New Orleans has Mardi Gras; Salem has Halloween— a month- long party downtown with every sexy version of a normal costume possible. Last year we saw nine women dressed as the sexy version of the Supreme Court, including Ruth Bader Ginsberg in hot pants.

He’s an amazing kisser. Kissing should be his sport, but only one on one, not a team sport. I want to be the only girl he kisses. As an only child, I never learned to share my toys. Same applies for boys.

My Review:

I was swiftly Bewitched by this quick and lively read. The writing was engaging, easy to follow, and laced with cleverly amusing wit and comedic observations and inner musings. I adored Ms. Prescott’s quirky and awkward characters and am enjoying her original and entertaining storylines. I fear I am hopelessly addicted to the tale as I’m rushing to get back to my beloved Kindle to continue the series. Luckily I have all the installments loaded to ensure a seamless binge read. This book was Triple-A, Adorable, Addictive, and Amusing.

A Crush. A Love Spell. What Can Go Wrong?

I absolutely loved and adored this frickin' cute book! Wait hold up! Did I just say a book is frickin' cute?! The whole time I was reading, I was grinning and giggling like a school girl! Maybe, this book put a spell on me! Lol.

This book totally remind me of my favorite 80's movie, "Teen Witch!" So, Madison Bradbury, is just a sweet and simple junior college student, descends from the original Salem witches. And she’s definitely not a believer in the whole witches, spells or magic, or anything hocus-pocus. Has a crush Andrew Wildes, the sweet, handsome, mysterious, loner. I just loved Andrew. *Sigh* Well done Daisy Prescott!

I've been wanting to read a Daisy Prescott book for a long time now and own a few of them but when I came across Bewitched a few days ago I immediately one-clicked and started reading yesterday and I was done for.


This book is absolutely cute and I couldn't stop myself from smiling like an idiot throughout the whole book. Salem is a topic that has always held my interest and the whole magic aspect had got me so excited I just couldn't put this novella down for a minute and the moment I was done I HAD to one-click the next two books immediately! I absolutely loved Madison and Andrew, they've got me under their spell... Got the pun? Lol!

Pick this short series up if you are looking to read something in between full-length novels with enough cute magical moments.

Adoro i paranormal romance e quando vedo una nuova uscita di libri che riguardano le streghe mi ci devo subito immergere. Daisy Prescott mi aveva già intrigata con la sua scrittura nei romanzi rosa pubblicati alcuni mesi fa dalla stessa casa editrice e leggerla in un nuovo genere mi ha fatto innamorata ancora di più della sua bravura. Incantesimo d’amore raccoglie quattro racconti fantasy della serie Bewitched dedicata alla storia d’amore tra Madison e Andrew e ai misteri e ai pericoli della magia di Salem. Madison è una protagonista davvero simpatica che non crede nella magia ma che presto conoscerà grazie ad Andrew, un ragazzo affascinante che ho adorato fin dalla sua prima apparizione. Ho un debole per i ragazzi intelligenti, per i nerd con gli occhiali e per i ragazzi romantici e dolci e tutto ciò ha contribuito a farmi amare ancora di più questa raccolta. Andrew è innamorato di Madison da qualche anno prima ma ha dovuto nascondere il suo amore perché non era arrivato ancora il momento giusto per rivelare il loro destino, previsto da sua madre, la strega più potente di Salem. Andrew e Madison ci regalano momenti di dolcezza e altri di batticuore, altri di pericolo e di pura magia. Ma cosa sappiamo la magia non è sempre benigna, ci sono persone che non approvano l’unione di Andrew e Madison - e la vogliono ostacolare a tutti i costi - e che non possono ben vedere la congrega delle streghe di Salem ed è qui che entra in ballo la magia nera, la più oscura magia esistente. I’m “Bewitched” by this College Romance!

Bewitched is a magical and romantic Halloween treat! There is so much charm, humor and wit (with a little paranormal flare) in this college romance, which captivated me from the beginning.

The short story is about Madison who is a descendent from the original “witches” of Salem, Massachusetts, and she has a crush on the mysterious Andrew in her college literature class. Madison’s friend Sam is into all things “witchy” and takes Madison to a special magic store and buys a love potion, which she wonders will really work. Lots of fun and shenanigans ensue which make for enjoying read.

In addition, Daisy writes locales with such vivid imagery. She gives a mysterious and eclectic feel to the town of Salem. And I love how her characters say, “wicked smart!”

Daisy is a go-to favorite author for mature characters and this short story proves she can write New Adult College Romance with attention to detail and witty dialogue. She weaves a sweet romance with an intriguing, mysterious plot that I adored. I connected to Madison and loved the mystery surrounding Andrew. The ending to this short story had me grinning from ear-to-ear. Readers get a full, standalone story in this short story. I’m amazed at how she was able to depict so much attention to detail in her characters in such a quick read. Daisy, can we have more Madison and Andrew, or perhaps Sam and Tate?

I’m always on the lookout for a good novella! During this time of year, real life is always driving me crazy, so finding a short(ish) and sweet treat to enjoy is a priority. When I heard that the darling Daisy Prescott was diving into New Adult with her new novella Bewitched, I knew I had to get my hands on it ASAP.

If you’re familiar with Daisy’s best-selling adult contemporary romance Modern Love Story series (Geoducks Are for Lovers), you know she’s a PRO at developing amazingly relatable characters: they’ll make you belly-laugh and swoon you right off your feet! 'Bewitched' absolutely accomplishes this too. This story is perfect, especially during this time of year...with Autumn descending and Halloween leading us into the upcoming holiday season, there’s magic in the air. 'Bewitched' embodies this spirit, and I was smiling from beginning to end!

Life in Salem comes with tons of history and lore. A homage to the days when witches were not considered ‘friendly’ by many. Madison is growing up in Salem, and finds herself learning about families that are rich with history that dates back to the ‘witch trial’ days.

Without any magic of her own, Madison can’t help but wonder if there are magical forces in her hometown. A thought that pushes her to seek out a love spell for one very important young man in her life. As with anything in Salem, Madison will quickly learn that all is not as it seems at first glance.

Bewitched is an exception novella that taps into a little magic just in time for the Halloween holiday. Filled with engaging characters, this book will pull you into the town that is filled with magic and history. Renewing your faith that magic just might exist after all!!

I first read Madison and Andrews story in a Anthology called Shiver 13 stories of Humor & Horror; wow time really flys for that was October 2014. So I was very excited when Daisy Prescott announced she was releasing Enchanted; Bewitched book #3. If you are looking for a sweet read this Halloween 🎃 don’t pass up Daisy Prescott Bewitched Series.

This is a great intro to a mini series. It sort of reminds me of A Discovery of Witches. I love the scenery depicted in here about Salem. I can't wait to see what happens with Madison and Andrew.

Citando il film d'animazione Hercules, "le persone fanno sempre cose pazze quando sono innamorate", e in effetti è vero. Per amore si arriva perfino a seguire un eccentrica amica fissata con la stregoneria in un negozio di articoli magici per poi trovarsi tra le mani un discutibile filtro d'amore. Madison è una ragazza con i piedi per terra che non crede assolutamente al paranormale ma... tentar non nuoce, giusto?

"L’amore capita sempre quando meno te lo aspetti e con l’ultimo ragazzo che immagineresti."

La storia si svolge a Salem, cittadina conosciuta per le streghe, quindi potete ben immaginare quanti grandi sostenitori della magia e quanti scettici si possano trovare nella sua università. Madison fa parte del gruppo degli scettici, che non crede nelle streghe e nell'occulto, mentre per la sua migliore amica Sam è l'esatto contrario, ama sperimentare incantesimi e l'affascinano le storie paranormali. La prima ha una cotta per il suo compagno di corso, Andrew, un ragazzo introverso che se ne sta sempre per le sue, e vorrebbe tanto fare colpo su di lui, ma in che modo? Nell'accompagnare Sam nel suo negozio di magia preferito, la proprietaria le fa dono di un incantesimo d'amore. Ovvio che la bella Madison non creda nell'efficacia di questi stratagemmi ma provare non costa nulla. Quello che lei non sa è che Andrew è già innamorato di lei e sono per giunta destinati a stare insieme. Lui è figlio di una strega e ovviamente crede nella magia e nelle predizioni. I due ragazzi sono anime gemelle e potrebbero avere un futuro roseo ma questa unione verrà ostacolata. Tra gelosie, misteri e passato, la vita dei quattro studenti universitari - Madison, Andrew, Sam e Tate - diventerà più avventurosa e dovranno affrontare vari pericoli.

E' stato interessante leggere di amici così diversi di carattere ma molto uniti. Madison è una ragazza pragmatica che non crede a quello che non può vedere o toccare mentre la vivace Sam è una fanatica convinta della magia e delle streghe. Andrew è una persona chiusa, che preferisce starsene per conto suo piuttosto che in mezzo alla gente mentre il suo amico Tate è l'esatto contrario. All'apparenza possono non aver niente in comune ma l'avventura che dovranno affrontare li unirà ancora di più rendendoli inseparabili.

"Quello di cui sono certo è che Madison Bradbury è mia. Nessuna maledizione, nessun vecchio rancore o cuore pieno d’odio spezzerà il nostro legame. Così è detto, così sarà."

Devo ammettere che non ho saputo apprezzare la Prescott come autrice di contemporary romance quando invece l'ho adorata in questo libro. Nel paranormal ha dato più prova di sè aggiungendoci anche una buona dose di mistero/thriller oltre che bellissime scene d'amore. Incantesimo d'amore ha saputo tenermi con il fiato sospeso. Una storia romantica con la giusta quantità di zucchero che parla anche di amicizia, magia, gelosia e vendetta. Un'amore contrastato che saprà trovare la giusta via per la felicità nonostante l'oscurità che incomberà su di loro.

“Incantesimo d’amore” è il titolo del nuovo romanzo di Daisy Prescott, che questa volta si è buttata su un genere diverso.
Maddison Bradbury si definisce una babbana, termine che sicuramente conoscete bene. Lei è una di quelle ragazze che, nonostante abiti a Salem, dove la magia sembra essere ovunque, non crede a questi fenomeni e di certo non crede di essere speciale, anche se tra le sue antenate vi era una strega.
Mad è una ragazza qualunque, con una migliore amica comune appassionata di stregoneria. E, come ogni ragazza comune, ha una cotta per un suo compagno di scuola: Andrew.
Andrew è un ragazzo raro: ha il fascino da hipster, ma un’anima nerd. È un ragazzo che non vuole apparire, che resta sempre nell’ombra, ma è impossibile non notarlo. È di una bellezza mozzafiato perché è un’anima antica, un ragazzo di altri tempi.
Lui ha una cotta per Mad da quando lei era una matricola, ma ha dovuto nasconderla perché non era ancora arrivato il loro momento.
Il loro amore, infatti, è destinato a nascere, è scritto da sempre e lo aveva previsto la madre di Andrew, la strega più potente di Salem.
Care lettrici, come si può intuire dal titolo questo nuovo romanzo della Prescott è un paranormal romance.
Streghe, fantasmi e incantesimi, regnano sovrani in questa storia ambientata nella città di Salem.
Andrew è uno stregone e Maddison è destinata a lui, ma il loro amore non è così semplice.
Qualcuno, con la magia nera, ha intenzione di ostacolare il loro amore e tutta la congrega di streghe di Salem.
Andrew e Maddison, insieme ai loro rispettivi migliori amici, Sam e Tate, avranno dunque il loro bel da fare, che viene raccontato in quattro episodi.
Il romanzo è narrato in quattro novelle, tre raccontate dal punto di vista di Maddison, mentre la seconda da quello di Andrew.
Ogni novella è un susseguirsi di scoperte e magie, che narrano la storia di come Maddison scopre il mondo magico e la magia dell’amore.
Nonostante abbia trovato innovativa la scelta delle novelle, allo stesso tempo non l’ho apprezzata molto perché rende la storia ripetitiva e velocizza troppo i tempi di narrazione, tanto da ritrovarci da Natale alla primavera semplicemente cambiando capitolo.
Però non mi abbatto care lettrici, perché questo è solo il primo volume di una storia che promette molto bene. È una storia molto dolce, delicata e per niente noiosa. Si legge davvero facilmente e cattura l’attenzione del lettore proprio grazie a queste caratteristiche.
Sono davvero curiosa di sapere come si evolverà la situazione e, soprattutto, di sapere come andranno le cose tra Mad e Andrew.
Il loro amore sembra essere scritto, ma sarà così facile?
Vi consiglio questa nuova avventura adolescenziale, un romanzo alla portata di tutti che consiglio assolutamente alle giovani lettrici che amano la magia, i romanzi spensierati ed ironici.
È la storia di un gruppo di amici, di una congrega che sta per iniziare una nuova avventura e, molto probabilmente, resterà un inizio ancora per un bel po’.
Nonostante spero che i seguiti escano presto, non ci sono ancora notizie certe sulle date di uscita, nemmeno in lingua originale. Dovremmo dunque aspettare, ma si sa, l’attesa aumenta il desidero.

So, to be honest I've never heard of Daisy Prescott before. I went to an Author event and bought a novella by her not knowing what to expect. All I knew is the title and the cover had me interested! Daisy Prescott even signed the book to me.

I loved this novella. It was a perfect read for the beginning of Fall. It had the love and the comedy and most of all the paranormal twist. I love reading books that make me laugh out loud. The love story is so cute. The entire time I kept wondering when something bad was gonna happen. The book didn't drag at all, though I was waiting for something to go wrong, it kept me entertained and interested. I also really loved Daisy's writing style so I will be looking forward to reading more from her. She has another one being released September 29, 2016, called Spellbound. The bewitched continues! I'm so so glad because the one downside of this was it was way too short!

I definitely recommend this adult Novella. And yes adult, there is some profanity. I give it 5/5 stars!

Daisy Prescott is a go to writer for me. I love her stories and writing style.

Always solid story lines, characterizations, and conclusions. This is an author that no matter how long or short the story, complete satisfaction is yours at the conclusion.

Bewitched is a sweet, charming, and fun story set in Salem, MA with the witches history through out the story.

Madison and Andrew were adorable and fun. Some surprises at the end, and a promise from the author that there will be more. Love that because this was a short story you did not want to end. There were enough tid bits to leave you wondering about these two.

As always, Daisy Prescott leaves you smiling and always wanting more.

I loved this little tale. It was magical and lovely! I am not generally a fan of the NA genre, but this author has such a gift with telling a charming story. I was charmed! I hope that Ms. Prescott will give us more of this couple in the future...a full-length novel. I would pick that up in a New York minute!

This was the perfect way to spend an evening with Halloween rapidly approaching. ;)

Gatti neri, streghe, incantesimi, pozioni magiche, tarocchi, fantasmi, maledizioni.
Ho passato gli anni delle superiori a leggere libri con la stregoneria come protagonista. Ho visto film e serie tv ambientati a Salem.
Amori & Incantesimi è uno dei film che preferisco, e come dimenticare i tanti pomeriggi in compagnia di Sabrina, vita da strega o con Piper, Prue e Phoebe Halliwell protagoniste in Streghe, o ancora il più recente maghetto Harry Potter che in casa mia è ormai ospite onorario.
La magia mi ha sempre affascinato e leggendo la trama di Incantesimo d’amore potevo lasciarmi sfuggire l’occasione di tornare nel mondo delle arti occulte? Ovvio che no!

Madison, Andrew, Tate e Sam studiamo al Hawthorne College, a Salem, e per un motivo o per l’altro sono legati al mondo della magia.
Madison è timida, nonostante il suo albero genealogico e studi a Salem, non crede nel potere della magia. Al terzo anno ancora nessun fidanzato all’orizzonte, se non consideriamo uscire un paio di volte con Luke Hamilton e la relativa ginocchiata che gli ha rifilato.
La sua compagna di stanza Sam invece ha sempre un mazzo di tarocchi pronti all’uso ed è convinta che a Mad serva una purificazione per trovare finalmente un ragazzo. *Da oggi riempio casa di salvia!
Andrew e Tate, anche loro studenti, sono i ragazzi per cui Madison e Sam hanno una cotta e di magia se ne intendono.
Siamo vicini ad Halloween, Mad sta per compiere ventuno anni e la magia entra nel suo mondo. Come?

Non vi racconto niente di più, per scoprire come proseguirà dovete per forza leggere questa raccolta di novelle intrise di magia dalla prima all’ultima pagina.
Consiglio questo testo ad un pubblico giovane, i temi trattati, la storia d’amore e le avventure descritte sono sicura piaceranno a questa fascia d’età perché Daisy Prescott ha saputo mixare le due componenti romance e paranormal. C’è si una storia d’amore con tutti i suoi annessi e connessi, dolcezza, liti, incomprensioni; mi è piaciuto molto l'approccio all'amore in questa storia. Il tema dell’amicizia è predominante, questi quattro ragazzi vivranno situazioni molto particolari che li uniranno a doppio filo.
E poi ovviamente la magia. Si nota la preparazione dell’autrice sull’argomento, niente è lasciato al caso e ambientarlo proprio a Salem in quel periodo dell’anno ha un che di scenografico, senza contare poi i salti temporali ad un passato dove essere considerata una strega significava morte certa. La stregoneria in questo romanzo è al 100% protagonista.

Proprio per questo leggere Incantesimo d’amore è un piacere, ti coinvolge e mette in condizione di volerne sapere sempre di più oltre il voler approfondire alcuni termini. Tutti i personaggi sono stati ben costruiti, hanno un ruolo e un tempo ben preciso, donano al testo brio e mistero all’occorrenza.
Vi consiglio la lettura ma vi avviso, arrivate alla fine ci sarà la sorpresa. Per questi quattro ragazzi, infatti, non finisce qui.

Un bel libro, una bella storia, semplice e lineare. La ragazza della porta accanto con il nerd della scuola, un corso di letteratura straniera, un incantesimo d’amore, un negozio di magia, la lettura delle carte e il gioco è fatto, anzi la pozione.

Mi sono divertita a leggere di pozioni, incantesimi, misfatti e indagini per trovare le origini della strega. Quattro amici, due coppie, reali e magia che si intrecciano per risolvere l’enigma, una maledizione, un libro nero.

Una bella sorpresa, un connubio esilarante tra Andrews e Madison, magici come i loro baci, come le loro emozioni che prenderanno il sopravvento. Ma quale mistero aleggia intorno al loro rapporto?

Una strana magia che vuole separarli, gatti stalker e visioni che mettono paura. Riuscirà la più antica magia del mondo, l’amore, a vincere?

So fun!!! Quick, bewitching read!

This is such a cute first story in a paranormal romance series of novellas. Set in Salem, it’s the perfect setting to get anyone into the Halloween spirit!

Madison, even living and attending school in Salem, MA, the home of magic, doesn’t believe in magic of any sort. However, she is soon convinced by a local witch to use a love spell on her crush. I loved her roommate and best friend Andrew, her brooding hero crush, walks into her life and turns it upside down and has her second guessing what she thought was a firm belief.

The entire setting, all of the characters, and the true magic of this novella was wonderful. I loved the secondary characters as well. Sam and Tate were such a great addition to the story without taking attention away from the main characters.

I was left wanting more of this magical romance! Thank goodness I can dive right into Spellbound.

Do yourself a favor and read these quick, bewitching reads! They’ll renew your faith that magic exists.

I would probably have enjoyed it more it if the whole story was in one book. Madison has ancestors in Salem that date back to the burning of witches but she doesn't believe in magic. She is also having a total dry spell in the man department. When her best friend drags her to a magic shop she allows herself to be talked into buying a love spell by the owner. She knows it won't work so where's the harm in invoking it, using the image of her classmate Andrew. It may have gone a little wrong when she lost the pendant in front of the wrong male, one of her exes. Andrew seems to like her anyway, so all may not be lost. Imagine her shock when she discovers Andrew has secrets, one of them being that the shop owner is his estranged mother who had a vision of Madison and Andrew together. Magic and secrets, what can go wrong?

Bewitched (Bewitched, #1) is a contemporary romantic comedy about a girl who doesn't believe in magic.

The only reason this didn't get 5 stars for me is because its a novella and it wasn't long enough. Now I realize that's not really fair since I knew it was a novella going in. But when I was so into it by the end, I was sad it was over. Fortunately, two more books have been written in the series since and I immediately bought them both.

I love the characters in this. They are all very distinct and fun. Parts of the story are hilarious and I love some comedy relief. I also happen to be Halloween's biggest fan. This book takes place in Salem, Mass and Halloween and deals with witches. Could it get much more fun? Probably not.

This was a fun little novella! It Introduces Madison and her crush on Andrew Wildes, who is all of sudden popping up everywhere. She doesn't believe in witchcraft, but starts having some odd experiences that she really can't explain.

The story continues in Spellbound where we get to read Andrew's POV...

Madison and Andrew. In Salem Massachussets Madison and her best friend Sam share a dorm room and act like normal University students. But this is Salem afterall, and things aren't always as they seem. For example, this guy Andrew. How is it she never noticed him before? Sam likes to think she is wiccan and drags Madison to a magic shop, where Madison, a firm non-believer walks away with a love spell... for Andrew. Its a quick read. Cute and more NA than I usually read. But the author really captures that feel of being a student and falling in love.
The next book starts where this one ends from Andrew's point of view.
