Remington Kane

Remington Kane is an American author that writes action-packed thrillers. The author might be unfamiliar to some people because Remington Kane is actually a pseudonym for Donald Wells.

Donald Wells has garnered a reputation for writing darker and somewhat serious novels about killers. The author was born in New Jersey. He never really left and has since made a home there. Like most of his peers, Donald Wells was an avid reader as a child.

He spent many an hour devouring every book he came across. And it wasn’t long before he began to yearn for the chance to write. Like many aspiring authors, Donald Wells knew he had the capacity to tell stories. However, he was a little hesitant to venture into such uncharted waters, not only because he didn’t know where to start with regards to writing a book but also because he didn’t have confidence in his own ability to produce compelling fiction.

Again, like most notable authors, Donald meandered about for a while. Rather than going into publishing the first chance he got, Donald tried his hand at various odd jobs. He worked as an insurance salesman, a Real Estate Sales person, and even a Retail manager.

The jobs, though seemingly meaningless in the grand scheme of things, did wonders for the author’s writing capabilities. Whether he was driving trucks or cleaning floors, Donald gained insight into the workings of the world.

He met unexpected people and heard their intriguing stories. He came across numerous strange encounters and even participated in some of them. He essentially dipped into so many unique aspects of life that it came as no surprise that he had more than enough stories rattling around his head when it finally came time to write his first novel.

Not that many authors can claim to have been offered a chance to act as bodyguard to a drug dealer. Since getting his first book sold, though, Donald has finally settled in his career. The author loves writing novels and there is nothing he else he would rather be doing. The fact that he has found a way to make money out of his passion makes him one of the luckier individuals in the world.

By the time Donald Wells began writing as Remington Kane, he had already become established as a novelist with numerous thrillers under his name. However, writing as Remington practically took over his life.

This is because Donald has achieved more success writing as Remington Kane than he did producing novels under his real name. Kane is best known for the Tanner series of novels. Tanner is a hit man who accepts a job to take out a mob boss.

When he is betrayed and thrown into prison, Tanner thinks of little else besides getting revenge. And once he finally gets his freedom, the hit man becomes a one man army, engaging in a brutal way against a crime organization known as the Conglomerate.

Each new book sees Tanner raising the stakes by finding a new target that will sting the Conglomerate in ways they couldn’t possibly fathom.

Remington Kane has been praised for the Tanner novels because Tanner is such a refreshing hero. The protagonist is so average physically, devoid of the exaggerated traits that most action heroes seem to bear. If not for his natural fighting and survival instincts, one would be hard pressed to tell Tanner apart from any other ordinary man on the street.

More Dangerous than Man
A Tanner Novel, Book 10
By: Remington Kane
Narrated by: Daniel Dorse
Tanner is still being tracked by the Mexican mob but it's not going well for the mob. The other cartel survivor that is looking for Tanner finally finds him and they are working together since they both have a price on their heads.
Not my normal kind of books but I am really enjoying the story and characters!
Not so happy about the narration.

Yeah It's A Winner

We have Tanner times two and two lady loves each comes.with a set of.skills and makes.for.A.really good story. The writer takes us on a journey that is loaded with killers after one.man and one.woman.. There are moments of comedic relief that eases in at times when you are least expected and you just bust a gut. There are also.times when the scenes between Tanner and Alexa that you fellas if this is a couple you've know awhile and like. Now by this time.you think that this character may have become tiresome, well that's not the case. The writer keep it fresh and keeps the action at an all time high. Also the characters are fresh and bring a different feel whenever they are introduced in a scene. This is once again excellent storytelling.

Tanner plans revenge

I like this because it brings a new side to Tanners story. Tanner finds himself being hunted by someone who he thought was dead long ago!! And finds a partner in Alexa.

I didn't think this series could get any more bad-ass than it was, but man was I wrong. Tanner has really stepped up his game in ways that I couldn't even imagine. I love the dynamic been Tanner and Alexa. They are so much alike. I can't wait to read more. Definitely recommended.

A filler story

This story felt more like a filler than a continuation, but it was still enjoyable. I am starting to like all the side characters more than Tanner. He seems so flat and emotionless all the time.

Hard to put down

Love the characters. Violence is a little over the top but important part of series. Quick reads and easy to follow the next segment.

More Dangerous Than Man ( a Tanner novel #10)

Tanner continues his fight against the Mexican cartel, but in his plan is to contact Spencer (Tanner 6) and use him to perfect his plan to get inside the fortress that awaits in Mexico. Unknown to Tanner, someone is looking for him, Alexa Lucia; who is also one of the victims of the same Mexican cartel leader. The bounty on Tanner is now $2,000,000.00, but there is a $100,000.00 bounty on Alexa as well. Now everyone they encounter might be looking to cash in. Things get hot and action swift before they meet up with Tanner 6 and his partner, Amy. This is one series you won't want to miss reading. Looking forward to the next one.

Juvenile

This novel is written using sentence construction and semantics consistent with fiction written for young adults. Critically, the author needs to tell everything about the characters rather than developing them, allowing the reader to learn about them from their behavior. The formulaic plot leaves little to a reader's imagination. This is not a series I will be investing time and money into.

Tanner book 10

Still the same general story of a professional killer and his wandering through life with a weird philosophy. Disappointed me with its tie-over ending but that was consistent with the way Kane hurried through this latest book. I hope he hasn't succumbed to the story a week style so prevalent today.
