The second novel by P.J. Leonard, author of the Kickstarter success novel 'Tick'.
Hayato is a young boy who is tired of his little Japanese town's backwards traditions. On the day of the local festival, he decides to shake things up a bit. But when it goes wrong (VERY wrong), he is sent on a quest to right his wrongs. On the way, however, he meets characters who aren't quite what they seem. There may be more to this quest than meets the eye...
Inspired by P.J. Leonard's experiences of living in the deep Japanese countryside for two years, 'Kami' is a story drenched in the flavours, sights and smells of a timeless Japan.
P.J Leonard grew up in Worcester in the UK. He first took an interest in writing in primary school, turning a simple writing project into a 10-page epic, much to the chagrin of the teachers.
He moved to Japan in 2010 and lives there to this day, working in Tokyo by day and writing on packed commuter trains by night.
