I really don't know where to start with this review. It took 4 books to give a rushed ending to a very fustrating story. Ian and Imani were all over the place! They keep coming back to the love each other but need to be apart because they love each but they should move on.....and around and around it went. The same in each installment. If an author has to keep repeating the same thing over and over, with no resolve, it just doesn't make for a good story......and to break it into 4 books wasn't necessary
3.5 stars - I finished this series because I was invested in the story. I was truly frustrated with the main characters and did not connect with them. Imani made me want to pull my hair out. Ian was a good guy, but he had trouble opening his heart up to Imani for fear of getting crushed again. I really felt bad for him. Imani was very selfish in my opinion. She really only cared how her actions affected herself. Never once did she say, how is Ian feeling about this or what's going on with Ian that he would react that way. When Ian tried to talk to her she shut him out.
I was happy when he walked away from her in the restaurant. He had had enough hurt and pain and for what? Because she was afraid? Come on! Everyone who falls in love is afraid of getting hurt. That's what makes it worth it. I mean, who pines away for a man for years knowing all she has to do is say I love you and I want to work things out to find her happiness, but turns around and avoids it at all costs? Imani needs therapy for real.
You had so much to say in the first and second books, but the last two were rushed and not that good. I really expected more from this one. Instead I got a rushed pile of mess. She just got discharged from the hospital, she walked part way , and then they were talking about sex. I am so angry I spent money on this poop.
I am not a fan of this series. A frustrating read. Not only due to the character’s lack of substance, but the writing style. The character development was poor and the series lacked a defined time line. This made it difficult to determine how much time had passed between major events. As a result I’m left with wondering who’s baby is Imani carrying?
'Tomorrow's End' was an entertaining read. Its page-turning plot was filled with suspense, bits of levity, a tad of action, and romance. This was the fourth and final novella in the series, and the reader finally read about what would become of the protagonists, Imani and Ian.
