Marica Davis had everything a girl could ever ask for. Not only does she have a thriving career as a financial analyst at A. Werts, she is a risk taker when it comes to fashion, and her make-up stays flawless. She is blessed to have two best friends, Carmen and Giselle. Will their friendship survive once the truth is revealed?
If you don't envy her for those reasons, you will once you see her with the one and only David Parker. Behind all the glitz and glam, no one knows the dark secrets that she is concealing. That is, until a severed head is delivered at her door step.
Marcia's secret past can no longer stay hidden. It is filled with violence, intrigue, and murder. Skeletons never stay buried. When her past finally catches up with her, will she lose the one who holds her heart?
Candace Werts has done it again! Her second novel is just as tempting as her first one. It is hard to put her second novel down! I loved reading about Marcia and David’s story. Marcia has everything that she could ever want, especially the one and only David Parker. Things are really good for her now until.. a person’s head is found at her door. Then everything goes downhill from there. Who does the head belong to? Who brought it to her door? And what secrets is Marcia hiding that may go from hidden to being opened up? What happens between her and David? Will her friendships survive with her two friends Carmen and Giselle? Or will their friendships be destroyed beyond repair? I highly would recommend those who love a romance story with drama, intrigue, and spice! I found this novel to highly entertaining and one that I would re-read all over again! Those who want more from this talented author need to look out for her third novel in this passion, suspense filled series! Made For You is a 5 out of 5 stars book! Definitely, a must read for everyone!
I love romances, but a lot of them lean toward boring and sappy. Not this one. Made For You: Marcia and David's Story mixes in some thriller/mystery elements along with the usual steam and some exciting chick-lit bits if you're into that (as I am). The underlying mystery is introduced early on, and the sex is amazingly hot. Fashion pervades, making this appealing for fashionistas like myself.
Werts expertly reveals just enough at once and keeps readers hooked and guessing about where the mystery is going. David is pure hotness and I loved the way the author wrote him. Sexy, sexy, sexy. I was left begging for more.
Candace Werts does a fantastic job of writing this romance novel. I was hooked on reading it from the first chapter. Her second novel is amazing as her first novel, I couldn't put it down - I had to finish it till the end and I stayed late at night to finish reading this book.
This novel has drama, romance, and a mysterious touch to it. After all, who put that person's head at the door? That's where the real drama starts.
Her series is suspenseful and filled with romance - I would def. recommend it to romance/mystery lovers!
*Disclosure: I was provided a free ARC from Goodreads First reads in exchange for an honest review.
The story continues. The drama continues and of course the romance. The sex scenes were very graphic and I would recommend that you not read this book in a public place. Hot is an understatement. Did I forget to mention all of the secrets? Marcia has plenty of them and they kept me turning the pages. Now on to part 3.
I received a free copy of the book in return for an honest review. This is book 2 of a trilogy and I did not read the first book, which might have let me know the characters better. I felt the author jumped around too much. She would start with romance, then a mysterious delivery, back to romance, complicated friendship, shallow past not well explained. She had a strong heroine who fell to pieces toward the end of the book. The man who loved her left her when she needed him the most.
OMG!!! Looking at the book cover, I knew this book was going to sexy. Marcia and David, what can you say about these sexy people and sex scenes...whew! Yes, David, Yes! I loved how Candace Nicole added drama to Marcia's book regarding her past...very entertaining and I didn't want the story to end. Can't wait to read Giselle's story.
I recently read another book by Candace Nicole Werts and I was very pleased with her writing style! I wanted to read Marcia and David's Story as it looked very interesting and sexy. I would say that Candace Nicole Werts did a great job with character development and she made the characters easy to relate to. Marcia has everything that every woman wants. She has a great career where she is using her skills and making great money. She has some amazing friends who she is able to share all of her secrets with. And most of all she has David. I loved how steamy the love scenes were and I also liked how the book actually had a story. Too many erotic love stories are based just on the love scenes, but this book is different and has a lovely story to go along with it. Love the author and her books. It's also awesome that someone is finally focusing on interracial couples! Highly recommend!
I came across Made for You while I was looking for a fun steamy read, and this one caught my eye. I'm glad it did. I liked the main character Marcia a lot and getting to know a little of her back story was fun. There were tons of hot scenes scattered throughout and both Marcia and David are hot enough to get your heart racing for sure. This book was full of dramatic twists and turns that made this book almost impossible to put down. Definitely check this book out if you are interested in erotic romance stories, suspense, mysteries, or just a fun read. This one is well written, super hot, and not cheesy like some of the romance stories that seem to be coming out now.
Secrets, Mystery, Drama, all with a romance . . . amazing Marcia is a woman with all that and more. She has secrets that could cause life to become unbearable. David can be what she needs to face it all.
Werts has done it again. She delivers a romance that has mystery, drama, intrigue, and suspense woven in and out in all the right places. She keeps the story going even after revealing sections to make you think. I so look forward to more from her and this series 'Made'.
Enjoyed this book. Another good book in her series. The story lines were good you did not know what to expect next. Have to reread to see if it stated who put the box at her door. I was glad she was able to amend her friendship with Carmen. Marcia and David had some intense moments so you have a open mine for theses sections as you read (Smile). Looking forward to reading her next book
This book was a good read but it could of given a little more background on why that Detective thought it was so necessary to follow Marcia around when she didn't follow in her father footsteps. David and Marcia gives a new meaning to the word Freaks
This book has the r I title of being a BWWM read.....well I'm not sure if this was a blatant misrepresentation or characters were from another book. I was not impressed
I was enjoying this book much more than the first one until she broke out the cocaine. That pretty much killed the rest of the book for me. The cigarettes were enough, but the coke was too much.
