"Wife's Murderer or a Victim of fate". This headline flooded the news channels. A 35 yr old guy killing his wife at City Hospital and then trying to jump off the same building. A selfish, ruthless murderer who took away a 10 yr old girls mother and then attempted a suicide. Why? Financial problems?... NO. Disputes with wife?... NO. Mentally unstable?... NO. Then, WHY? Only person who had an answer to this question.. He, himself. His silence even at the court sessions added to the twists of the case. He said nothing in his defense neither hired a lawyer. He seemed heartless, cold blooded killer, a murderer, a maniac, mentally unstable to the world. Every medium spoke bad for him but no one really cared to know the reason why he killed his wife. He was a Murderer until ...

Can anyone be so vicious to kill a person whom they love utterly?

Murdered to Moksha , a debut novel by Rohit Shetty answers the above question.

The novel takes off with an edgy scene where one of the main characters of the story, Aarav Rathode is sentenced to life imprisonment for murdering his ailing wife, Esha Rathode. The story moves rapidly from then on. In the earlier chapters it deals with a man who craves to live an independent life, a man who wants to earn fame with his own potential. As the story progresses the past life of Aarav is revealed, presented with well crafted flashbacks. The next few chapters deal with the tensions that Aarav had to face during his struggle to attain an independent life. The story takes an abrupt turn in the concluding chapters and the whole thing behind the title of the book begins to unfurl.

Through the story, the author has tried to raise a thought provoking question about the judicial system of our country. In depth research has been done by the author regarding the main theme of the story which I leave to the readers to find out. The information provided at the end of the book regarding the same was very helpful in understanding the concept.

Every turn of the page kept me interested as the narrative is quite engrossing. The poignant end is capable enough to make the readers highly emotional.

Moksha” by Rohit Shetty as he writes wonderful poetry and this is his debut novel, so I wanted to read his imagination into writing a novel and I am happy that he has great job. The initial starting was very gripping and it made your interest to read the whole book. The protagonist Aarav is well defined. I enjoyed reading the way he left his father’s home in order to prove himself. The relationship between Aarav and Esha is well portrayed. The cover and title of the book is interesting and the Blurb is very interesting which make you attracted towards the book. Both the author had taken a controversial issue in their debut novel, which had not yet approved in the Indian society. The language of the book is sweet and simple. The ending letter of Esha aarav’s wife will make you emotional and it will going to touch the heart of the reader. This story is no doubt best for the Bollywood movie. Overall, an interesting read that will keep the readers glued till the end. All those who love to read mysterious novel with a medical twist can go and buy this book. It is worth reading. All the best to Rohit Shetty
