An okay story about a couple who broke up but still loved each other, until danger came to one of them as he was fighting the fire in California. I couldn't really say much about it, because it was too short (for me anyway) to make a deep impact. I liked Shaun (and his dog, Toby!) but I felt Caleb hadn't fleshed out enough -- being an adrenaline junkie and everything. I missed out his 'reasoning' I guess. Plus this being a sort of established couple, I also missed their beginning.

Conclusion, was okay but not one that memorable enough for me

So let me start of this review by telling you that I 100% loved this novella.
I love second chance romances and this one was done perfectly. You could feel the love between these two MC's even though they were apart and how hurt they were by not being together.
Caleb is a adrenaline junkie to the point were he was constantly putting himself at risk and breaking plans with Shaun. Well Shaun eventually gets tired of it and I really don't blame him. Sometimes breaking up and having to face a life without the person you love will really show you what you are losing.
I thought this book was sweet but not too sweet. The way they come back together had me on the edge of my seat hoping everything would work out happily ever after for them.
So all together I loved this novella! I would definitely recommend this book!

This is a short story (61 pages on Ipad), part of the Storming Love series. In this one, Caleb is an adrenaline junkie, one who puts his job, fighting fires with the Hotshots, first, his friends second and his lover, Shaun, a distant third. I don’t think he purposely meant to hurt Shaun, but Caleb is pretty selfish. Shaun finally comes to realize, “…when Caleb had stopped making his at least a top five priority, he had to salvage some self-respect and take a stand.” Which he does, by breaking up with the man he loves.
It takes more danger to put things in perspective. I liked the idea of it, the fireman always chasing the thrill and not realizing what he is putting people through, but the story is too short to really delve into the why’s of things. It also wasn’t enough time to get a feel for Caleb, other than I thought he was usually thinking of just himself. I liked Shaun immensely and the premise was interesting. It was a quick, easy read.

Devon Rhodes what more can you says. This book took a different turn then the others and I loved that. The others were new loves but this was an old love. I loved how the author brought Caleb and Shaun back together. It was quite clear that Caleb & Shaun still loved each other, which was something the author excelled at bringing to the forefront of the story. Great job!!

Caleb and shaun broke up because caleb was and is an adrenaline junkie who loves to fight fires. But when caleb is hurt shaun will do anything to get him back.
