A quick read that will have the words painting vivid images in your minds eye and leave you with goosebumps all over. We’re right alongside Ingrid as she runs and tries to hide from what she just witnessed happen. I don’t want to give anything away because it’s a must read if you’re into horror stories. This was my first read by this author but it most definitely wont be the last. That ending, those last words... left me with the most exciting chills ever.

Wow.. this 5000 word horror grabbed me from the start as we meet Ingrid who has snuck out to meet her friend, ignoring the voice in her head that tells her she shouldn’t go. And when she finds her friend, well, that’s when she REALLY wishes she’d listened to her inner voice. I absolutely loved this, loved how H.G’s descriptions of everything happening enabled to to envisage it all (even though some images i wish i wasn’t able to see) and i could feel Ingrid’s panic too. Fantastic even if it was only short.
This also reminded me of a horror movie where the ending is shown at the start of the film so i definitely would love to read more about Ingrid.

I don’t like scary stories! It drew me in from the very first. I could feel the suspense rise and my breathing started to rapidly increase in speed. It couldn’t end well for Ingrid but I couldn’t stop reading. You know how you sometimes have a dialogue going on in your head "this isn't good", "no, no, no" - Yup, it's all playing in your mind as you read! A very fast paced excellent read. I’ll have to investigate more of H.G. Lynch’s work!

Wow, the imagery in this book was outstanding. I thoroughly enjoyed reading this book. I just started reading this author's work today and I simply cannot get enough of their books. The world building is extreme and highly immersive. Every book I have read by this author is fantastic. I have failed to find one that disappoints me even a tiny bit so far.

I have had the immense pleasure of reading H.G. Lynch work many times, and this short story did not disappoint. It's got murder, suspense, creepiness, it's got that horror vibe it's a extraordinary read!
Ringing the Devils Bell grabbed me from the beginning, I felt like I was right beside Ingrid through the entire story, I wanted to grab her, and shake her, but since I couldn't I had to make due with yelling at her, saying things like no don't do it, go the other way, stop, No, oh crap you did it, not good, abort!!

If you are looking for a extraordinary, awesome, fantastic read pick up Ringing the Devils Bell I promise you will not be disappointed.

I received this book from the author for an honest review.

I was given a copy of this by the author in exchange for an honest review.

This story is short and a little bit scary!
This short story is about a girl who was 8 years old when someone tried to take her life. One day, she knew he'd be back and that day has finally come!
This is the fourth book by H.G. Lynch that i have read so far and i am a huge fan of her writing, as she has managed it again to write this short compelling story, that leaves you with the desire to read more.
I love these short, unassuming stories that are perfect when you aren't looking to commit to a huge series.

Well done! I can't wait to read more of H.G Lynch's work.

A great and gripping short story from a local author I just met recently.
To be able to grab my attention on such a short time is a talent that not many people have. The story grips you from the start and you feel the fear as its your own.
A very good read from an author that I am going to get to know a lot better

Short, creepy, but very descriptive. From the very start you are sucked into this tale, keeping you on the very edge of your seat as Ingrid runs from the ringer of the devils bell. It may not be a long book but it sure packs a punch!
