Invincible's father, Omni-Man, murdered The Guardians of the Globe to facilitate his attempt to take over Earth... now that he has the opportunity can Invincible stop his father and change the course of history... for the better?
Just good enough to keep me interested. New series for me, never even heard of it till today so I had low expectations. I don't know any of the past storyline so jumping right into the middle of something like this makes it hard to know really whether the story is good or not. I will try to read 2 or 3 more and see if this is time worthy material.
Not sure of what to think, of what seems to be a soft reboot but with a clear direction.. I guess for now I'll give Kirkman the benefit of the doubt...
The quality of this title is consistent. The way Kirkman plays around in the tropes of the superhero genre, while keeping Invincible standing as a story in its own right, is a mark of sustained genius. Proof that comics can continue with creative stories. Each issue I'm reminded of that. There hasn't been one to let me down yet.
