Sprawa Ziętary. Zbrodnia i klęska państwa
1 września 1992 roku. Jarosław Ziętara po raz ostatni żegna się ze swoją dziewczyną i wychodzi ze swojego mieszkania w Poznaniu. Dziennikarz tropiący afery gospodarcze zostaje porwany w drodze do pracy. Do tej pory nie odnaleziono jego ciała, a śledztwo dwukrotnie umarzano. Koledzy Ziętary nie poddali się jednak i po latach doprowadzili do wznowienia postępowania.
Sprawa Ziętary. Zbrodnia i klęska państwa przedstawia nieznane fakty dotyczące destrukcyjnego, przestępczego wpływu tajnych służb na wyjaśnianie zbrodni. Pokazuje bulwersujące tajniki wcześniejszych nieudanych śledztw i kulisy podjętego w 2011 roku postępowania prokuratorskiego. Mówi o zacieraniu śladów i zagadkowych zgonach podejrzanych. Dowodzi, że polskie państwo poniosło klęskę, wykazując swoją bezsilność wobec sprawców i zleceniodawców zbrodni uderzającej w podstawy demokracji. Obarcza państwo współodpowiedzialnością za tę zbrodnię.
Krzysztof M. Kaźmierczak i Piotr Talaga w 2012 roku otrzymali honorowe wyróżnienie „Watergate” Stowarzyszenia Dziennikarzy Polskich za publikacje o sprawie Jarosława Ziętary.

Since this book is authored by two journalists who knew Jarosław Ziętara in person, I was hoping it would provide further insight into his murder case. It did not. In fact, I could not escape the impression that a good half of the book was written for bulk.
From the very get-go, we’re met with unnecessary repetition of facts; the authors state their opinions on each other’s opinions, they draw obvious conclusions, or delve into completely irrelevant matters – like their extensive deliberations on which means of transport they should use to get to Kraków for their witness statements, and which museum they’d visit afterwards.
They often recall how they felt about subsequent hurdles in the criminal investigation (usually disappointed), and how they felt about news of police and penitentiary corruption (usually shocked).
Quite disappointingly, very little space is devoted to presenting the suspected dramatis personae of the murder – we get a skimpy mention here and there; perhaps a brief note: this-and-this was a senator. And this next guy is a criminal. There’s no real attempt of a deep dive, which could help the reader understand the roles those people played in the 1990’s; their criminal background; their connections to the communist Security Service, their involvement in financial crimes, or their contribution to, or knowledge of Ziętara’s murder.
I understand this is a grand undertaking – we’re talking about a few dozen people, including politicians, police officers, convicts and prosecutors. There’s a vast grey area occupied by ex-agents of the Office of State Protection. There were journalists reporting on Ziętara’s “disappearance”, working for newspapers owned by the company “Elektromis” – they very company Ziętara was single-handedly investigating for financial crimes.
Yet, without this undertaking, the book is neither here nor there. The authors weren’t Ziętara’s close friends; I hesitate to call them acquaintances. They certainly didn’t know him well enough to warrant a personal memoir.
As a side note: I wouldn’t normally comment on book design, but this time, I’m making an exception. Photoshopping tape onto Ziętara’s mouth to create a semblance of realism, and slapping that image on the front cover, was tactless to the point of vulgarity. I wouldn’t suspect a tabloid of stooping so low; let alone two people who claim to have known the man.

Naprawdę swietnie poprowadzone śledztwo, książka drobiazgowo opisuje sprawę i jest warta przeczytania przez każdego, kogo interesuje zbrodnia popełniona na Jarku Zietarze.

To przykre, oburzające, przerażające, niestety nieodosobnione zjawisko. Nie dociera - umysł próbuje się bronić, nie daje spać. Tak bardzo wkurza, że aż bezradność wbija w apatię.

August 10, 2025ciężko pisać o takich publikacjach. do historii jarosława ziętary zawsze podchodzę emocjonalnie, pochodził z mojego miasta, łączy nas też wiek oraz zainteresowania.
książka dotyczy przede wszystkim morderstwa, śledztwa, zachowań mediów. kompendium wiedzy na temat każdej kwestii dotykającej zbrodni dokonanej na ziętarze. styl całości może wydawać się dość beznamiętny, ale, moim zdaniem, to celowy zabieg.
