Still debating on whether or not I like Maverick, though now that I know what happened to him to make him that way. He's just a cuddly teddy bear. *snort* See what I did there?

What an improvement over book 2. I loved it.
The Good, The Bad, and Everything Else: Maverick's book was so good. He was more animal than human and preferred to live in his bear form out in the woods rather than as a man with clothing restraints. His background explains why this is and his character is actually deeper than every other character I've read by Terry Bolryder thus far. He's really pretty charming in his own way and even though he doesn't try to be funny he is. His entire thought process is innocent as an animal's would be without the devious intentions that unfortunately are found in many humans. As a matter of fact he often refers to others as human and doesn't consider himself even part human. Harmony is his complete opposite and I liked how she appreciated him for who he was and didn't expect him to change. He did a lot of growing up in this book and I absolutely loved him.
The romance felt quick but when you factor in the H and h met months ago it wasn't as insta-lovey as the first two books in this series. Although it did wrap itself in an almost fated mate type of situation I wasn't unhappy with it. Mav was a bear. He thought as a bear. In his mind he gave himself to Harmony as her mate and she was his. The End. As an animal it was simple. Humans make things more complicated and he honestly didn't know if he was capable of being human enough to actually love Harmony as a human loves their partner.
There was conflict, a bit of suspense, epiphanies, and a big bear of a man who finally figured out humans sometimes need the help of other humans.
In a Nutshell: My very favorite book by Terry Bolryder so far. I loved this book.

This is the first book I have read in this series, so perhaps I would have liked it more had I read the others. I was told each book could be read as a standalone, and I agree with that for the most part, but I felt like this book lacked much intensity. It had an insta-love vibe to it. I did like the hero Maverick, and how he was willing to try anything to win over his "mate". Overall, this was a pretty average shifter romance. Nothing overly memorable, but since this series is offered as a kindleunlimited, I will likely go check out the other books as well. I also love some of this authors other series.

Love this book, love this series!!!!! Maverick is the youngest McAllister brother and the most wild. Abandoned by his bear mother in the woods, Maverick spent the first several years of his life alone in bear form. After his brothers and father find him and bring him home, he grows up more bear then man. He leads the wildlife and horse back riding tours on their family ranch, but chafes in his human skin. He has already met his mate and is eagerly waiting for her return to visit her two friends, who have mated Maverick's two older brothers. Harmony has been attracted to Maverick from the start, but tells herself that having a life with him would be impossible. He is a savage, uncivilized mountain man and she is a sophisticated New York City girl, no matter how bad she wants to be with him, she just doesn't see how it'll work out. I loved Maverick and Harmony's story!!! Maverick is a very simple, straightforward guy and doesn't understand some of the finer details of wooing a woman, which tends to be pretty entertaining. This series is fantastic and I hope Wyatt's story is next!!!

After reading Shane & Jesse's stories I COULD NOT WAIT FOR THIS ONE. After reading it it was a great ending for the 3 brothers in finding love and saving their beloved ranch/lodge. Maverick wanted Harmony from the beginning but he never know what that woman would make him feel. Maverick had a bad childhood by his mother abandoning him in the woods and he had to let his bear take over and so he is much closer to hi bear then his brothers. Now Harmony is back at the ranch and she is looking for a vacation fling in Maverick but what she gets is not what she got. First time together he forced the mating and now Harmony will make him go through hell until he bears up and lets his human part come out of hiding.
More trouble for Harmony again gets kidnapped and Mav has to find her before its to late but this time he has his old childhood buddy Wyatt to help him. Now I can wait to see if the big macho cougar with a heart of gold will get his chance at his fated mate, and if Mav pulls his strings to create another laugh til you drop dating profile for his friend.

Open up a can of bearass on them
I sooo loved Mav and Harmony's story. It seems to get better and better. I am enthralled with Wyatt and his passion for being an upstanding wercat. He seems to always be at the right place at the right time I cannot wait to read his story and find out what happens to Jessie& Bonnie, Shane & Ruby, and even Maverick and Harmony. Does Bonnie ever pregnant, does Ruby have a girl or a boy, if Bonnie does get pregnant is it gonna be a lynx or a bear...oh my and if Maverick become a great uncle and over protective bear of father if they have kids....a lot I know. But if you like that then you need to read this book along with the rest of the series..

Maverick is the 3rd and last brother who needs to get married or his family will lose everything. He already has his eye on his future mate who is coming to visit. Harmony is the best friend to his sister-in-laws. She is human and has no idea that bear shifters exist. Maverick thinks of himself as a bear more than a man. He knows Harmony is his fated mate but he believes bears don't love. He also has no clue how to woo a woman. My favorite quote from the story shows his cluelessness. " For someone as special as Harmony, he'd not only wear stifling clothes; he'd wear clean ones. She was a very lucky female indeed." I also really loved the scene where he gets a shave and a haircut! Hilarious!

Fantastic story and characters. You will fall in love with Maverick right away, he is such a sweet bear man who is just confused about whether he should be thinking like a bear or a man. Harmony does not know what to do with him, he acts so animalistic, and yet seems perfect for her in almost every way. Can these two beautiful people figure out how to communicate to show that they belong together forever?

Terry Bolryder never lets me down. She knows how to tell her story and at the same time keep you on pins and needles. Maverick's bear wants its mate, and Harmony wants a good time until she falls in love with Maverick. it takes family friend Wyatt to explain to Maverick the caring for and protecting a MATE is the same as a humans way to love.

He ain't no teddy bear but GRRRR....
I have loved every book in the Bear Haven series but I think this one was my favorite. Maverick's sweetly different from "the humans" and just lets his bear rule him. It worked for his brothers after all. Makes it interesting when pitted against a human female who won't accept his seeming brutishness. Good from cover to cover. But there are a few cliffhangers for me - Why did the McAllisters and Wyatt stop being friends as kids? Why could Jesse sense his mate's "otherness" if he's a bear? I think that should all be wrapped up in Wyatt's story.

Maverick has a troubled past, Harmony was in his sights
Maverick thought that finding mates for his brothers, was a very good thing. Seeing Harmony, that threw everything out of the window. He was instantly attracted. He preferred being a bear, didn't understand the human side of things. Harmony was so close to liking him. A few stolen kisses, that's wonderful. Can he change enough to let her notice?

Wild Bear is right poor Maverick just dosnt get why he can't just pick a woman kiss her and she will fall all over him lol talk about a wild bear he cracks me up but I think he is also the sweetest man as well he just needs to be understood thank goodness for Harmony she seemed to get Mav right from the start even if he did frustrate the hell out of her.

This book is my favourite so far of the Bear Haven series! I love Maverick' s wild side and how he is prepared to do anything and everything to get his mate! I find Harmony a little cold hearted at times specifically when she tells him she only wants to be with hi. At night for the sex! However in the end all is well when ends well. Highly recommended

Hilarious and Sweet
I absolutely love the characters that Ms. Bolryder creates; full of depth, hidden emotions, thoughtful and complex. Ms. Bolryder has an edge on every other shifter author and never fails to enthrall.

Wow!! Another awesome romance.

I liked their story. I had been curious to see how Mav would win his mate and overall I liked it. It was fast paced, sexy, sweet, a bit a drama thrown in, and a wild protective alpha bear rescuing the heroine again.

Poor Mav! So misunderstood, but so lovable. If . . . You can get past his idiosyncrasies. I does have a few, but there is a reason. I enjoyed the nuances.

Good short story. Loved the three brothers. However the instalove between the two felt a bit off for mates. However I did enjoy the maverick and Wyatt moments felt organic
