I just couldn't get into this story for the life of me! I knew going into it that this was going to be dark, twisted love story and I was all on board for it! I wanted it and was ready and then I started the story and was wondering what the hell was going on. The characters are a mess, and so is the story! It was impossible to continue reading past the first book in the series.

Monica ran away from the Dom who mistreated her and never thought she would find another relationship until Henry. Fast-paced read with lots of emotion, drama and intense chemistry. I was hooked from beginning to end. I loved it.

Pursed--The story starts out with us getting to know who Monica & Henry.are. We find out their stories and what shaped them into who they are today. We find out that Monica had a bad experience with a Bd dom and since then hasnt had a relationship. Here come Henry into her life,offering her an escape from the pain. What a great start to the series. My Rating: 4.5 stars ****

Caught ----This is the second book in this series --Monica has fallen for Henry but there are some secrets that Henry is hiding from Monica. Monica has fallen hard for him , letting go of her fears for once and is ready to let go and trust in her feelings for this man without knowing anything because of the feelings he brings inside of her. By the end of the book, when Henry confesses he is a fraud, what will happen between him and Monica? And guess who is back in the picture? This ends on a doozy of a cliffhanger? My rating: 5.0 stars *****

Healed --This is the finale in the three part series and in Healed, Monica is finding out a lot about Henry that is causing her some concern. In the opening of the book we go directly into the continuation of the shock Monica gets from book 2 which Monica sees her ex-boyfriend/Dom Jackson show up and Monica is devastated to learn Henry had been keeping a secret from her- which was he knew him and knew her from long ago. From all that now comes the hard part- does she stick her head in the sand or go forward and not let Jackson keep her down. Facing hard truths with Henry, Monica and Henry make a plan to one up Jackson and what way to do it would be at the Submissive Auction. Henry is able to finally show Monica how much he loves her and is able to convey this as well as Monica is able to get her payback at her ex-dom as well as prove to Henry she does love him during this auction. This book is fantastic and the final book has all the action as well as romance with some really erotic scenes to wheat the appetite. Both MC have come a long way since book 1 and I am sad this is the end of their journey. I highly recommend this story and I cant wait to read what this author has next.

After Monica is rescued from her abusive Dom by Ethan, she is not interested in anything other than getting her Chateau up and running and keeping her girls happy and safe. Henry meets Monica through one of the Patrons of her Chateau and he is very persistent in what he wants and luckily gets it after several attempts. Although Monica doesn't trust anyone she warms up to Henry after meeting him a few times. They have great chemistry and Monica needs a Dom that is going to put her on a pedestal and worship her after all of the abuse she has suffered. This was a great trilogy.

This book was incredibly well developed and we'll thought but it still was hard to get into it for more than a few chapters. The damage the characters had and the way it played in how they lived their lives was pretty good and I thought the author did a good job at thinking how a real person would react if they were to live in those situations and gave us a character that supported that person and did the right thing instead of the realistic one, yet it was still hard to read. The style was pretty good, the plot was great, but the book missed the hook to keep you coming back from more and losing hours of sleep to finish it. I didn't disliked it but I still didn't have the feeling of doom or anxiety I get when I need to finish the book to know how it ends and be happy that the characters got to a good place. Here it was more like following the daily life of someone slightly interesting but with a story developed incredibly slow and with no shocking reveal or interesting facts. A good romance just a slightly boring one.

Monica suffered at the hands of her previous Dom and now she can't trust anyone enough to give her what she needs, not even herself. After barely getting out of the relationship she has been able to reconstruct her life and be successful but she still longs for the connection she used to have. She knows she might never be able to give herself fully to another Dom but she yearns to give up control and please someone. When Henry comes to her work, all the reasons why she should stay away and keep living the safe way slowly slip into oblivion. But is he the one to show her that not all doms take advantage of their subs and not all men are monsters? Can she open herself up enough to accept him? Is he worth the risk?

Henry slays Monica's dragon and wins her heart!

Monica had been Jackson for many years. In the beginning, she fell in love with him for his caring and passionate protection but over time he changed and the caring took second place to his wants and desires. His punishments no longer pleasurable, and instead had become torture sessions until she had enough and left him. It took time for Monica to heal from the psychological scars Jackson had caused. She had severe trust issues that made it hard for her to trust any man. When Henry came into her life, she was friendly but nothing more. Henry had been attracted to Monica from their first meeting many years ago. it was only a chance meeting that Monica never even remembered, but Henry remembered and wanted to gain first her trust, and then her love. This book captured my attention from the beginning. Monica's painful breakup had left her unwilling to allow any man close to her, no matter how attractive she found the man. Henry was a man determined to win and Monica, tired of fighting her attraction finally gave in. Their romance was was not without its dramas, but together they persevered to "Slay her dragons!" and find happiness with each other. I found this book an enjoyable read that was both compelling and memorable, with an ending that was happy and joyful.

When I started to read this book I realised that I had read it some years ago but I was glad I was able to read it again. Although the books starts off with a bang it does slow down somewhat but I do encourage you to stay with it as the beginning really sets the scene. A very involved romance with a really good storyline. The author really lets you feel thw things Monica is feeling being frustated and really needing to be a sub to someone worthwhile. She had been the sub of Jackson for some 10 years but he had turned abusive and she had to leave after pulling a gun on him to escape. Henry was her saviour. He was patient and was a very good Dom who cared for her but didn't own her. This was different to what she had with Jackson. Two super characters whose interaction with one another was emotional. Secrets come to light concerning Jackson and Henry which makes for a twist to the ending of this very enjoyable story.

Although this book is about a bdsm relationship the core of the story is really about healing after a bad relationship with a man who calls himself a Dom but is just an abusive ahole using that as an excuse to abuse the woman he supposedly loves. Monica has gotten away from him physically but mentally he continues to take up too much space in her head. Henry comes into her life and with a lot of ups and downs they help each other and develop a relationship together.
I have read some of the other books that Cynthia Dane has written and I especially enjoyed the Dom vs Domme books. This book is a bit heavier due to its subject matter but it was a terrific read. I became totally immersed in the story of these two characters and the people around them. I particularly enjoyed the ending as it is a really unique way of finding closure. If you like reading bdsm romance then I recommend this book.

Oh, the heat is HOT, and the physical chemistry is captivating so be careful you may just get burned all the heat coming off these pages. There were some "oh no" "oh wow" " what the what" moments and add in uncanny mishaps, and shenanigans the good kind that makes you keep turning the pages till last page has been turned. Monica is a sub by nature but after being in an abusive relationship with a Dom and finally getting away she isn’t interested in getting involved with another Dom although, she is missing a part of herself. She meets Henry who is a true Dom and wants to restore her belief in their life style of D/S and with persistence she slowly starts to trust but will she finally let go and trust again in another to what she needs and can they find their comfortable place?

Our heroine is extremely gun-shy after a bad relationship, but that also leaves her wanting. Enter our hero who just might be able to get her to open up.

This is an erotic romance with strong elements of BDSM. I found the story to be well written and easy to read, with well developed characters and an understandable plot. The story did have several ups and downs, with a bit more angst than I usually look for, but it also had really good parts as well as plenty of steam. It helped a lot that I like both the heroine and hero and together they made the story something highly enjoyable. Overall, a good story and I look forward to more from this author.

This book took me a lot longer than usual to read. It was good and I feel I definitely learned a lot about BDSM but it wasn’t a favorite. Monica had been a sub to a guy named Jackson for 10 years until something bad happens and her friend helps her escape. She wants to start over so she starts up a chateau and is doing great on her own she has a lot of healing to do but then Henry Warren walks through the door and everything changes. Is Warren the guy to help her heal? Read this good book and find out what happens between the two!

I'm a huge fan of Cynthia Dane and she has given us another great read. Monica is a strong character. She was in an abusive relationship with her previous Dom and after getting out of it, she doesn't see herself getting into another. But not being in a D/s relationship, leaves a hole in her life. When she meets Henry, a compassionate and determined Dom, the chemistry is intense, but she is afraid. I love the push and pull of the chemistry, the build is slow, but the book is well paced. Solid 4 star read for me.

After a terrible ending to a 10 year relationship, Monica is a sub who runs her own Chateaux that caters to the rich and powerful. Monica meets Henry who woos her but she is unsure whether she can trust again. I did enjoy the book but I also found it hard to connect to the characters. Monica, although I could understand her pain and frustration, seemed cold and Henry (although sexy) sets to prove he's the right man for her but to me, I guess he didn't captivate me as much as I wanted him to. Enjoyable

Loved the book it was great, the story was written well and the characters were interesting. Monica was setting herself up to escape her abusive Dom. She has always wanted to but her own business so she bought a Chateau, now running and keeping her girls happy and safe. Monica meets and greats the Patrons of her Chateau and she met Henry. He is very persistent wanting Monica and Monica doesn't trust anyone. Monica needs a Dom that is going to put her on a pedestal and make her his Queen.

I found this to be an interesting tale with lots of steam, love, trust, and growth. Monique was so independent and caring despite her past pain. It took her a bit to trust Henry, but she had been willing to give it a go. Henry was a sweetheart, very protective of Monique, and knew how to give her what she needed and wanted. There were a couple moments when I had tears as their love strengthened. Lauren Sweet did a wonderful job with the narration and helped me visualize the story.

Monica was with Jackson for ten years but he turned violent. Then he brought another woman into the house. They were helped to escape by Ethan. Then he helped set Monica up in business and through this she met Henry. Henry had a grudge against Jackson and Monica helped device a plan to help all of them. This is a good story I could not put down I have now downloaded the next book in the stories

Monica has trust issues since she was abused by her dom. She is rescued and sets up a business that caters to elites but she keeps her girls happy and safe. Henry comes into her life and tries to be her dom but again the whole trust thing. This is filled with twists and dark themes. I totally enjoyed it and it kept me wanting to know more. The characters were good and I really enjoyed the book. Great story.

Monica certainly isn’t planning on being another relationship after escaping from her abusive Dom, and never really considered getting herself a new one. I’m proud of the way that she built herself back up, but I could easily see how something was missing. When she met Ethan, their chemistry was undeniable, but over the course of the three books, you can how, despite her hesitance to get back into a BDSM relation, Ethan begins to win her heart—and her submission.

This trilogy was exceptional! This is the first book I've read by author Cynthia Dane but I will be reading more in the future. This is a BDSM story. Henry Warren and Monica Graham were great characters. For ten years, Monica was in a Dom/Sub relationship that caused her long term physical and mental abuse. She vows that she will never give herself to another man. Then she meets Henry. Will Monica ever be able to trust a man as a Dom again? This is a must read and I highly recommend!
