Chyna Danea Black never wanted for much in life. She had everything a woman could want - except for the love and respect of her boyfriend, Tyreik. They’d been together since she was sixteen. She had high hopes for their relationship; but after numerous betrayals, it becomes painfully clear that she’s chasing after a high she’ll never be able to get back again. Emotionally Unavailable is the long awaited, highly anticipated sequel to Keisha Ervin’s best-selling novel, Chyna Black. Instead of letting love trample all over her like she has in the past, Chyna is fighting for her dignity, self worth and most importantly, her heart. But starting over isn’t something she wants to do. Sometimes it’s easier to stay and deal with the devil you already know then the devil you don’t.
Hailing from St. Louis, Missouri, Keisha Ervin is a prolific writer and devoted mother. Her success has drawn much deserved attention to herself and her hometown. She is the author of the National Best-Sellers Chyna Black, Me & My Boyfriend, Mina's Joint and Hold U Down, as well as the novel Torn and the short story After the Storm, featured in the Street Love anthology.
This book was everything. As we have been waiting for this sequel she did not disappoint. Chyna and Ty will always and forever be toxic with one another, at times i was so mad at Chyna like bruuhhhhh get it together but i couldnt be mad because thats how it is when u love someone... U dont wanna let that love go. Ty and Chyna need to just let that shit gooooo i liked Carlos lil milky ass lol Keisha grabbed my attention and i have always loved her books. The writing and detail has grown so much from her TC days. I hated how India was overlooked, but im telling u as much as i would like to talk about it, she is giving life and opening eyes to real life issues.
Lola Bandz I love u girl cant wait for the next one
I don't rate books but this one annoyed me too much not to. It's pages of a couple fighting and the protagonist deciding to stay in a crappy relationship cause a scewed up idea of what love means and invested time. What is the plot besides reading about a relationship (hopefully) crappier than your own. If this book resembles your relationship then leave your partner and find a better person. Be happy being single or finding yourself just don't stay in a relationship cause you love each other but can't stop having the same fight.
There is no conclusion, just highlights of a year of fights on cheating. It's another series where one book is split into a series and your wondering why you are reading it. Nothing annoys me more than that.
I REALLY LIKED THIS BOOK . IT HAD ME MAD. LAUGHING/ SHAKIN MY HEAD AND READY TO THROW IT AWAY (LOL) good books do that to you : - ) in the first book "CHYNA BLACK" I really wanted Chyna and Tyreke together but this book just made me want them to break up like damn their relationship drained me and im not even apart of the book . . . I wish Keisha would have made Chyna and Carlos end up together he seemed cool :) good book it just made me mad at Chyna she was investing so much into Tyreke and not enough time into her child I hate parents like that . . . if there is a 3rd installment for this book TYREKE better die & Chyna and Carlos love story should begin . . .

Its like the author forgot what she wrote in book 1. In the first book Chyna could drive, this book she doesn't know how to drive. In the first book Brooke and Jaylen are dating... this book Asia an Jaylen are together... Also I got so sick of the back and forth with her and Tyreik. I can't give more than 2 stars.
I was very disappointed in this book. I have been a fan of Keisha Ervin's since 2004 and I can't believe what I read. This book did not match up with the first book. In the 1st book Brooke and Jaylin ended up together, not him and Asia. In the first book, Chyna drove and ended up running into Jaylin when something went wrong with her car. Did Keisha Ervin read her first book before she decided to write a sequel that doesn't match up. This book was a complete mess. Chyna was so mentally unstable it was pathetic. Comparing Tyreik to 50 Cent uglass was a disappointment. Keisha made Chyna look so weak, miserable and desperate in this book. Tyreik being broke is unimaginable especially since he used to be a hustler. The title of this book makes me wonder if Keisha Ervin was "Emotionally Unavailable".
Chyna Black series was so good that I hate it will be ending soon. I really saw myself at times in Chyna for being distracted or blinded by love and not being able to focus. Procrastinating on finishing her books and staying on her grind. And then she wakes up from the mess she’s made of being with a loser way too long and not putting herself first and to stop giving her body away at the drop of a hat to satisfy her inner diva because doing that, you will never feel like a winner when you really sit down and do the one on one with yourself. I’m getting ready to read the last book in the Chyna series “Such a fuckin lady” and I pray that in her last book that she finds the true love that she deserves. I recommend this series. I’m now one of Keisha Ervin’s biggest fans and will be purchasing everything she writes
I agree with alot of the reviews of other folks. I pride myself on leaving honest reviews and just because I love some of Keisha Ervin's books doesn't mean I can let this book just slide through and pretend it's okay. It wasn't..I hate when u remember stuff from the first book and expect them to flow right into the next book and it just changes with no real reason why.. I'm just sooo surprised that nobody went back and read the first book to make sure the second book would flow cohesively. I am absolutely over the Chyna and Tyreik saga. Is this the same Chyna that's in the Dream books? Ain't no way. Something ain't right and I don't like that. I'm glad this was free because I would have asked for my money back if I paid for this 🙄
The tumultuous relationship between Tyreik and Chyna was enough to bring a sane man to his knees such a very toxic relationship. I did see some growth in Chyna but definitely not enough to leave until tragedy strikes...Sometimes God takes the ones we love more than him to help us and this could very well be that situation. Definitely a good read and I can’t wait to catch up with more Chyna.
This has to be the definition of insanity! Like all the back and forth. The low self esteem, the neglect, the sadness.. its too much! Like girl get your self together! I never want to have a love that deep and strong where I just settle because of the amount of years and lose my self worth!! This book was so frustrating with the back and forth with Chyna & Tyrique. Omg!!
This book was not as good as the first one. I hated Chyna’s weakness and her stupidity. She loved Tyreik more than she loved her self f she could put up with his BS. It’s sad to see women so desperate. Chyna was confused because what she and Tyreik had wasn’t love it was abuse. Love is kind, gentle, and warm…love doesn’t hurt, being in love can hurt you but love itself doesn’t hurt.
Keisha has never fallen with the sequel s, from Chyna Black. Where is the sequel from Such a fucking lady. We need that now with all this Mess 😡 going on in the world now. Any news on good book's from Vickie Stringer. Keisha please keep them coming with another sequel for Pure Heroine. God's got your back 🙏 .
Chyna is just as dumb in her thirties as she was as a teen. I want to give it one star just because she is so stupid. Her teen years were understandable but this chic is 31 with a preteen getting played by a loser. I have to give it five stars because the author clearly relays the thoughts of someone justifying the bull they put up with. It's a whole toxic cycle.
From the beginning to end this book takes you high then low...on and on! I loved it! Ms. Keisha Ervin did it again! I can't wait to start the next book in this series!
I definitely didn’t see that ending coming. I swear Chyna worked every last nerve in my body. While reading this I was like when is she going to get it together. I have to read part 3 cause life has to definitely get better for her. Lawd that ending!!!!!!
This is probably one of the best books I've read all year and I've read a lot of books this year!! I'm so happy Keisha decided to write about Chyna and Tyreik again. I loved Chyna Black and I love this book as well!!!
I can't believe I waited so long to read this book. Emotionally unavailable had me in my feelings because I saw myself in Chyna. As I'm sure many others will. A must read...
So leaving off of Chyna Black I could have sworn Brooke had started talking to Jaylen but in this book it was Asia that was with him. This whole book was about how crazy Chyna was behind Tyreik and didn’t have a care or love enough for herself or her daughter
Thank u so much for this one! There was a lot of back and forth In this book which I’m sure a lot of readers can relate. Can’t wait to read the next installment in this series.
Chyna chyna Chyna!! Where is your self-worth, self-esteem. This relationship is very toxic. This book describes so many relationships I have seen. It’s sad how some will allow others to mistreat them.
Chyna and Tyriek relationship is toxic. Chyna need to wake up and let go Tyriek will never change the car accident should be a wake up call for both of them.
China really gets on my nerves! I have to say that her character is true. A woman not knowing her worth is disheartening. On to the next read! I do recommend!
Chyna Black Is A Whole Different Kind Of Crazy, Cuz That Back & Forth With Ty Is Way Too Much For Mine My Nerves, She Making Me Not Like Her Dumb A#@ Frfr, Ty Is Just As Retardard As She Is..... TOXIC ALL AWAY AROUND SMDH LITERALLY 😭😭😩😭😩💔
This was an ok read. The author wasn't consistent with her characters though. I'm still a little confused from how Chyna went from driving a truck Tyreik bought her in the first book, to not ever knowing how to drive in the second book. Chyna really got on my nerves this go round from being just plain stupid for/over Tyreik. I'm hoping Chyna will grow up and stand her ground in part 3.

My 6 word review: Shocked and amazed at the transparency!
This book was a work of transparency. And so for that, I cannot give this book a bad review. It takes a lot of courage to bear your flaws and vulnerable moments to people especially ones you consider fans. Your fans are the ones you want to see you in a positive light but Keisha Ervin has decided to shed the feeling of shame and allow her readers to see behind the scenes of the most tumultuous time of her life. I appreciate her for this especially because so many of her readers have been or are in a toxic relationship and it helps to know that you were or not the only one experiencing this type of “love”. This book may serve as a wake up call for some or a sign of hope that your King/Queen is nearby and you are blocking them. The only thing that I was annoyed with was the repetition of the relational rollercoaster and random placement of the word Gate behind words.
I spent most of this book wishing that Chyna would wake up and see how toxic and wrong her relationship was. I vacillated between frustration and empathy a lot because why would a woman who is as in control and accomplished as Chyna is settle for anyone less than stellar? But real life doesn't work that way. It's nearly impossible to recognise dysfunction for what it is while standing in its midst, especially when that same dysfunction makes the pain of being lonely go away. That's where this book won me over (not that there was even a fight) There was no formulaic sitcom like resolution. Because even though I knew Chyna needed to wake up and want better, forcing that would've just appear insincere and forced. She's getting there and she's the only one who can get herself there. I'm just hoping that the cliffhanger doesn't void the baby stepped progress made in this book. I loved this book and I can't wait to see what happens next.
If you know what LOVE IS OR WHAT BEING IN LOVE IS all about you have to read and relate to Emotionally Unavailable. Keisha Ervin didn't cut any corners she gave you the business raw and uncut. Chyna Black will bring you down memory lane and take you thru your emotions and situations so real you will think she was writing about you. Ty was all about self and couldn't do right. Chyna over came and became successful but Ty couldn't just be happy. And the end of the day Chyna just had to know when enough was enough. That's the way love goes. Love is different for everyone it just depends on the MALE AND THE FEMALE how it ends up. Awesome job Keisha you did and amazing Job
