Hello, I'm Nevaeh. I'm only here at the Halfway House because Archangel Michael got his wings in a twist, said I had a bad attitude and threw me out of heaven. A bad attitude? Me? How rude! Now I have to save seven souls from imminent death as a direct result of the seven deadly sins, to gain my position back in heaven. Far out! Archangel Michael must have been really pissed to initiatesuch a difficult challenge. While saving an abandoned bear cub, I encounter a huge and 'rattle your bones' sexy werebear, named Macht Claw. Now I’m not so sure I want to go back. With Archangel Uriel in my corner and Archangel Malik not, a great battle of good vs. evil is bound to erupt. Not only is my soul in jeopardy, but also the seven souls I’m supposed to save.
Dzintra is an Australian author, living in Queensland, Australia, where the weather is always warm and sunny. She writes a perfect blend of drama, comedy and romance all mixed up in a paranormal/fantasy mash up. Her characters are addictive and her books fresh and new. Her favourite thing to do is to take beliefs aand characters you think you know and turn them upside down. Take a chance, you won't regret it.
This talented Author just gets better! Nevaeh third book in the Half Way House series showcases two characters stories which I love as it has given this book lots of depth. It focuses on family in two very different ways and reinforces the unwavering unconditional love and support that is the Half Way House 'family'. This story is sure to have every reader in tears but is also littered with some great puns and one liners. Rumor is back again and I love getting to know a little more about her with each book, I'm ever hopeful that she will have her own book one day! We get to meet Abbigail who seems to have a very interesting story of her own and I look forward hearing more from her in the future too! Macht is every girls dream but comes with his own demons to battle, which really gave us lots to sink our teeth into as Nevaeh's own story is complicated as well! All I can say is that I loved it and I can't wait for more!
The halfway house series keeps getting better and better, this book is certainly my favourite so far.
An Angel who has a problem with authority and a Bear shifter meant to lead his clan make for an interesting pairing.
This book had several unexpected surprises that kept me wanting more, throw in some witty one liners and the battle between heaven and hell for one Angels soul, not to mention this authors stroke of genius giving us two equally strong lead characters and what she succeeds in doing is to deliver us a book that is both funny and intense and will have you glued to your seat till the very last page.
Omg omg omg!!! I'm loving the halfway house series. Dzintra Sullivan has an amazing ability to create a fantastic world full of wonderful, loveable characters that you can't help but fall in love with. Nevaeh book three in this series and can I say just gets better with each instalment.. The author writes with such amazing details that you can feel the emotions while reading.. Yes we have those OMG moments but it's also the humour along with the love and support of family that really brings it all together. Well done Ms Sullivan on a beautifully woven story that has touched my heart and left me wanting more.. Looking forward to the next book in the Awesome Halfway House Series.
This book was so amazing. It actually made me cry at one point and had me laughing at many others. Once I started I could not put this book down and read it all in one sitting. Dzintra Sullivan is a very talented writer and I recommend her books highly.
Blurb:~ Hello, I'm Nevaeh.
My Thoughts:~ So, Nevaeh is the third book in the Half Way House Series.. And my fave by far! I absolutely love her attitude, and for her to be an angel is just the icing on the cake..
Many laugh out loud moments accompanied by tears of sadness... True love must overcome all.. death included.
Nevaeh has certainly earned her spot in the #HWH!
5+ Star read, I would highly recommend this read to all my friends. You don't want to miss Nevaeh's Sass.. Oh and cute fluffy bear cubs!
Ohhh my, what a fantastic read that was! Nevaeh totally rocked my socks. I am so in love with this series and it's Character's, I seriously can't get enough. I really enjoyed reading Nevaeh's Story It was my favourite so far. As the series progresses each book has got better and better. Literally from the first few sentences I was chuckling away to myself, I found myself laughing ALOT reading this, the humour throughout the book is great, lots of giggles in this great storyline. I'm really starting to like Rumour and I hope she gets a story, I would love to find out more about her. I highly recommend this book and the whole series to anyone who likes a entertaining paranormal read or fans of steamy YA novels. This book is filled with laughter, love, and action. I'm so looking forward to book 4 and I will be snapping it up as soon as it's available. I rate this a easy 5 stars *****
A Wonderfully deep representation of the fact that family has nothing to do with unconditional love. I love the relationships shared by Eloise and her house of paranormal teens, and Dzintra does a masterful job at allowing the reader to share their emotional bound.I must say Rumor is my favourite I love her tough love attitude and the fact although she loves unconditionally, she must retain her badass appearance even though she would die for anyone who calls the Halfway House home. These novels continue to get better with each installment and I cant wait for the next one. ☆☆☆☆☆ and I would give more if I could Simply Superb and highly recommended
I'm so in love with the Halfway House Series. First Arkadia reeled me in and had me hooked, then Raven fed my addiction for this wonderful world Dzintra Sullivan created. Then along comes Nevaeh.....WoW!! This book was amazing and I could not put it down. Nevaeh is such a wonderful mix of sassy and sweet, then pair her with a sexy Werebear and it's a match made in heaven. Dzintra Sullivan's books have everything I love reading about like Love, Friendships, Family. This series is fantastic and has the ability to make me laugh out loud and also cry. Nevaeh is my favourite book in this series so far and I can't wait for the next one to be released so it can become my favourite.
Nevaeh is the 3rd book in this series and she doesn't let you down. The angel who has lost her way, has been given tasks to complete, but one of those was NOT falling in love. As usually the others in the Halfway House, Arkadia, Raven, the wolf twins, the boys, and of course Eloise the house mother are there to help guide her. But complications are in her path. Dzintra Sullivan has produced another fantastic read that really is very enjoyable. The characters are extremely entertaining, especially in their choice of vocabulary and insults, they had me laughing every time. I must highly.recommend this book cause it would be a travesty if you didn't read it.
Well Dzintra Sullivan has done it again. Nevaeh, the story of a fallen angel that falls in love with Macht, a werebear. In the beginning all Nevaeh wants is fulfill her requirements so she can get back to Heaven, but life has way of throwing curveballs. This book sucked me in from the start with Angels and ghosts and bears and demons and all the other paranormals that live at the Halfway House. It's full of funny remarks, loving moments and shows that family doesn't have to be blood. I'm very thankful to have received a copy of Nevaeh before its release.
I have been lucky enough to read this early and I must say that I absolutely love love love it.... Dzintra has done it again with another wonderful addition to the Halfway House Series.... Nevaeh has you not wanting to put it down to see what she gets into next. I love her sassy attitude to the world but watching her grow and learn that "Family" is different for everyone is fantastic.... Can't wait for the rest of this series I am totally hooked
Dzintra does it again. I thought I love Raven the most, but I was sadly mistaken. I love Neveah more. I really don't know why I keep thinking one is my favorite then Dzintra tops herself. I can't wait for more of her works, because I'm sure I would love them more or the same.
Nevaeh is a fantastic character. This book is well written. The book is also teaching me or US a lesson in what family is. I am glad Nevaeh met Macht. I think Macht will love and protect her until the end of time. Give this book a try. I hope you enjoy it as much as I did.
Received this as an early copy.. Loved it, couldnt put it down, had to continue to see what happened. Dzintra has done it again.. Best so far.. Cant wait for the next book in the series..
Best book so far in this remarkable series by a remarkable author, I cannot get enough of these books
Nevaeh, the third book in The Halfway House series by Dzintra Sullivan, is the best so far in this remarkable series.
The Halfway House is a place where a "family" life is set up for wayward paranormals to live and get things right in an environment where love and friendships are forged. Eloise, the Housemother, is just gorgeous and as she fights for and protects the paranormals in her charge. She takes them under her wing and loves them fiercely.
In this book, we focus on Nevaeh, a fallen angel. Neveah, who is grounded on earth, wants more than anything to fulfill her heavenly requirements and get back to heaven where she belongs. The gorgeous Macht Claw, a werebear, runs into Nevaeh and of course, there is chemistry even though Nevaeh, being her sassy self, tries to deny it.
The story incorporates Rumor, who we have seen a little of in the previous two books, but we gain a better understanding of her in this book. I love her character and look forward to reading more about her as the stories unfold.
This book had me on page one and didn't let go till the final page was turned. Even then I wanted more, but alas I will have to wait for the next in the series. Personally I cannot wait. I give this a well deserved five stars, a perfect story, loved it.
I was lucky enough to get a free copy for an honest review. First of all I love paranormal books and I am a hopeless romantic. This book ticks all the boxes for me even without the steamy scenes. I loved this book and I think if you read it again you can find different things you missed the first time round. It really tugs at your heart and you want them to succeed and of course it shows you the important part a family plays and it doesn’t matter if you were born into it or just adopted into it. Glad to see that you still get glimpses of the prev two books and a taste for the next. I can’t wait for more. I would give it more than 5 stars if I could.
I received an ARC for an honest review. Book three in the 'Halfway House' series & I honestly think it was the best so far!! The author is kind enough to include the characters of the first two novels so we don't miss them so much, even though they aren't the main focus. In book three-we get the story of Nevaeh-a broken angel, sent to earth to fulfill a punishment; and Macht-a forest ranger & bear shifter living outside his clan. These two are an unlikely pair, but somehow help each other to realize what they both need to prevail in this world. The feels in this book will leave you spinning-and sad when it ends. I can't wait for the next installment of the series!!
Nevaeh finds her mate and fights demons to keep him. Dzintra Sullivan never fails in writing the best and most exciting novels. You never know what to expect. Just plan on being up late so you can finish the book. In this one you get excitement, drama, paranormal, and some love.
I actually intended to read each book separately and review each one as i went. That so didn't happen! As soon as i finished Arkadia i started Raven and so on. Dzintra has written a whole world that is fully fleshed out and deep and as you read through this series you feel like you are part of the family experiencing all other their triumphs and and down falls, their love and their loss the Halfway House series is so indepth and flows so smoothly that you can actually see everything and hear everything in your mind as it happens ...Personally i think this series would make a great movie series and even tv series its that good!.Dzintra Sullivan as stunning word smithing skills and has created a world so whole and indepth that i really want this world to exist ( and i want to live there ---- OK maybe not their neighbour though cos i think having a wolf cub pooping on my property may be a tad smelly lol)
Arkadia: A messed up, self absorbed, spell challenged little witch who needs to pass her Paranormal Safety Exams (PSEs) or be banished..Can she get over or get passed what is holding her back to rise above it all and become the young woman/witch she needs to be or will she fail?......A riveting read that pulls you in from the first and wont let you go with twists and turns and danger and one hell of a hot hot dragon shifter a must read!
Raven: A vampire cant be scared of blood can they?..yep they sure can be ask Raven a beautiful soul who also needs to pass her PSEs. But finds out that lies come back and bite you on the bum and can throw your life into even more of a mess than it is already. Enter the hot hot Samuel can he help Raven get over her aversion to blood can he help her sort through the mess that is her life and accept it? ...an exciting read a must have series!
Nevaeh: What to say about her?....Man she is a hard one to love , mind you so would you be if you haven't experienced love before ..Can Nevaeh face her challenges pass her quest will she choose love or duty? Loved Her story so much! Loved to see the growth in this beautiful lippy outspoken little angel with a heart so big!!
Ashja: Well well well what to say about Ashja?..Personally i wanted to smack him upside the head a few times he is arrogant, he is cocky he is adorable, he is caring, he is a force to be reckoned with who needs to learn the lessons he doesn't think he needs to learn, But will he?
I do feel that special mention needs to be made of Eloise and Rumor These ladies hold the Halfway house together one with pure love the other with her tough as nails outlook without these two i do not think the halfway house series would be complete. personally i would've loved a mother who was the exact mix of these to wonderful strong powerful caring women.
The third book of the Halfway House does not disappoint! This story is about Nevaeh, the wicked angel that was kicked out of the Heavens, and grounded to earth to learn some hard life lessons. If she did not learn or grow she was destined to go to Hell!
Nevaeh is a nasty little wench to everyone in the Halfway House! She has a foul mouth, and crappy outlook on life, but we soon discover why. Nevaeh's story was not your typical heart-breaking, tragic past, kind of deal. However, her journey to learning how to open her heart to people that care about her, and a werebear that wants to love her as a woman was incredible! There were moments when I was teary eyed from the empathy and love Nevaeh showed to perfect strangers. I never thought in a million years I would have connected with Nevaeh's character since she was hardly mentioned, around, or invested in a relationship with the girls or Eloise, but the author did a fangtastic job pulling me in, and loving her!
The new characters that were introduced were great! I thought Macht Claw, the werebear love interest was not only adorable but sexy as hell! Her arch nemesis Kitchi, the skank that kept rubbing her stank on Macht, was the perfect frenemy for Nevaeh, and gave me someone to loath! The original gang make many appearances throughout the book, and even get involved with Nevaeh's bear troubles. Rumor comes in to play with another big roll because of her expertise with Hell, and the fact that Nevaeh has grabbed the council's attention. Rumor is the council's bitch after all! Although Rumor doesn't wear her emotions on her sleeve, they are there and she is ready to kick anyone's ass for the people she cares about!
My favorite moments in the book: I had many, but the two that are most memorable for me, and this will give you some insight, haha are: 1) New ways to say fuck you! Queen Fucklivia, Fucksville, and my personal fav Fucktopia! 2) Sweet Jesus this made my panties melt after Macht and Nevaeh kiss for the first time and Macht says, "God?" "I just fell in love with one of your angels." "Can I keep her?" "Please?" I truly love the hell out of the Halfway House series, and would highly recommend it to my peeps! All three books have the PNR element, danger, corruption, death, and kick ass heroines! So ONE CLICK this book now!
Another good read by Dzintra Sullivan in her Halfway House Series. This time we meet Nevaeh an angel with attitude and her new friend of the shifter king. Once again Dzintra takes us through the loves, losses and angst of young love mixed with a little paranormal thrown in.
This story has implied sexual overtures but no actual graphic sex scenes, therefore would recommend it for older teenagers and up and since I am in my mid 50's and still enjoyed it say something about the writing.
The Story
With book 5 coming out at the start of August, I thought I'd better get read the series up to date. I definitely NEEDED to know more about Nevaeh after the way Raven finished, what makes Nevaeh tick?? What are the tasks Nevaeh has to complete?? I jumped in & found out.... Nevaeh was such a complex character, her past & her abilities made for an intense & interesting read. Unlike the previous leading ladies Nevaeh doesn't have to do her PSE's, her test is more in the 'Evil vs Good' zone. Having previously read the wonders Nevaeh can do with her heavenly powers, getting a front seat POV took the book to another level. Let's not forget the ghostly apparition that seems to follow Nevaeh around throughout the book, being the only person who is able to see, hear & talk to the ghost...
Freaking intense!! 'Nevaeh' is book 3 of Dzintra's "Halfway House" series, I freaking LOVED Nevaeh's story & can NOT wait to read book 4.
Nevaeh is the 3rd book in Author Dzintra Sullivan's Halfway House Series. I enjoyed reading this book so much.
In the first two books you do get to learn just a little bit about Nevaeh but now we're finally get to hear her story. And what a wonderful story it is! The story starts with Nevaeh waking up confused about where she is. She finds a bear which leads her to meeting Game Warden Macht Claw. Oh this man is just delish; I want him for myself! Watching Nevaeh grow as an angel was wonderful. Her relationship with Eloise improved and her acceptance of family was a wonderful part of this book. Nevaeh has her own battle to fight in book 3 which will keep you turning the pages to find out what happens next.
Author Dzintra Sullivan brings back the main characters from her first two books along with her secondary characters. I loved reading them in the story to know they are apart of a whole. I enjoyed this story so much and can't wait for the next!!!
OMG! This author just gets better and better with every book she writes!
I honestly am blown away by this incredible book on this sensational series! In each book life lessons are taught throughout the stories and so cleverly executed!
Nevaeh is an angel sent to Earth with a challenge so she gets her adult wings. Being in the Halfway House is s challenge and of itself for her. Eloise, the house 'mother', is perfect to help her....along with Rumor the paranormal assassin! How cool is that idea? Macht Claw is a werebear who just happens to enjoy meeting Nevaeh.
The adventures are varied and all amazing! At times I felt myself holding my breath in anticipation or fear! At other times I chuckled out loud, the humour embedded in the writing sets this author apart from others and for me she is at the top of the author totem pole!
I can't begin to express into the words the way I feel about this author and her writing. With each book in the halfway house we watch her grow and get better each time. Dzintra spins a tale that gets you hooked from the very first page. I have been lucky enough to get to read this early.... and OMG please oh please hurry with more. I love the characters that she spins, I love the antics and the drama. While I will always be a Bohdan fan, I find myself swooning over Macht. Nevaeh has an attitude a mile long and you have to love the girl for that.... Dzintra writes a well written story of love and acceptance that leaves you feeling happy and content. And wanting to beg the author for more. Never give up Dzintra Sullivan, you are fantastic and have a stalker for life with me...
Nevaeh is an angel with an attitude, who has been sent HWH as a punishment. To return to heaven she must collect seven souls. Which isn't as easy as she thought...
While saving a bear cub, she meets a sexy were bear, Macht Claw. Who has her head in a total spin. She doesn't know if she wants to go back to heaven anymore...
Nothing goes plain sailing though, as dark forces are working against Nevaeh and her soul maybe in jeopardy..
I loved every minute of this book. I laughed, I cried and got totally lost in the world Dzintra Sullivan has created. Can't wait to read more of her books..
With every book, Dzintra Sullivan just keeps making this series more and more outstanding. Nevaeh has become by far my favorite book and character. This book is written with so much emotion. There is a tenderness within the writing that is so raw that you immediately are drawn into the books core and mesmerized by the theme of love and acceptance. I highly recommend this series to all. This book just continues to display Dzintra's ability to develop characters that are complicated and unique and easy to fall in love with
Nevaeh is a fallen angel sent to earth with a challenge to complete so she can renter heaven. Nevaeh doesn't know what truly makes a family and what it is to love and be loved. It is a journey that will help her grow. Macht is a bear shifter who will take over the clan when his father dies. Macht wants to be leader, but there are a few clan rules he could do without. One being he only wants one wife. Can they show each other they have the strength to do what needs to be done, and fight for what they want most?
I LOVE the Halfway House Series!!! Arkadia was a surprise for me and I was so happy to find it, Raven was the perfect addition and now Nevaeh, each better than the last!!!! This book was perfect with sass and humor, I could not put it down! Read it all in one sitting. Nevaeh is a angel with a chip on her shoulders instead of wings, she learns the value of the love and support of family, something she resists! I cannot wait to see what more the Halfway House brings!!!
