In terms of potential: Even if you are not a genius, you can learn Mysterious Techniques and martial skills. You can also learn without a teacher.
In terms of strength: Even if you have tens of thousands of treasures, you may not be able to defeat my grand World Spirit army.
Who am I? Every single living thing in the world views me as Asura. However, I did not know about that. Thus, as Asura, I became the Martial God.
I read this @wuxiaworld, but this is not the wuxia novels in the tradition of Gu Long, Jin Yong etc. The translations can be awkward, but after a few hundred chapters, one sort of get used to it. The plot line development is not very consistent (since I didn't have that great of expectation to start with....), i.e. at earlier part of the story will do and say one thing, but then several hundred chapters later the main character will do something that defied/broke the principles setup previously. The martial arts/magic system is also not very consistent. I understand the author would like to progressively make it stronger and stronger and narrates it from the view of the main character (some of it can be attributed to translation), but it still sort of points to the less than meticulous development by the author. All in all, a decent read.
Starts out well, develops characters and creates an exciting world to launch the story line. However the author constantly regurgitates and recycles the plot lines. Even though the Novels are still ongoing, save your self the anxiety and frustration at the never ending rinse and repeat.
after so many arcs, it sort of got repetitive and boring for me, for each level advancement, the same routine got repeated, while the development of abilities and knowledge was interesting, I couldn't keep up with the sheer volume of repetitiveness.
A classic concerning the Wuxia genre. A pity that it hasn't been completely translated. It definitely has its place with other webnovel such as the famous "coiling dragon ring".
I hope that this book, and this genre, will soon be recognized and have a complete translation.
