Luc was put in jail when his girlfriend, Claire testified against him. And when he was freed, he found out that she hid their newborn son from him as well. Luc doesn't take lightly to her deception and betrayal, but the last thing he want is to let his boss, Johnny put a bullet to her head.
One big question mark: For money laundering, he only convicted for one year? That seems too light a sentence.
I know everything that Luc did was basically wrong. He kidnapped Claire and their son to keep them safe and treated her like his personal sex toy. But I'm just rooting for him to get his happy family back together again.
I know everything that Claire did was right. She want to get away from her criminal boyfriend and keep her son safe. But I just want her to stop running and trust him for once. Honestly, when I read such book, I'm questioning my own morality and sanity. Why am I always siding the bad guys?
I actually enjoyed the sex scenes. The hate-sex and the forced-sex. There are some D/s, whipping and spanking. Though I enjoyed reading it, I would have prefer some input from the heroine. You know, at least making it more consensual than it is.
Although this is a dark romance, I need more from Luc and Claire. Luc is doing everything that he can to keep Claire with him, but I felt as if Claire is just along for the ride with no choice whatsoever. I wish to see that she actually accept and love Luc on her own freewill.
The most interesting part of the story is the crazy cop, Frank. I can't believe he is such a cray cray character. He had me flipping pages just to see what sort of crazy thing he will do and how will Luc get rid of him.
As for the epilogue, I believe is one year since their marriage. It would be nice to have Luc witnessing their second child arrival, since he miss the first one.

3 star read for me
This was my least favorite of the series. The other 3 books are all pretty dark and gritty which I don't mind up to a point. This book had bondage and domination in it. I don't care for that in books. I felt sort of sick when Luc hit Claire with his belt. She didn't ask him to treat her like that so to me it wasn't consensual. Before he went to prison he never showed this side of himself to her. She did find pleasure from his treatment which I couldn't believe but they did have sex the first time they met so I guess I shouldn't have been surprised. I pretty much got to the point that I had to skim to bypass the sex scenes. The story is well written by the author but this particular book wasn't my cup of tea. No research
This author did not do any research on how the law and justice system actually works. Like how can you force someone to testify against someone who hasn’t even been charged or arrested for anything? And how can CPS take someone’s baby away because a cop said she was an unfit mother? Do some research first.

Once again this author has done it, awesome read. It had drama, hot as hell sex, a possessive alpha that’s sweet in his own way. My only complaint is the story seemed to drag a little more than the previous 2 books.

I received Owned by the Bad Boy by Vanessa Waltz in an ARC in exchange for my honest review. I am giving this book 5 stars because I loved how different this story was from her other Cravotta Crime Family books. I also loved how she made the characters so devoted to each other. Even though Claire put Luc in jail he still loved her and knew he could not live with out her, and as much as Claire tried to fight the love she had for Luc she knew that she could not live with out him either. I just love this Author books no matter what she writes I will read it. Because Vanessa always knows what her readers love to read about, and what makes this book more special is she let us her fans pick what topics we wanted this book to be about. Vanessa Waltz gave us everything we wanted and more in this book. She also includes the other three books in this book too, so if you have not read the other books of the Cravotta Family series then don't bother getting them you could read them all here. I don't want to give to much away about the book. All I want to say is wow where can I get a Luc at lol. If you love books with a gorgeous alpha man, kidnapping, and just one intense love story then you are going to really enjoy this book. So if you have not read this book go buy it now!!!! Thank you Vanessa Waltz for another amazing book and for listening to us and creating a book that we asked for.

A captivating story from the beginning. Hot, kinky and little dark. After spending 12 months in prison Luc is out for sweet revenge but little does he know while he was gone Claire gave birth to his son. Scared and left with no choice she did the unthinkable and sent him to prison never getting a chance to explain why. One thing is for sure when he catches her he’s never letting her go. Storyline is well written, suspenseful, attention holding and sinful hot. Would recommend all four books in the series. Loved it! Received an ARC copy from author for a honest review.

This was my first book to read of the series. The story story of passion and attraction and even included bondage and domination in it. I enjoyed Luc and Claire discovering things about each other in the bedroom, especially since they had a past that didn't involve those things. Now I'm ready to start at the beginning of the series and read it all the way through.

I absolutely loved this book and couldn't put the damn book down! A hot and sexy read that will make sure toes curl and have you panting for more. Hot, emotional... keeps you turning the pages.

This is me randomly reading book.. and this one is actually pretty good.. the Hero is definitely a torn asshole hottie.. the end was a little abrupt and could use more detail but otherwise it was a really sexy and fun read.

I liked this series it was good but this last one was just a tad too dark for me. But if you like that sort of bondage sex then this is for you.

Don't get me wrong, I like my men hot Dominant and Alpha, but there was just something about Luc that rubbed me wrong. I can't really explain without spoilers.

Such a Great Mafia Romance
Yeah this is the end of this particular series of Mafia books by Vanessa Waltz and I really enjoyed this book as well as the whole series. Each book is a standalone story, but at the same time if you read the series from the beginning I think you will enjoy them more. There is a bit of BDSM in this story as well as the others and there is a lot of action and a lot of 🔥 scenes that I am sure you will love ❤️ I know I did. I highly recommend this book 📕
Yeah this is the end of this particular series of Mafia books by Vanessa Waltz and I really enjoyed this book as well as the whole series. Each book is a standalone story, but at the same time if you read the series from the beginning I think you will enjoy them more. I wanted to love this one more. This book has a lot lot of domination in it. There is a lot of sex scenes some of them are super scorching Hot🔥.

Owned by the Bad Boy is the fourth and final novel in the super sexy Cravotta Crime Family Series and believe me when I say, it will totally rock your world! I discovered Vanessa's work a few months ago when I blew through the first three books in this series in one weekend. I completely fell in love with her work and have been hooked ever since!I'm a fan for life! The first three were fabulous but this one is off the charts spectacular. This book contained so much raw power and undeniable emotion, I was completely blown away. We all love a strong, handsome, sexy alpha male lead and love them all the more when they are a badass badboy, right? Panty-melting good looks, built like a tank, sexy as sin, and an alpha male who knows what he wants and isn't afraid to take it! Who in the world can resist that combination??? The story is dark, raw, intense, powerful, exciting, sensual, arousing, erotic, well crafted, interesting and grabbed my attention on the first page. Once I started reading, it was easy to immerse myself in the story and I wanted more. The narrative is exceptionally well written in the first person with alternating his and her points of view, which I love. I would like to add, if you object to mature subject matter including violence, explicit sexual situations or graphic language, then this is probably not the book for you but if you love an exquisitely written crime family romance with a hard edge and filled to the brim with passion, raw emotion, powerful characters, heartbreaking angst, steamy dreamy sex and a wonderfully written happily-ever-after ending, then this is definitely the read for you! This book features Luc De Marco, one of Johnny Cravotta's crime family lieutenants and sassy, spunky private investigator assistant Claire and it features a twist that you'll never see coming. Luc has just done a year in prison for money laundering after his girlfriend of 1 year turned and testified against him. His parents already didn’t like that he’d joined the mafia, but after he was sent to prison, his father had no use for him at all. So he had no one visit him while in prison, since no one in the mob can do that without raising more suspicions. Now that his year is up, he is determined to find his ex-girlfriend and exact his revenge on her for her betrayal.
Claire may have testified against her boyfriend, somewhat under duress, and has regretted it every day since she did it, but she also had a very good reason. She was pregnant and couldn’t bear to have her child born in prison & raised by other people without her until she was released. But now, she is in witness protection and still feels guilty for testifying against not only the man she loved, but the father of her child. And since then, she has had to deal with a pushy, overbearing police man who wants her and her child and has problems taking no for an answer.
With Johnny Cravotta’s resources she was easily found, but not killed like other rats, when her son made a noise and Luc found out that he had a child. Luc no longer is worried about revenge but instead wants his family and wants nothing more than to be a good father to his son. Johnny doesn’t trust her and still wouldn’t mind if she was gone, but that’s Luc’s call, as she is the mother of his child.
Luc is not going to let Claire get away from him again and will do all that’s necessary to keep her in his home, including locking her in there. But he also has plans to marry her and have more babies, and no, she doesn’t really get a choice in the matter, especially if she wants to live and be with her son. Claire realizes that Luc is not the same man he was before he went to prison. He’s hard, untrusting and uncaring. She hates that what she did changed her loving, caring man. But she’s determined to make it up to him and prove herself to him.
One thing I didn’t like about his book was that we didn’t get to see the build-up between Claire & Luc. There was the prologue that showed how they met, but then it jumped to a year later. There were just a couple of flashbacks, but they seemed to happen whenever an explanation was needed. So to me, it felt like the story was insta-love, not like they had had a previous long-term relationship.

Luc no longer is worried about revenge but instead wants his family and wants nothing more than to be a good father to his son. Johnny doesn’t trust her and still wouldn’t mind if she was gone, but that’s Luc’s call, as she is the mother of his child.
Luc is not going to let Claire get away from him again and will do all that’s necessary to keep her in his home, including locking her in there. But he also has plans to marry her and have more babies, and no, she doesn’t really get a choice in the matter, especially if she wants to live and be with her son. Claire realizes that Luc is not the same man he was before he went to prison. He’s hard, untrusting and uncaring. She hates that what she did changed her loving, caring man. But she’s determined to make it up to him and prove herself to him.
One thing I didn’t like about his book was that we didn’t get to see the build-up between Claire & Luc. There was the prologue that showed how they met, but then it jumped to a year later. There were just a couple of flashbacks, but they seemed to happen whenever an explanation was needed. So to me, it felt like the story was insta-love, not like they had had a previous long-term relationship.

Loved it but it felt skipped around, Started as Claire is a part time PI assistance finding out her clients' husband is gambling from their family business in the VIP poker room in a mob run casino in Montreal but got caught by an devil of a sex god Luc, and he basically humiliates her in a room full of men and turns her on, then they go into his office and it cuts out. Starts a new chapter and its a year later, had to read on to find that fact out and she has a new name, baby, and scared Johnny will find her and kill her for ratting Lu and his money launder to the cops, she did have a good reason to turn her sentence on Luc. Then Luc is out and wanting his woman to pay with obedience, yes he is one to be in control always because of what happened to him in prison. His boss wants her dead but he wants revenge even when his has a life changer under the same roof Claire lives under. Luc and Claire will go toe to toe with each other but Luc is a need of control and he will get it no matter what. We do see Johnny a few times as well as his right hand guy? Jack, but not a whole lot. This is another story almost like Jack's with the marriage to make Claire not testify against Luc. Unlike the others we have a obsessed cop with will do anything he can to get Claire as his own and raise her son, no joke this cop is obsessed because Claire looks like his ex wife and he wants to so a do over with her.

I had received this for an honest review. I have been fallen the Cravotta Mafia stories for some time. Have loved each one. Don’t worry if you have not read the others I think this one will work find as a standalone.
I just loved how Claire and Luc met. I don’t thing I will include in this review how they met. I think you should read the book for that. I assure you will find it entertaining and intense.
I love Claire from the get go. She has so much fire. But then her world comes tumbling down. Luc has her helping him do some illegal stuff. Now she is faced with being pregnant and jail. If she does not testify against Luc then she will lose her baby. It does not help along with testifying she has to start putting up with this creepy cop Officer Boucher. Boucher has it bad for Claire and is determined to have her and the baby.
Luc is broken. He changed when he went to prison. He is angry at Claire but he can not help it deep down he still loves her and wants her. He has plan making her pay. He will use her body over and over in way that will scare her and turn her on at the same time. What he was not expecting was to find out that he has a baby. A baby she did not tell him about. This just adds fuel to the fire. Now he remind her over and over that he owns her. She is his and will marry him.
Claire will have some decisions to make. It is very important that she follows her heart and gut and makes the right decision. Luc will have to decide if he can trust Claire again. He will have to face a danger that could destroy everything he wants. Can he protect what is his?

I was lucky enough to get an ARC of this wonderful book from Vanessa Waltz. This is the fourth book in the Cravotta Crime Family series. Luc DeMarco works for Johnny running his Casino which he also uses to launder dirty money through. Claire works for a private investigator & fills in for someone at the casino so she can get pictures of her client's husband gambling. She wasn't expecting Luc to grope her & find her hidden camera in her shirt but he did. The book jumps to a year later we learn after a year of dating & Claire working for him that he gets arrested. Unbeknownst to him Claire also gets arrested after finding out she's pregnant, she is told either testify against him or spend a year in jail. Not wanting to give birth in jail & have her baby taken away she testifies against him & enters Witness Protection. Luc gets out of jail & he is pissed, he has no idea he has a child he only knows that the woman he loved betrayed him & he wants revenge. Johnny tells him he knows where Claire is & he wants her dead, Luc tells him he will handle it. The cop who helped Claire has become obsessed with her & wants her & the baby to move in with him even though Claire wants nothing to do with him. Luc goes to Claire's apartment & as soon as he sees her he has to have her body, after he's done with her & finds out about the baby he kidnaps both of them & brings them back to his house.

This was another hot Cravotta Mafia story—Claire and Luc brought so much electricity and passion to the forefront that my kindle jumped in my hands.
When the story starts, we get to know about Claire and her struggles-why she is at the place she is now-which is good—then we see Luc, who works for the Mafia, and how hard he is looking for his wife—he is at times quite mad, see he has these jealously issues and he doesn’t like other men looking at his lady love. He ended up having to go to jail and serve time due to Claire turning states evidence on her hubby. Luc is MAD over that and he has some plans for her when he finds her but as we read this book we really find the reasons out( she was pregnant and was protecting their sweet baby from harm) and so now that Luc is out after a year, he has found out she gave birth and hid their child…..OH WOW, this alpha jealously male is a turn on and I enjoyed the twists and turns that popped up. I disliked Luc’s bio family but his mafia family is much better to him that his bio family—The ending is super sweet- author Vanessa Waltz just keeps writing these great mafia books with alpha heroes and spirted heroines and I will keep lapping them up. There is something to me about the naughtiness of the couples and the storylines that appeal to me each and every time.
