Essential reading

Laura Berrey’s book should be considered essential reading for anyone homeschooling or considering homeschooling.

It is clear that Laura is speaking from experience and she provides a lot of very practical advice as an educator and a mother.

The book has a step by step guide to getting organised, and is also packed with tips and tricks for organising your home and life. To top it off there are free printables and additional materials available.

This is truly an excellent resource for anyone considering home education.

Yay for this book!

Finally, homeschooling looks less daunting! I was always stressed when I tried "summer schooling" my children. I burnt out fast and I have been scared to teach my children even though I am a teacher by profession. This book helped me to realize that teaching in my homeschool does not have to be as structured as formal school and That I just need to create a picture on my mind of what my goal is and what 'tidy and organized" look like. I am very happy about the streamlined fundamentals and organisational tips for setting up and maintaining my no homeschool. Thanks, Berrey!

Extremely practical advice from an experienced and intentional homeschool mom. I appreciated the humor, candor, and life wisdom Laura shares with her readers. Chapters give a good breakdown of each area to tackle, including principles guiding the decisions and daily action steps. I have a feeling I'll be referencing or re-reading this book annually.
