Katha is a book written by a journalist. Who’s the first encounter with storytelling was when she won an essay competition. The author proves the importance of storytelling by giving several anecdotes of her life and that of successful business persons. Author stresses on the importance of using metaphor, proverbs and using words which paint a picture in our mind. The author encourages us to read stories, listen to commencement speeches, TED talks, etc, and pay attention to the careful structure of the story, uses of metaphor, and proverbs. The author also likes to picture the corporate world in terms of a movie, having character, plot, twist, etc. Overall a quick guide to learn the art of storytelling, it is an easy read.

We all have a story to tell but we are way to inspired by all the other stories floating around on the social networking sites. I guess that's why we don't give our story the deserved credit.
This book bought back so many of my childhood memories and has taught me how I can use these stories in my everyday setting. This book is too easy to read and can get boring sometimes. But I will recommend this book to everyone who wants to make a start at using story telling and bringing authenticity to their speech/presentation.

This is one of the not so interesting books I read so far. The book is way too random and the author struggles to drive the point home.

The only advantage is that the book is pretty light. So not a too much time waste for the reader.

I really liked the book. The importance of the book in story telling does makes a lot of difference. Story telling is an important form and how one can make himself stand out by picking appropriate stories to tell in various settings forms the crux of the stories.

Just average, you can read something better than this routinely written book.

This book seems to be an extension of what ideally should have been an article or a lecture.
Reading through it was easy but the content is repetitive and thoughts are overlapping.
