The Raven has hidden among them all their lives, waiting to attack; now she is at full strength. Her darkness and brutality is unmatched. And before the battle is over, Noru blood will spill...
What’s with all the casual sex. How did this series ever make it into the young adult section? Hasn’t this author ever heard that love and fidelity go hand in hand. Every time I turned around they were in bed with a different person. Silver has slept with more girls than a prostitute, and this is while he’s supposed to be desperately in love with Pry. And Pry is taking up casual sex, stripping in bars, and excessive drinking. I mean, come on, there are young girls reading this. And this is in every book so far.
I’m not a prude. I’m as accepting as the next person, but I think it might be getting out of hand in this series. Sorry, but this is not a true depiction of love/romance.
I actually surprised at my obsession. The writing is amazing, I am in love with these characters. Before reading the last two noru books I re-read the whole guardian series because I knew the book would end too soon. I hate reading spoilers so my review is limited with that being said each book has similar relationship dynamics but because you are so wrapped into the characters is doesn't become repetitive not even predictable. If you read all the books you can start to predict possible outcomes because you know the players and this world that Lola StVil has created is ingrained at this point in the series so you know the rules so to speak. I cannot express enough that this a must read that will make you cry and laugh at the same time. Kiddos too for keeping the guardians in this book not to much but enough to keep the pleasure of knowing them alive!
I love the concept and the passion of the characters but at the back of my mind, why are these teenagers having a very active sex life? Not a very good example for the younger people reading the series! Don’t get me wrong the story is very engaging and once you start reading it, you won’t be able to put the books down, the passionate, exploding R-rated scenes involving teens are my only concern.
I will be anxiously waiting for the next book in the series...hate and won't accept Pry's decision for Aaden. ...am hopeful for the new plot twist to be one great adventure in the team's mission to bring Jason under control.
SPOILER please say I'm not the only one who's heart hurts for aiden?!?!now I know why the ending was in his POV like I was tears. don't get me wrong I like bex but I did not see that coming..
I did not write any previous reviews to this series. However I must at this point LOL At first I wasn't sure how to feel about this series, there are a lot of things that just don't sit right with me. The age of the characters and the fact that they are sexually active bothers me. And the fact that it says younger readers can stop and then start again on the next chapter makes our younger readers want to continue I'm pretty sure. As this serious continued it did keep it did keep my interest but I felt like it was very repetitive, like they would use a word made up in the book which was already explained at least three other times and they explained yet again with that word means. That's just a waste of blank space in my opinion. And then the thing that makes me laugh the most is how everyone is always eavesdropping on each other's conversations that way the author can somehow start talking about what the other person overheard instead of just starting out with that other character that is a little off for me. There were a few things that surprised me but also parts where it was very predictable yet I continue reading. I'm already this invested I want to know how this series finishes.
This book was great! I loved every second of it. There were so many things that happened- more tragedy, more deaths. I love Silver, but I am glad he finally understands all he did wrong. I feel for Swoop and the relationship she could not have with the man she loved. I am heartbroken for Randy and all he lost in such a short time. Pryor has definitely matured more and she has grown a bit more on me. Diana has atoned for all her sins. Sometimes I even forget she is still a demon. Bex... Bex is finally given the opportunity he has deserved and been a long time coming. I just hope it all works out because he deserves so much happiness! That cliffhanger was a bit too much for me to handle. I am ready for the next book...
It's starting to get more interesting for me. I can only hope the next book continue to keep me intrigued since some of the earlier books were a struggle to read. Curiosity kept me going so I hope it gets better. Hope Pryor has better sense than her parents...
I find this series very interesting, new concepts and fast paced story keep me involved. However the series needs better editors there are way to many inconsistencies throughout this series. One I'm going to point out is in the beginning of the book Prior hears her father and Rage talking about how Rage is dating Winter (Easton's mother) however at the end of the book she acts like she never heard of it till Aiden tells her about East confronting Aiden about their relationship... and this is only one example out of several that grate on my nerves. (Sorry if any character names are spelled wrong I am listening to the audio versions of this book so I've never actually read the names myself.) Also inconstant is a problem with the audio books books 1-4 says Malacaro's name a certain way and now in book 5 they suddenly change the way they say it! It's annoying and it was confusing at first... I was like who? And they changed how to say Sparks given name in book 5 as well...that also was a bit annoying.
I am hooked! woo i need #6 like now now!! I am all team KON! Bex is the one, I just know it. In the beginning I was all for Aaden but nope, not after all he's done. Not after the countless people he's bedded and then claim to have Pryor on his mind. uh..uh....it don't work like that kid. Honestly I've gotten used to him and the demon girl. At first I didn't like it but the baby truly changed things plus he already had deep feelings for her. No matter how much he "loves" Pryor, she has never been his #1. And in the end, thats what counts. When you are willing to put the one you love above all, and I think now she sees it. THE ENDING!!...WTF?!! I'm just going to stop right here because everything else will be spoilers and ramblings. But damn, I couldn't put the book down!
Don't get me wrong, this book was still good, but the others were better. There were many unexpected twists and turns, especially the cliffhanger. I really hope the next book comes out soon. It was nice to sees Pyron mature.
*******SPOILER*********
I felt bad for Aedan when he sees that Pyron moved on. Yet, she did not do anything that he didn't do, and that was when he was stringing her along. I hope Aedan and Diana get back together. They seem to have more chemistry together than Aedan and Pyron did, and he left Pyron for Diana. So, it would make sense. I for one am glad that Bex is the chosen one. He has always been there, accepted her and loved/protected Pyron.
I didn't write a review after the first four books because had to keep reading. The series is a continuation of the Guardians, therefore if you have not read that series or at least the first book you might be lost. The books are about children of guardians and other beings making them much more powerful than other angels. This tends to make some angles upset to know that they are so much more powerful, a lot of battles. Be aware there are some explicit parts but,you are warned and as a adult they are very tastefully done. Great books make sure you have time to read you won't want to put them down.
Maybe I read it too fast, but I wasn't as in love with this book as I wanted to be. First off, totally called the Raven's identity. But I had no indication of Swoop's secret. I'm a bit over the broken heart destroys the world thing they have going on, think Omnis was right about that. The 24 hour light portal was completely unexpected. With all the hype around #nononeissafe the death wasn't shocking, it was actually poetic.
I am starting to wonder about Marcus Cane's children. I feel like Malakaro is playing a game of chess and pry is out of control. I also really want Sam to come back. He needs to somehow pop back in the story (you know the whole immortal thing) and teach Malakaro a lesson. Oh and why do I have a feeling Redd will be coming back?
I liked the book, maybe not as much as I liked the other ones, but I still can't wait for the next one.
Noru 5: another great read/exciting/edge of the seat !!!'
I have enjoyed all of your book. I can't wait until fall of 2016. Girl you really need to get to writing quickly. Lol I know it takes time. I've read them all. That's lots of books. I read the Guardian series then The Noru series I just finished Book Five. You are an excellent Author!!!' Thanks you for hours of enjoyment. What's going to happen with Pryor and Aiden ?!
This book was incredible! The way the author, Lola St.Vil, threw unexpected twist and turns throughout the duration of the novel really kept the reader on his/her toes. I thought this was one of the better books in the series because of how the author indulged more deeply into the lives of the seemingly minor characters. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves paranormal romance or anyone who loves a book where they never know what will happen next!
Ways Of The Wicked did not disappoint! Although it is book 5 in the Noru series, it still has all that action packed goodness with a tip of sorrow. I had crazy emotions while reading this book, coming to terms with past and present was very emotional and heartfelt. In true Noru style the book left us screaming with a pretty big cliff hanger!
love. love. love. love. not a happy person that I have to wait for a year for the next book but I will survive. I think I actually told myself no last night five times before I put my kindle down and went into a state of shock. I dessert I both love lola and hate her at the same time. she's too good at ending on av cliff hanger!
The Team has battled many creatures trying to defeat Evil and has lost one of it's own to the darkness that wants to rule the world. Omnis comes to Earth to visit the Team and congratulate them for their efforts, but he sends them home having taken away their powers so that they will mature in order to defeat Malakro.
I swear each book gets better and better. I have never read a series that has stirred up so much emotions that I end up screaming at my tablet in public. My husband thinks I have lost my mind and he is right it's trapped in the guardian and noru series. Thank you Lola for another amazing book!
Lola does it again! Ways of the Wicked picks up where book 4 left off. The team has grown up a lot since book 1, and it's awesome to see the growth of the Noru! The story is well written and captivating. So good I finished it in one day!!
I loved the story, but am disappointed in the characters. I love this series and you know you're to invested when your cursing the author for plot twists that you don't like. Now I have have to wait a year to see what happens.
Nuro just get better and better with every series, good fight scenes, relationship issues, and twist and turns add steamy love scenes and you can not put this back down a very good read that keep you wanting more.
Didn't see that coming. It was the most emotional book in the series so far. You get to understand better Aaden, and watch the team grow up. There are choices, mistakes, and desires flowing through the pages of this book.
I enjoyed all of the Guardian books series, as well as, the Noru books series but really it's a repeat of the Guardian book series. Please let book six be worth waiting for, I'm a bit disappointed.
This is a great way to read the day away. I really enjoyed the characters, the plot and the fact that a young readers could read it and skip just a chapter or two.
