Wow, what an unexpected surprise! I totally didn't expect to fall in love with this book. I was totally captivated by this love story. This book had my mind frantically anticipating when and how everything would inevitably go spectacularly wrong, being I was so captivated by the joy of everything being so right! I enjoyed the highs and felt all the lows of this book. I thought I could see what secret they story was going to expose, but I was so wrong. I love it when an author can surprise me with the secret. And then at the end I was hit with the thing I didn't expect at all....a cliff-hanger!!! I'm dying for the next book, but I'm so happy that I get more Nathan and Bryer.

This is an amazing debut from this new and talented author.
It is the beautifully told tale of Bryer a young, beautiful, sweet, intelligent woman. Bryer has had her share of heartache and disappointment when it comes to love. She decides that a fresh start is what she requires after finding her soon to be husband in another woman's bed.
Bryer has left everything behind to start fresh. She has a new home, job and routine. She begins working out at the local gym and she finds herself overwhelming attracted to the personal trainer Nathan. She knows all about his torrid sexual trysts but still cannot stop thinking about him and pushing his buttons.
Nathan is a handsome, sexy player that has steered clear of commitment. Never had it and never will until she walks in. He knows that Bryer is to young sweet and innocent for him but that doesn't stop him from wanting her. He has never wanted a women more than her. He begins to fantasize of what it would be like to have and want more. Is he able to give her what she needs and deserves. He never thought he wanted this until she came into his world.
Bryer is running from her past and Nathan has buried his! When these two amazing characters collide it is explosive. The characters are beautifully written and developed. These characters have a sweet, sexy mysterious story to tell and Virginia did an amazing job helping them do that. You the reader will be pulled and taken on a journey that you will soon not forget. It has everything that I enjoy in a good book...love, romance, mystery, and intrigue. Do yourself a favor and take a chance on this new author. You will not be disappointed.
I was gifted this book for an honest review.

3.5 - 4 Forgotten Stars

Very good debut novel from Ms. Wine.

This is book one of this series, it ends on a cliffy but nothing heartbreaking so it was okay although I would have like to know it was part of a series.

The main and secondary characters were amazing and Def the secondary characters are worthy of their own book.

Even though I like the book, I felt a disconnection from the characters at some points on the book. They were areas that in my opinion needed a little more editing to make it shine even more. The base/idea was there but in needed a little more to make it great (a sample of this are the inner dialogue).

Nonetheless, I kept me wanting/needing to know more about the story and what would happen. I'm ready for book #2

Forgotten Truth is a fantastic debut. It has all the elements of an amazing romance novel, from its plot, it's characters, and all the good feels. It ends in a cliffhanger and I'm usually not a fan of cliffies but the plot of this book was so good, I couldn't possibly not want to read what's going to happen next to Bryer and Nathan. I'm so hooked, I want to read the next book already. And Virginia Wine has just become one of my new favorite authors.

Forgotten Truth By Virginia Wine

Bryer Reid doesn’t trust easily after what her ex-fiance, Cash, did to her. But she’s willing to try try again. So when her best friend, Gen, encouraged her to go after her personal trainer at the gym, she gave it her all.

Nathan James is beautiful, sinfully sexy and off limits. He’s a playboy, he’s a bad boy personified, and Bryer’s trainer. She can’t seem to keep her eyes off him, even with his other ‘clients’. When Bryer invites him for ice cream, she’s embarrassed, I mean, Ice Cream? What is she 12?

Nathan says yes and a budding romance begins. Could Nathan be ‘boyfriend’ material? When he breaks Bryer’s heart does she want him to be? She can’t seem to live without this man. He says nothing happened, it was a ‘misunderstanding’. After the sweetest thing happens, she can’t say no.

But Nathan is broken, he has terrible nightmares and Bryer can’t sit back and watch as the man she cares about struggles. Once Nathan learns the truth, it’s understandable how somehow it was forgotten.

WOW!! I mean double WOW!! Can I give out 10 stars! This book was exciting and intriguing and ended way too soon!! I’ve got to have more!! Bryer and Nathan are my new favorite ‘couple’. There’s so many ways this story can go!!

Virginia Wine is phenomenal!! I can’t believe she put so much excitement into one book! Where will she go from here? I absolutely can not wait to find out!!

This is a very enjoyable read from new author Virginia Wine. Nathan and Bryer are maybe one of my favorite new couples I’ve read over the past months. Their story is fresh and fun, they are full of passion and heat, and both have wounds they need each other to help heal. This story follows Nathan, owner of a gym that Bryer works out at. He happens to be her personal trainer & they both seem to like one another, but one day Bryer takes it a step farther with the flirting and one thing leads to another and we are pulled into their love story. Bryer has been hurt by a cheating fiancé in the past and Nathan suffers from nightmares he is not sure where they stem from. The two have obstacles to over come but working together they can be victorious together. There are twists throughout the book as well you don’t really see coming. I loved their flirtiness and the vulnerable side Nathan shows to Bryer throughout the book. You don’t typically think a gym owner and personal trainer would have a soft side, but Bryer finds his and they two are magical together!

Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1) by Virginia Wine and I am torn in my rating of this book. Why? The story was interesting and full of suspense and there is a lot to keep you intrigued but I found it hard to gel with the characters. I felt they could have been more and I was not able to relate to them. I like them, don’t get me wrong but I just needed more from them. The story is fast paced but interesting and Virginia's writing style held my attention but I would have loved to have a bit more information and background. Definitely a good start to a series and I will definitely be looking for book two to see what happens!

I was asked to read Forgotten Truth for an honest review and I was so pleased to be asked. I loved this book.

The book is about Bryer Reid and her life and the way she has been treated in life. I loved Bryer; she has been mistreated and had so much heartache that all you can do is to feel for her. She is intelligent, beautiful and deserves more.

Bryer decides she deserves a new life a fresh start so to speak, she decides she wants a new job, new routine, everything new, after all her old life didn’t give her much hope especially after finding her ex fiancé in bed with another woman

Bryer’s best friend encourages her to go to a personal trainer; the only thing is that Bryer knows all too well the reputation of Nathan the trainer. He is sexy, hot but such a player and there is no way she wants to get involved with someone like that again.

The problem though is that Bryer is so attracted to Nathan that it is frightening. Could he possibly be boyfriend material, could she really have a relationship with this man?

Nathan has his issues as well, he has a lot of problems that he is reluctant to address, in the same way that Bryer does not want to deal with her issues, Nathan has just ignored his for so long he can’t see yet what he needs to do to address the problems before he can even move on with his life or his relationship. It is hard for Bryer to sit back and watch the man she is falling in love with suffer she needs to help him through everything and be there to support and comfort him.

This book is beautifully written and is such a page turner that you can’t help but keep reading.

Full of insight but intrigue, love, drama, emotion.

A joy to read that I want more.

Such a great book for this first time author.

I was given a copy of this book from the author for an honest review. I don’t really know what I was expecting going into this story but what I got literally blew me away.

I wasn’t convinced I was going to enjoy this one in the beginning, there were a few instances where Nathan was very stiff and it didn’t mesh with the character that was being portrayed.

There were some really good twists and turns in this one and i have to say the book kept my attention the whole way through.

Nathan was the ultimate playboy when we are first introduced to him in the story, he wasn’t for settling down but that all changed when he got together with Bryer. I liked Nathan for the most part, he could be so sweet and funny at times but then others so completely serious you never really knew which one he was going to be. I loved the relationship he had with his uncle Mac, that man had some great philosophies.

Bryer has some trust issues and I could totally understand that, I think she was totally justified with the problems she had with Camilla. She was quite a fun character, I loved the banter she had with her work colleagues they were so much fun.

Bryer's bestie Gen or as she called her Tumbalina was always there for her and I’m hoping she will be getting her own story maybe with Clayton? I think the two of them would be amazing together and i would love to see Clayton knocked down a peg or two.

For Nathan James and Bryer Ried the past is their enemy, and they have to overcome it before they can move forward.
When Bryer was wounded by the man she loved she ran, as far and as fast as possible, and started a new life. Now that she's got her life on track, life has thrown in a hot sex God to stir things up. She knows she wants Nathan, but she's not sure she's willing to risk her heart again on a man who clearly only does casual.
Nathans has always done casual, never wanting more than that from any woman, then Bryer walked into his life. He's never felt the way he does about her, he's finding himself wanting more with her. His past still haunts his dreams leaving him feeling vulnerable and wanting answers. The secrets he uncovers have the ability to break him without the support of Bryer.

I'm completely in love with this new author! She started this book out with a bang and never let up until the very end. She gave me a hot sex God with an independent sexy woman, who could ask for more out of a romance. It's not often I don't figure out the secret before the end of the book but Virginia was able to keep me guessing, any author that can do that with me is instantly on my to-be-read list for life! Add her to your favorites, one-click this sucker, sit back, and enjoy the ride because you won't be disappointed.

3.5-4 stars. Bryer Reid has a crush on her personal trainer, Nathan James. She hasn't had much luck with relationships and the last major one she had shattered her trust in men. Nathan is charming, seductive, serious and confident. He's also not someone who ties himself to women so even though he's very attracted to Bryer, he knows she's a commitment type of girl. But Bryer decides to kick it up a notch and take control of the situation by asking Nathan out and he agrees. From there, they start to spend time outside of the gym and really get to know each other.

I liked Nathan and Bryer overall, they had great chemistry. It was interesting to see them both push themselves out of their comfort zones. Nathan wanted to romance Bryer rather than bed her and Bryer was not afraid to ask for what she wanted. There are other complicating matters, though, like Nathan's past that he has to reconcile and Bryer's past that she hasn't quite faced head-on. Also, a bit of suspense is thrown in, too, with surprises unraveling along the way.

This is a good debut novel and storyline, but I had a hard time connecting with both Bryer and Nathan. However, I enjoyed seeing them develop as characters and am interested to see what happens next after that ending.

Forgotten Truth is the first book in the Forgotten series by Virginia Wine. I have read quite a few books by Virginia Wine and have enjoyed her stories and the way she develops her plots.
The premise of this story was really intriguing, so it was an easy choice to snap up a copy and explore the story. I loved the storyline and all the suspenseful dramatic developments that Ms. Wine was able to create. There is quite a lot going on in this book, from intrigue, danger, action, suspense, a little mystery, tension, drama, chemistry, and of course plenty of sizzle.
Ms. Wine has created a complex story with cleverly crafted elements which kept me reading even though I couldn’t connect with the characters at all for most of the story. I can’t really pinpoint why exactly, except that I felt they were a little underdeveloped and came across a little flat to me. But the storyline kept me reading, and by the end I had grown to appreciate them more, but still wasn’t completely invested in them.
I am intrigued enough by the plot to want to read the next book/s- so I plan on doing a reread of this book again, before diving into the other two books- just in case I was having an ‘off’ reading day during this story.

Thank you, Virginia Wine!

5 Nightmares

Bryer has started her life over after finding her fiance in bed with another woman. Now she has a new job, a new home, and a super hot personal trainer. Nathan is a one night and leave them kind of guy. He doesn't do relationships. He has never wanted more with any woman until he started training Bryer. She is innocent. There is just something about her that has him wanting more. Not wanting to scare her off, he decides to take things slow. For someone who has never been involved, Nathan has the romance part down to a science.
This book is a romance mystery. As we watch the relationship of these two unfold we find out that there is something in Nathan’s past that has him having nightmares almost every night. Reminiscent to Gideon Cross from Sylvia Day’s Crossfire series.
I love how the relationship between Nathan and Bryer grows and how beautifully they compliment each other. Warning this book is part of a series and boy what a cliffhanger.

Forgotten Truth (The Forgotten Series Book 1) by Virginia Wine

Forgotten Truth is Virginia Wine’s first novel, a contemporary novel that captures all we desire from a modern romance with a dash of angst that we readers crave.

Virginia offers a refreshing penmanship as she leads us into the world of Nathan and Bryer, two characters that are immediately likeable. Out of heartbreak comes hope, out of the extremes of cruelty comes the promise of retribution.

This is a story of the beginning of true love. Can our protagonists stay strong and fight those who circle them with no other intention but to destroy them and what they have, or can Bryer and Nathan see past their pain and move forward to the kind of life they both deserve?

This is a stellar book from Virginia Wine, an author who is brave enough to ‘go where the pain is’ and tell this refreshing story of what we are capable when we let our hearts soar. - Author Vanessa Fewings

Hooked from the beginning! I absolutely loved & devoured this book! The prologue had me hooked, I have been in that situation myself and am always curious to see how things turn out for others.
Bryer is starting over in a new place with a new job after catching her fiancée in bed with someone that wasn't her! We don't get all the details but it seems she is hiding from her ex now. She is doing well for herself and finds herself attracted to her hot, sexy, & built personal trainer! Nathan is every woman's fantasy and he definitely uses that to his advantage. Yet, he is captivated by Bryer and knows she is different and deserves more. Sparks fly between them and as they grow closer and embark on a their relationship, learning about each other in every way, Nathan finds out more about himself then he ever imagined! The suspense will have you on the edge of your seat flipping through the pages!!!
This was an amazing read that ended on a cliffhanger and I am more than ready to devour the next book! Great job Virginia Wine!!!

This is the First of Virginia Wine's. Byrer had her heart broken when she found her man in bed with another women. She deiced she needed a new live. Wanted to start over. She got herself a new job, joined a gym and has the very hot personal trainer. She finds herself very attracted to him and he to her. Nathan though is not a relationship kind of man. He is a love em and leave type but there was just something about Bryer that intrigued him. He wanted to know more about her. Both Bryer and Nathan had a past that haunted them in different ways. Bryer knew what kind of a man Nathan was so he knew he had to handle her careful if he wanted to get to know her, and work through the demons from his past was well as hers.

The chemistry between the two is undeniable but will they survive the their past demons.

There is a great story here and I look forward to the next book to find out what is next.

Book Review For( Forgotten Truth)By Virginia Wine Wow what a amazing book I really didn't know what to expect. I was captivated right from the start what to the end. Bryer Reid didn't trust easily after what her ex-boyfriend Cash did to her. But she was willing to give it a try. Nathan was a playboy who was sinfully sexy, handsome, and was totally off limits, because he was the bad boy personified and Bryer's trainer .Bryer was finding it hard to keep her eyes off of Nathan more all the time. Both of these characters were written so great and is what make this such a sweet story and just show how both of these characters had demons of their own. This book was so full of so much excitement I can't believe how great Virginia Wine can weave such magic like she does. I totally recommend you read this story because you won't be disappointed one bit. Posted publicly as Bella's blog

Forgotten Truth is a debut book that people won't be forgetting easily! This fast paced sweet, sexy love story is a really good start to this series.
I instantly fell in love with Nathan! I mean who wouldn't! He's HOT!!
I struggled with Bryer though, for someone who had her heart-broken I feel she fell in love and trusted again way to easily. I would have loved to have seen more sass from her and a bigger build up to thier relationship, it all happened very quick and lacked angst.
On saying that though, the relationship between the two, once it got going was intense, full of fire and the heat continued to develop well through the story. Making me love Nathan more.
The whole book is fast paced but interesting and Virginia's writing held my attention really well. I would have loved to have had abit more description in places and abit more background information.
Overall, this is a good start to a series and I will definitely be looking out for book two to see what happens!

I was gifted a copy of this book for an honest review. This was a fantastic debut novel. It has a little bit of everything. Hot passion between Nathan and Bryer. Little bit of mystery surrounding Nathan's pesky nightmares. Very little angst due to Nathan's playboy past. And some great supporting characters as well.

I really loved the relationship that developed between Bryer and Nathan. They were so sweet and cute at times. And other times, there were off the charts sexy. Their relationship developed quickly but there was just something about Bryer that made Nathan want to change his playboy ways and think about settling down and the future. I would recommend this book to anyone that loves a great romance novel with very little drama.

There is a little bit of a cliffhanger but it's not too bad. I can patiently wait for the next book.

The title of the book fits the story to perfection. So many twists and turns in this story! I was first drawn in by the hero and heroine, Nathan and Bryer (fantastic name!) and their innate goodness. Nathan is a gym owner and player until he meets Bryer, a successful account executive. She immediately brings out his fierce protective and possessive side. It seems like there's an invisible thread tying these two people together. There's also some serious sexual heat generated in the pages of this book. Nathan and Bryer both have tragic pasts and as the story progresses secrets and truths are revealed that tip their world on its axis. Can't wait for the second book to finish Nathan and Bryer's journey! I love this debut author's voice and can't wait to see more from her.

Virginia Reid did a great job in the development of her characters of Nathan and Bryer. Bryer was introduced by the infidelity of her fiancé Cash. Nathan is a owner/trainer at a local gym. Bryer started over with a new place, job, and routine. Nathan didn't follow his father's wishes but his passion which was the gym.

Bryer met Nathan at the gym as he was her trainer. Bryer is aware of Nathan's past with females. Bryer has reservations over Nathan's intentions. Bryer and Nathan have chemistry.

I enjoyed this story tremendously!! This story had everything I love -romance, intrigue, and mystery. I can't believe a cliffhanger was presented on the last page of the story!! I NEED the next book!! Now!!

When's book two?

Wow this a fast paced, easy to read book with a heroine that finds it hard to trust and Nathan is a playbook hero with issues that you wouldn't even suspect.

But underneath that we have two people who just want to be happy.

Bryer had to start a new life when she left her cheating fiance and Nathan has nightmares every night for reasons unbeknownst to him.

This book is very easy to get into and is quick to read and will leave you wanting more especially after a few twists and turns, not even I saw coming.

This was an awesome read, with just enough twists, suspense and hotness. The author draws you into the with enough curiosity, in the prologue and continues throughout the book. The characters and story are well developed and the sex is well written. Just so you aren't upset this does end with a cliffhanger.

I really liked this read and can't wait for the next one. I just hope it isn't a long wait. I recieved this book for an honest review. I hope you buy, read and enjoy, as much as I did.

Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1)
By Virginia Wine
5 out of 5 stars

I loved reading the story Forgotten Truth Trilogy: Book One (The Forgotten Trilogy 1) by Virginia Wine. It is a story that pulled me in right from the beginning and I was hooked. I loved reading about the characters of Nathaniel James Jr and Bryer Reid. Bryer is a woman who had been betrayed in the past. She is strong and independent however she also finds it hard to trust. She also has a strong attraction to Nathaniel. Nathaniel is a man who doesn’t do relationships. There has been no one that has made him want more than something casual. He finds himself deeply attracted to Bryer. There is both chemistry and wild attraction between Nathaniel and Bryer. They both believe that their feelings are telling them that they belong together. Secrets are being revealed. Will those secrets break Nathaniel or set him free? Will Bryer give Nathaniel her trust? Read this book to find out. This is a story that is at times emotional. It has heartbreaking moments. There are also times of suspense that had me wondering what was going to happen next. There are romantic scenes included. I enjoyed reading about the bantering that goes back and forth between Nathaniel and Bryer. I also enjoyed reading about how the additional characters interacted with Nathaniel and Bryer. Some are good friends and give them advice and support when needed. Don’t miss out on a book that you will not be able to put down until you have read the final page. I highly recommend it.

Forgotten Truth is the first book in the Forgotten Trilogy by Virginia Wine. I first became a fan of Virginia Wine when I read the Surviving Series so was excited to get the chance to start another series of hers. Having now read Forgotten Truth, I can say that this is going to be a fantastic trilogy that I’m going to want to read again.
This story pulled me in from the very beginning and it still hasn’t let me go. I just NEED to read what comes next. Be prepared to be taken on a rollercoaster journey through this book that will drag out every emotion from you.
Nathaniel (Nathan) James runs a gym with his best friend. He’s known as a bit of a player and he has no plans to settle down with one woman. Bryer Reid is one of Nathan’s clients at the gym and looks forward to her one on one session with him on a Saturday morning, even though he tortures her for that hour. Unknown to the other both have had an eye on each other for some time, so when Bryer invites him out for ice cream he jumps at the chance.
I loved Bryer and Nathan’s story. Both have issues from their past and in this story we get a very deep insight into Nathan’s past. Nathan’s story is heartbreaking and very compelling to read and judging by the way we are left at the of this book, I think we might get much more of Bryer’s story in the 2nd book which I can’t wait to read.

Forgotten Truth is a story regarding life and pasts which have been forgotten and tried to forget but will an attraction be enough to take the relationship to the next level.

The story involves Bryer a young women trying to overcome the total betrayal of her ex-partner who she found having an affair, she totally reinvents herself with a new job, new home and possibly a new relationship but went the person you are attracted to is a player will he be able to give her everything she needs and require's to live happily every after.

Nathan has secrets but he is a player. He is definitely a love them and live them person but when Bryer enters the gym he works at he can't get her off his mind. He knows he's the wrong person and possibly can not giver her the relationship that she wants as he does not know how to commit.

I really enjoyed this story, the chemistry of these two characters is off the charts. I love the Bryer character as a intelligent, brave young woman who is not afraid to start over again and try to find what she is looking for. I love how the story takes you on an adventure with these two characters and with each word you discover more and more about them. The writing is brilliant and engaging and can not wait to read more from this author in the future.
