no surprise to me at all that the story behind the matriarch and patriarch of the Charistown series ended up being an EPIC ROMANCE, spanning almost 3 decades. What WAS wonderfully surprising for me was reading this story and easily changing my view of Danny and Julie as mother and father figures, to a man and woman who endured personal heartbreak before they met, coming together as a young couple who fall in love fast and furious, and live a lifetime of love, passion, heartbreak, and loss.

I could relate to some of what this couple endured over the years, and found myself laughing and crying with this cast of characters. The theme throughout this series is that, "Family doesn't always have to come with blood. It only has to come with love." This quote from the book is beautifully illustrated in Danny and Julie's story. I loved seeing how the Charistown family came to be, and am anxious for Lyla and Gage's story next!

Overall, this book was a beautifully written must read! It was contemporary romance at its best! This book can be read as a stand-alone novel, but I highly recommend reading the entire series to see the other characters and their stories mentioned in this book.

The beginning and very end is the reason I rated this a 3. Everything in between earned way less than that. But I started off smiling and giddy with the hope of their new relationship and ended smiling with some of the things said. My biggest probably is that this story is about their life, not just their beginning and with that I never saw enough of a fall to connect hard core for such a length life story. Bad turn after bad turn, time jump after time jump, I wished for the good beginning to carry through the whole thing. There were some great liners, some steamy scenes but all of it lacked true love and that permanent bond.

“You said you weren’t interested in anything but your thoughts tonight.”
“Been holding memories close all day. Without sounding like a cheesy loser, I’d appreciate the change to hold you for a little while instead.”

“I hope you don’t mind sweet.” She gestured to the pitcher.
“Drink it sweet, drink it tart” his gaze dropped to her lips “cool, hot…just want it on my tongue Jules.”

I am so happy we get Danny and Julie's story. Sometimes when you are not looking the one thing that makes you feel whole again is behind a Bar when you just want to forget the pass losses. After a long day Danny just want to drink away his pain on the anniversary of losing his big brother. Julie tending bat like always is drawn to the new coming. When both give in to the pull and have the best sex they ever had, a misunderstanding makes the wonder was it real. Danny and Julie get together and sparks fly and a Love like no other is born. When personal tragedy happens to Julie she blames herself and locks the pain away and pulls away. Danny isn't.ready to lose the one person that makes him complete. With the fight in him he gets his Jules back and they make a life only the true romantic at heart could understand. grab this book and see the Love that two people have for one another and get the family they long to have in Danny's Main. I so love all the work for this author.

This book is well written, smooth flowing, and easy to read. I loved the characters and enjoyed getting to read their story. This is book 4 in the series, each book can be read as a standalone (I have not read the first 3 books). It is a very heartfelt book. I felt the emotions coming from the characters and if I were right there with them. The imagery was amazing. I could visualize every scene.

Danny was an amazing character. He is a lead alpha male, that is also sweet, caring and compassionate. He was broken, looking to find something more out of life. Meeting Julie will change his life.

Julie is working at Chester's Bar when Sgt. Danny Marcus walks into the bar, blissfully unaware that her life would forever be changed. She soon found herself enamored with Sgt. Danny Marcus.

This book depicts their journey. Their happiness, their sorrow and heartbreak. It is a beautiful story and I look forward to reading the rest of the series.

It's a shame that there is no diamond stars, 'cause Danny's Main deserve them!!!

I've been a fan of the series since the start, and to be presented with with the beginning with The Charistown world was wonderful.
Julie and Danny's story its a teary lovely one, and how they face the things that life throws at them and be able to survive with their chins up.
Prepared yourself for a mind blowing rollercoaster where your heart is ripped apart then put back together, and the need of tissues (lots of them) will be awful.
This is a story of survival.
Lisa did a marvelous job with this, the best book of the series, She exceeded my expectations and surpasses herself with Danny's Main from the other books on the series and I really Loved STORM FRONT.
I hope her readers and new readers love Danny and Julie like I LOVE them.

LOVE!! LOVE!! LOVE!! I discovered the Charistown Series last year and I simply could not get enough. It has been a long year waiting for Danny’s and Julie’s story.

Those of you who know me, know that I don’t give out 5 stars that often. For a book to receive a 5 stars, I must not just enjoy the book, I must feel a personal connection to its story, characters and all their emotions. That is what Danny’s Main did to me… it touched me to the point that I cried… and I rarely cry when reading. Lisa’s writing, for lack of better word, is amazing. What makes Danny’s Main such a great story is that everyone can associate themselves to Danny and Julie at some point in their story. That you are 20 or 50, you will be able to relate to them and you may even get a little inspired by them…I know I did. IT IS A MUST READ

Danny and Julie rocked Lisa's new book. A prequel to the Charistown series but a total stand alone also. The way Lisa wrote the total story of Danny and Julie's love and commitment to each other while the characters from her other books were around without giving away their stories was genius. Danny and Julie's story is socked with tears, sex, more tears, and more sensual scenes. All the things that go into making strong characters stronger and the story more awesome. I have to say I loved this book, But the ending was pure GENIUS!!! Sigh

WHEN IT COMES TO THIS SERIES OF BOOKS ALL I CAN SAY AFTER READING ANOTHER ONE IS WOW!!! MY ONLY COMPLAINT IS WAITING SO LONG FOR THE NEXT ONE IT TOOK OVER A YEAR (TELL ME IF I'M WRONG) TO GET THIS ONE BUT ONCE AGAIN IT WAS SOOOOOOOOOOOO WORTH THE WAIT.

MS PAUL ALWAYS TUGS AT YOUR HEARTSTRINGS AND JUST WHEN YOU WANT THINGS TO GO SMOOTHLY YOU LITERALLY CRINGE WHEN IT DOESN'T.

ALL I WILL FINISH WITH IS HURRY UP WITH LYLA'S STORY AND DONT LEAVE IT SO LONG NEXT TIME FOR THE NEXT BOOK!!!

THANKS FOR A TRUE CORKER ABSOLUTELY LOVED DANNY AND JULIE AND JUST TO SAY CHESTER IS A TRUE SWEETHEART!!!

I couldn't wait to read Danny and Julie's story. From the beginning of the series I always wondered how they became the family that they were. All it took was walking into a bar to change his life. This is the story of true love, overcoming life's challenges and coming out stronger on the other side. The bar became their home, their employees became their children and their lives became complete. I've loved everything that Lisa has written and can't wait to read more from her.

I was lucky enough to get a copy of Danny's Main before it has been officially released. So many thoughts have been running through my head but first and foremost is that I am in love with Danny and Julie. Their story is of true love and devotion to each other and their "family". As unconventional as their family is, it is what they were meant to be. It is where they were meant be. It was who they were meant to be.

There almost aren't words for how much I loved this book. I am a HUGE fan of Lisa N Paul and was so excited to be able to read Julie and Danny ' s story. Danny ' s Main is an absolutely epic love story. A love story that is real, a love story that is happy and heartbreaking, a love story that spans the decades, a love story that is HOT! Danny and Julie show us that family and love aren't always about blood.
