Basically the h goes to her boss' Halloween party and hooks up with his brother, a year pasts where she sees him sometimes but he never brings it up. On the next Halloween she's determined to rock his world and also get some answers
The H hooked up with her but didn't bring it up because he's convinced she believed he was his twin brother, the next year they finally talk and sort things out.

Quick Rundown: Last Halloween Nikki Carson got more than she could hope for after meeting up with Patrick Nolan in a dark alcove at her boss’s Halloween party. A year later, Nikki is prepared to meet Patrick for round two sporting a dominatrix kitty costume for the annual Halloween party. She is determined to find out why he never contacted her and to make an impression on Patrick that lasts beyond a one-night-stand.
First Impression: Upon my first look at the gorgeous cover I knew Cari Quinn was going to bring the naughty to this Halloween novella, so I grabbed the bowl of candy corn, lit the jack-o-lantern and settled in for a quick holiday treat.
The Hero: Construction worker, Patrick Nolan not only likes to get dirty on the job but also enjoys working up a sweat in the bedroom. With his piercing eyes and buttery voice, Patrick propositions Nikki to take their party to a more private place in the house. The question is, does Nikki know it’s Patrick, or does she think it is his twin (her boss) when they meet for a quick tryst.
The Heroine: Nikki Carson is the assistant to Easton Nolan, Patrick’s twin brother. She knows it is not wise to hook up, sexually, with her boss, however his twin brother is a different matter.
What worked: With all of the books I have read by Ms. Quinn, she always delivers passionate chemistry with her characters and tangible atmospheres to draw the reader in and witness the story unfold.
What didn’t work: Unfortunately the story was too short to really have the character development I crave, however, the bases were covered in the plot and the attraction was evident with the main characters. The secondary characters provided just enough intrigue to revisit in the future.
Final Conclusion: Bad Kitty is a sensually scrumptious treat for any Halloween lover that enjoys the naughty over spooky!

Patrick and Nikki
This was a fast paced storyline. Can’t tell to much except that it’s a fun read. Nikki works for Easton a successful real estate company. He’s gorgeous and he has a twin brother, Patrick who owns a successful Construction company.
One Halloween Nikki ends up having amazing hot sex with one of the twins, but she doesn’t know which one it was.
The characters were limited in this book, and the two sex scenes were a level 3 1/2🔥. It was a good read.

I read this story this morning, while my BF slept. Once I was done, well... let's just say, he wasn't sleeping anymore. ;-)
SUPER hot little book. Nikki has a sexy one night stand with her boss' twin brother, however he's under the impression that she thinks he is the other twin. That plot line was a little silly, but you know. Who cares?
Quick, sexy little read. I'm starting to really like Cari Quinn!

A Halloween masquerade party is the setting for how BAD KITTY begins, and before the story ends, the backdrop becomes much more sensual than intriguing. Dressing up as someone else gave two individuals the freedom to act upon their longing for each other. Yet questions linger afterward that keep them from openly discussing what happened after their unplanned interlude during the celebration. I thought the story was entertainingly depicted with genuine attraction and an abundance of heated desire.
When Nikki Carson went to the Halloween party given by her boss, she never expected to have a memorable sexual encounter with his twin brother. Though Patrick Nolan also clearly remembers every moment of their time together that night, neither of them ever mentioned what took place or how deeply they are still affected after a whole year. Bad Kitty is the third novella I've read by Cari Quinn, and my most favorite of the ones I've read by her. Novellas are funny creatures. It's hard to get the storyline just right because of how short they are in length, but Cari Quinn is an excellent example of how it's possible to create characters to love and rally behind in a short amount of time.
This was a great Halloween read, and I know that I'll be reading it again once it gets closer to the holiday. Nikki meets her bosses twin brothers at the Halloween party her boss throws every year. They hooked up, and Nikki has spent all year trying to figure why he hasn't called or shown interest in her when it was one of the best nights of her life. Patrick on the other hand is convinced that Nikki thought she was hooking up with his brother and not him, because most women go for his brother Easton. When Halloween rolls around again, Easton convinces his brother to go to his party because he has other plans, Patrick agrees because he knows he'll get to see Nikki again who he hasn't forgotten about.
Patrick is surprised when Nikki lets him know that she knows it wasn't her boss she hooked up with because so few people can tell them apart, but as his brothers Admin Assistant she can tell the difference. When the two finally get together it's well worth the wait. This novella is so short that if I say more I'll give the entire storyline away, so I'll just say that by the time I got finished reading this I needed a fan to cool me down with because it was hawt with a capital H! I had this read in an under an hour, and I have to say I was impressed with how much I liked both Nikki and Patrick. I also really liked his brother Easton and am hoping we'll get to see more of him sometime soon! Bad Kitty was definitely a Halloween treat!

Wow, this one was hot hot hot! I loved Bad Kitty from the very first sultry page to the last! I instantly liked Nikki (and hey, I like the name too hehe). I loved how the entire novella centered around a yearly Halloween party because I always thought if any place was a good place for a one night hook up, a party where people wear masks would be a great place to start.
That’s exactly what Bad Kitty gives the readers. A sexy encounter under the stairs dressed as a monk and a genie. What follows is a year long withdrawal with neither Nikki nor Patrick being able to forget those few hot minutes they shared. Except poor Patrick isn’t sure Nikki realized it was him and not his twin brother, her boss. When Halloween comes around Nikki is determined to get Patrick to notice her again…this time in a slinky dominatrix kitty costume straight out of the Halloween addition of Playboy Magazine.
I loved Patrick..he was a wet dream come to life. All hard muscles, smooth talking…magic lips…man candy. Oh my I thought he was hot. Maybe a bit dim witted for going a whole year seeing Nikki and never approaching her about their hookup, fearing she hadn’t been aware it was him. Though she never said anything either so I can’t fault him solely. When they come (yes Im aware don’t email me about innuendo) together for a second time, it’s so hot I thought I should have a cigarette after reading it! WOW.
Cari Quinn knows exactly how to hook a reader with a novella and make them care about the characters. That’s an extremely hard feat to accmplish in such a short time and many authors fall short…Cari does not. Bad Kitty is an excellent erotic novella that is expertly written, thoroughly executed and the heat level could warm up an ice palace! I LOVED and wholeheartedly recommend!

My Review:
I have always loved holiday books, but most of them tend to be Christmas books. Cari Quinn has created this series which is going to center around Halloween. Halloween is my all-time favorite holiday, so I am REALLY excited about this new series.
I really enjoyed this book. My only real complaint is that I wanted MORE. What is there is extremely HOT. I loved the passion between Patrick & Nikki...they are sizzling. I like that the year interim between their two hook-ups is really not what either of them want, but they are so unsure with what the other person is thinking, that they let a year go by before they face their passion for a second time.
I love that the second book looks like it is going to take place in the same time frame as this book. It will simply be a perspective from other characters. Cari is QUEEN of writing books like this and I love it!
Overall, this was a great book. My only hope is that we get to see more of Patrick and Nikki and the development of their relationship in the subsequent books of the series. This is definitely a series that is going on my "auto-buy" list.

This was free, a novella and about Halloween, so it appealed to me. This is the second book by this author that I've read and, unfortunately, I think she is just not for me. Nikki is the heroine. She's the assistant to Easton, a real estate mogul. Easton has a twin brother, Patrick (the hero), who works on homes. All I could think about after learning that was the twin brothers from "Property Brothers"... So, the majority of the book is sex between Nikki and Patrick on two different occasions. Both times, Patrick is riddled with doubt because he thinks Nikki has him confused with his brother. It's utterly ridiculous. The plot is really not believable at all.

You know how sometimes you just want a quick fun erotic romance read?
... that's definitely what this is intended to be.
It's just ... what kept running through my mind was "this was a junk food read" and look I love me some junk food so that was NOT AN INSULT.
The ~issue with this book is ... the hero and heroine hook up one Halloween - they obviously KNOW each other because the heroine is the hero's twin brother's assistant.
...
And then they hook up the next year too. BUT HAVE BASICALLY ZERO INTERACTION IN THE INTERIM. ... EVEN THOUGH THEY SEE EACH OTHER. Like dude goes to the office.
And just ... NEITHER OF THEM SAYS ANYTHING.
WHAT.
And/but the second Halloween it's all "I LURVE YOU."
...
...
...
...
Ok look - I get it. The hero (Patrick) thinks Nikki might think he's actually his [twin] brother East. And ... Nikki thinks maybe he just ... thought it was a quickie.
Because also - at the Halloween party? They have like 0 interaction. It's just "hey meet me by the basement stairs" and they have a quick fuck. It's good, but it's wham bam thank you ma'am.
And then the radio silence. Sure Patrick was out of town for a good chunk of the year building stuff.
But ... again.
Like - whut.
They'd seen each other in the office - there are so many ways SOMETHING could've been communicated.
And then the second party ... first Nikki is dressed as a "Domme Kitty" or something - and like O_o to a WORK event? Really? >.>
But then also has almost 0 interaction with Patrick but he's like "go to the basement to wait for me so we can fuck" and she does and he leaves her for 20 minutes trying to ramp up the anticipation but then gets roped in by his ex girlfriend (who O_o actually thinks he's his brother ... which ... oof) - and Nikki sees them and thinks Patrick is trying to hook up with some other girl - so she leaves BUT is also like "hey come to my house before midnight if you wanna fuck me in the ass."

Obviously he's into it. And I just ...
this took way too much suspension of disbelief for me.
Yeah there are sexy parts but for me they got outweighed by the "... whut."

I have read this book before yet under a different authors name; but this is explained in the blurb at the books presentation. It you don’t like to read explicit sexual scenes this this is not the book for you to read because it does do just that. However if you can get past that the plot of the story is really very good. Nikki Carson is the secretary for Easton Nolan. He owns a very prestigious real estate business. His twin brother Patrick would rather work with his hands and is the building and or refurbishing side. Each Halloween Easton throws a party at his lush home. It is not that the Easton’s money is any influence on her, her own family had more money than they did. A year passes and it's time for a repeat of the Halloween party. She meets Patrick again but things don't work out like Patrick plans. Nikki leaves but gives him her address and tells him she'll leave the door unlocked for him until midnight. He goes and they go at it and he spends the night. He's going to confess that he's not who she thinks he is and hilarity ensues. They do get their HEA.

This short story did exactly what it said on the tin - hot sex, a bit of misunderstanding, hot sex and Halloween. The characters of Nikki and Patrick were fleshed out perfectly for a story of this length and we were given all the information we needed to make it believable. After a scorchingly hot encounter at a Halloween party, Nikki and Patrick are both ready for more but circumstances and misunderstanding keep them apart until the following Halloween. This was a quick, sexy, explicit read that I loved.

Sexy, quick read!
I really liked this book, it was a great short story. Patrick was sexy while also being adorable and vulnerable. His costumes especially the second one killed me haha. He and Nikki had such great passion and chemistry and seemed so perfect together. I wish we got a bit of a flash forward at the end of it or an epilogue but that's just me being greedy lol, the ending was fantastic as is. Highly recommend this book.

Romances have a hard time getting 5 stars out of me, but this one hit all the marks. Not only can you feel the heat sloughing off the two main characters, but their believable. The bedroom (and other places) scenes are well choreographed, the editing spot on, and the plot steady. If I have any complaints, it would be that the story was just too short.

Quick and dirty read sure to set your panties on fire. Nikki and Patrick are attracted to each other but are hesitant to take the plunge. She works for his brother after all. Taryn Quinn is a great team of authors. Their DILF series was my first experience with them. Haven't been disappointed yet.

Just not good.
I've read several things by this author that I really liked, but this isn't one of them. I was expecting a short, sexy holiday themed story but it didn't flow well, the characters were immature and had no social or conversational skills. It was just poorly done.

Very quick read and very steamy. Nikki knew what she wanted, and I loved that she would go for it. Patrick wanted Nikki but was concerned about being confused for his twin. It was sweet when she teased him, but it was a nice ending.
