Rate this book
A Christmas Marriage of Raised in an orphanage, Tallie Duncan hadn’t known love since she was a young child. When she secured a position as a nanny to two rambunctious boys, she loved them as her own, and they filled a void left by a life of tragedy. But when their mother discovered Tallie’s secret, her position was immediately terminated. She found herself on the streets, in a town and land about which she knew nothing. Jeremiah Scott was returning to Weatherton, Wyoming after a six-year absence. Now that both of his parents had passed, he planned to renew the family ranch he’d left after his father’s death. While in Cheyenne, arranging business deals and outfitting his ranch, he decided to find an impromptu bride. But when the bride was more than he bargained for, will it destroy his plans for marriage? A sweet romance for Christmas or year-round, set in late nineteenth century Wyoming. Whiter Than Snow by Leah Atwood is a wonderful second chance romance. Tallie moves West as a nanny only to be terminated shortly after their arrival. Jeremiah is returning to his family ranch after six years and has felt a burden for a wife to share this life. He seeks help from a local matchmaker but has a short time frame for his request. This story was a great reminder that God has a plan for our lives that is more than we can imagine for ourselves.

A Short, Sweet Romance

This story was short, but the characters, plot, and setting were all well done. I could picture the scenes well and put myself in the setting. The characters seemed relatable to me and though many readers might find the hero unbelievable, I found his choices to be both noble and something worth emulating. This was a sweet, easy-to-read story which I would recommend to anyone who loves historical, inspirational romance.

FORGIVENESS AND GRACE
What an inspiring story with a great cast of characters and heartwarming dialog. This is a great addition to the Bride of Weatherton series. It has a wonderful message to remind us that we all have our sins and that with God sin is a sin, not black, white or gray. Forgiveness and casting that sin as far as the east is to the west is God’s way, and should be man's too. Tallie Duncan has had a very hard and sad life, losing her parents at the age of 7, becoming an orphan, then falling for one of the young men and planning to marry and he is killed in an accident. Working as a nanny for a bitter self-righteous woman who fires her and leaves her stranded, but God’s timing is perfect. Jeremiah Scott is hoping to find a bride, but his timeframe is only ten days. Can Jeremiah and Tallie find happiness? Is he a man who can look beyond her past and together make a future? Christmas miracles equal a lifetime of happiness.

Short and Sweet

This story about making mistakes, but being given a chance to move past them is a big part of what the spirit of Christ is all about...fitting for a story told at the time of celebrating His birth. Judging almost cost one man, and did result in a family's loss, but accepting gained much for so many more. A sweet romance with an inspirational message.

A well written story of second chances

I wish this story was longer as I enjoyed the characters and the relationship of the couple. The plot was interesting. I understand the author desired to have the story be about second chances and hope, but I don't remember reading that it would be a very religious story. Still it was a hood read.

Whiter than snow

Another good, short and sweet book by Leah Atwood. Tallie had made a mistake by allowing her fiance, Gil, to take advantage of her, but finds that God can work out things better than she could have expected.

I'm a sucker for good endings

I'm a sucker for good endings. Read this last instead of third, did not matter that I knew the outcome. It was a lovely theme.
