I normally start a review with the bad about a story then go into the good.
There is absolutely no good whatsoever about this book.
The best I can say is it excruciatingly and horrifically BORING.

There are so many typos, editing errors and punctuation errors that those alone could fill up a novel.

Do not waste your time on this one. If it is on your shelf, trust me, Delete it!

And that is the nicest thing I can say about these books.

Aug 26 - Yep. It was as bad as it had promised to be by the fifth book.

I think the main female character might be bi-polar (now she loves him, now she doesn't trust him, now she believes him, now she hates him...). And alcoholic (there is barely a page where she doesn't have a drink in her hand - or isn't thinking about getting a drink). And just a bit too whiny to be able to be so structured and creative (she pulls of the "impossible event" in two and a half weeks, during which time she's also the maid of honor for another bi-polar friend).
alcohol

And the male character... well... let's just say he's too in touch with his feminine side. And of course he is, since he's written into life by a woman.
queen

Don't even get me started on the story line. It's like putting together three bad romantic comedies and distilling them to obtain the worst of the essence. Jealous ex trying to ruin things? Check. Stalker following the beautiful female character? Check. Terminal illness? Check. Ridiculous ending?
bad reading

And soo many editing mistakes! Words misplaced or misused, repetitions and incongruousness in the story that I just gave up keeping track at one point.
spelling

Aug 24 - Oh. My. God. This bundle is just such a hot mess of a bad story combined with really really reaaaaaaly bad editing and an author's voice that is so last century that I just have to read it through!
And I quote: "My bare flower was at his face and the heat of his mouth made me come up off the bed." End quote. QED
wtf

Although I'm mostly skipping through entire passages of dreamy sparkly romantic reveries from both main characters (of which one is meant to be "an alpha"), I will see it through just to see how much worse it can get. I don't think I have ever read something quite as bad from so many different points of view...
more wtf

Currently on "book 5" (by the way, the "books" are more like extended chapters).

PS - I got this for free on Amazon (when will I learn?)

I really enjoyed this box set of novellas, this is the 2nd sent I’ve read by this author. In this series, Becca is trying to get to Las Vegas to join her friends for a bachelorette weekend party. Work obligation caused her to push back her flight and now she’s stuck on standby desperate to get on to her friends.

Chance, is on his way to Las Vegas for business, just broke up with his long term girlfriend and now has an extra first class ticket. He spots Becca that the ticket counter and over hears her dilemma, Chance asks to stay anonymous about giving Becca the ticket to get on the flight. Although, during the flight one of the flight attendants spills the beans. There is an instant attraction between them and they have a great time talking on the flight and then a ride to the hotel. It turns out that they are staying at the same hotel.

A few books later, Chance admits that he is the sole heir to the Vaughn hotel/casino empire. Becca and her friends had long figured out that he was wealthy enough to live a means beyond any one of them but none of them had guessed who he was. It’s not until after Becca and Chance run into each other at the restaurant opening that she discovers the truth.

Throughout the book, the common thread is fate keeps putting them in the same place. Whether it be at the airport, hotel, restaurant, or in the middle of the street, situations just keep throwing these two together. There were a few weaknesses throughout the book. There were communication/time gaps that didn’t flow. There was also Becca’s stalker, this could have been played out more in depth and Chance never told her about seeing him outside her place. But overall the books stayed on point and made for an enjoyable read.

I enjoyed this read, you have two people who meet from circumstances and then the writer continues giving segments of what happens in different chapters.....feelings, circumstances, misconstrued visuals keep the plot of this story continuing....wouldn't you enjoy having a chance encounter with a person of the opposite sex....one who seems to make all your heart strings strum continuously. There is always someone in the background who wants to throw a damper on something good. This story takes you back and forth from New York to Vegas, two great cities...who would have thought love, tears, joy, heartache could continually happen for the same two people?

There are some grammar and typing errors throughout this story...

The stories and well written with characters that you can’t help but root for.

Who types your book ?

I had hoped to really enjoy this series. However the amount of mistyped

words was over the top. While the story lines we good, the errors were

abundant and it impacted my enjoyment of this series

Ugh

So poorly written, choppy, unedited. I slogged through it only because I forced myself to finish it. Don’t bother. It was a mish mosh of other stories and it had potential but was ruined by the sloppy writing.

I loved it!

It was a good series although whoever edited needs to look closer.

I do own a lot of Ellie's books and this is as good as the others if you ignore the grammatical errors!

Sorry!

Easy read

Great novella. Other than a lot of typos, I enjoyed it. The ending seemed a little rushed. Needed a little more spunk.

Cute read

It was a very sweet book, not too much drama but enough to keep you interested. If you are looking for something cute this is it.

Amazing. Simple yet beautiful.

Definitely worth reading! I'm amazed by the simplistic beauty of this series. The smallest of coincidences and signs we all tend to miss create a map we tend to ignore. The author does a wonderful job incorporating this.

It will make your heart melt, fill you with love and hope then out of nowhere find yourself falling, crashing until your heart is broken in a million pieces. Not just once not twice...In the end, you will come to realize what the real prize is...the real gift of life is love, family and hard work.

GREAT!

I chose this rating because this was a great series. I really enjoyed these books. I was so disappointed that Becca believed what that TRICK Sara said about her and Chance being engaged. I was oh so happy that Chance didn't end up back with her. I was happy, Happy, happy Becca and Chance finally ended up together. I was glad he showed up at her best friend wedding for her. Great books. I recommend this series to all romance readers.

Confusing!

Great idea for a story, but poor execution. Lots of different plots wrapped up by confusing insinuations instead of fleshed out explanations. Nice guys to stalkers, ex's with some secret control over the father, sudden terminal illness, volatile friend relationships, just a plot jumping in too many directions with unsatisfactory results. Also some of the worst editing I have ever seen. Words left out or replaced by ones that didn't fit---shame!

Not a bad story. There was so many grammatical mistakes. I hate having to reread lines just to try to see what the author was trying to say.
And that fact that they left you hanging on story lines. For instance Chance and Sarah. What did Howard mean about Sarah. What happened to Howard after the opening?. So many questions.

Love, partying and crossed wires

Not a bad boxset! I enjoyed the storyline. I liked the characters! There were a few crossed wires. Seriously some were just a bit of common sense to work out!
There is a lot of grammar and spelling mistakes and wrong or missing words in this book, which frustrated me to no end! It did take away from the book a bit too. It seriously needs a overhaul in the editing department!

Not for me.

An OK read. I am not a fan of books where man/woman are pushing & keep pushing each other away. Not a lot of communication between this couple. Yes, immature communication at best. Don't get me wrong, I appreciate a little friction between couples just not a fan of dragging it out. This alpha could not make any alpha decisions......just not enough of an alpha for me!

Okay read

It is a good thing that this is the whole series as it really is only one book split into episodes. I found it a little boring with no real substance to the plot. A few things were not fully gone into such as Howards relationship with Sara, also the chemistry between Becca and Chance just did not come over in the writing.

Chance

This series is definitely worth taking a chance on. It's a great story from start to finish. I love how the story starts with a bachelorette party in Vegas. Really how can a story be bad with that setting. I am glad I waited and got the box set. This is definitely a great read.

Fix the Typos!

My gosh, the typos drove me insane. I'm for hire Ellie!
This story was pretty standard. I would never purchase this boxed set with cliff hangers separately, this set should be one book.
This set focusses on a man trying very hard to please his dad...it took a lot but he succeeded.

This was the first book I have read by this author. Sadly to say it was just okay. I was so distracted by all the grammatical errors it was difficult to enjoy the book. And I am by no means an expert in grammar. My two high school boys could have done a better job at editing this book. On the bright side this was on Kindle Unlimited, so at least I didn't waste any money.
