A delightful treat...Ethan Harper has the patience of a saint when dealing with Sofia...but he was DEFINITELY the right guy for her...he knew her better than she knew herself...it's a SWEET endearing read...ENJOYED catching up with the Harper Clan and their significant others...looking forward to reading about Daniel, Isaiah and the rest of the people residing in Journey's End.

Happy or secure

Sofia had a lot to learn and her and Ethan's journey to happily ever after was not an easy one. He saw what he wanted though and went after her like only an alpha would do. He did not let her flush Ness get in her way or his. He was strong enough to combat her hard life perceptions and strong enough to know when he needed to ease off and take care of himself ad well. His eyes and heart became the best mirror for Sofia to see who she could be and to know that happiness and love gave you peace of.mind and security that a wealthy man never could. She grew to love herself the way Ethan loved her and then to love him the way he deserved.

Better and better!

Each story gets better and better. From the moment Ethan showed up to landscape her and her current boyfriend's yards to the subsequent breakup with said boyfriend to a tenuous love life blossoming between them Sofia and Ethan. So through much starts and stops with Sofia finally finding her true self and discovering she did not have to live life continually trying to run from the poverty of her childhood or choosing a love interest because he has ah correction, had the dollars to give her the lifestyle her mother convinced her she wanted and needed Sofia finally realized it is Ethan she truly loved and wants. Sofia also changed careers to one she was great at and also made her happy instead of chasing a job because of the money again her mother had convinced her she needed to be happy. Can't wait to read Daniel and Zoya's story to bring the Harper brothers and their love lives almost full circle! Where is Isaiah's story? I enjoyed this story immensely!!!!!

A blessing when you least expect it

Ethan is a hard working man who knew heartache and heartbreak. He had returned to his home in Journey's End and was pursuing his dream using his hands. Sofia Abatte is a self absorbed woman who was a surviving member of a family that only knew lack. She had hooked up with a former football player that was a player on a lot of levels. She met Ethan as her expensive SUV was being repossessed. Ethan saw her beneath the outside stuff. He wanted to show her the beauty within. Their journey has bumps and bruises but is there a rainbow after the storm? Great read..love this family of Harper's..

Love this series

I started reading the Billionaires of Journeys End first and the characters were so intriguing I had to go back to where it all began. I can put it down. I’m starting #4 in the series in just a few then I’ll read #5. I highly recommend these HEA’s. The epilogues just suck you right into the next novel. I love them.

Nice Read!

I really enjoyed reading this book and I know others will too! I loved the chemistry between Ethan and Sofia! It was on fire even tho Sofia was in denial, things have a way of turning around! I would have liked to know how Sofia's mom feels about her ending up with the landscaper after 5 years later. I definitely recommend this book to others!

Those Harpers!

This author quickly became a favorite to read. Her analogies have me rolling on the floor. She has done it again, those fiery Harper's with different personalities. Journey's End seems like a delightful place to reside. Ethan continued to feed Sofia just as he would cultivate and feed plants. Another charming book in this series, anticipating the next books.

It took me a little while to really get into this. I was kind of on the fence about Sofia through most of the book. But I love when Ethan finally told her like it is and the dose of reality she got from other characters following this. Overall I like where the story went.

FULL REVIEW POSTED BELOW:

On Fire by Ann Christopher is the third installment in the author’s Journey’s End series and follows Ethan Harper, and Reeve’s best friend, Sofia Abbate.

Due to a rough upbringing, money was extremely important to Sofia. She wanted to make a lot of it and her partner needed to have quite a bit of it too. She loved expensive things and made no excuses for it. Ethan was the exact opposite. Having made a lot of money in his past career, he knew that money wasn’t everything. It destroyed his marriage and almost destroyed his health. He is content with the life he has now and loves the “simple life” with his landscaping business. He may not have the money Sofia initially craved, but he has everything else that would make him the perfect man for her.

Ethan is there when Sofia’s life starts to fall apart. Seeing what Sofia values as important, he knows he shouldn’t entertain the attraction he feels. His mind tells him one thing, but his heart says another. Despite their differences, he knows she’s perfect for him. The challenge proves to be convincing Sofia of that. Will she smarten up and realize that money doesn’t equate happiness before it’s too late?

This was another story of love at first sight, at least in Ethan’s case. He was in lust the moment he met her and that quickly turned into love. One thing’s for sure, the Harper men surely fall fast!

On Fire is a story about finding out what truly makes you happy.

I am torn about the length of this novel. On one hand, it was very short read at 180 pages and honestly read like a novella. However, there were points in the book that I felt were repetitive that could have been taken out. How many times were Sofia and Ethan going to disagree about the importance money plays in one’s life? He was less than enthused about her views and she initially didn’t budge about the matter. A good 20 or 30 pages were filled with that, in my opinion, and could have been removed. I like a good back and forth as much as anyone but after a while, Sofia started to work my nerves just a bit.

I will say, however, that On Fire did give me the back story that I had craved with the previous book, Let’s Do It. We met Ethan’s parents, learned more about their business, and was introduced to the other two Harper brothers. (Something tells me that Daniel and Isaiah will have the most interesting stories!) Same thing goes for Sofia; we learned quite a bit about her past and it really helped to identify with the woman she was, as shallow as she came across at times. A major problem I had with Let’s Do It was rectified in this book so I am pleased.

Fans of the Harper family will like On Fire and since I’ve read the last two, it’s pretty safe to assume that I am invested. I’ll definitely be checking out the next books and I am interested to see how Zoya and Daniel’s story unfolds.

Anybody know how to get to Journey's End? I need to know, cause I'm loving those Harper brothers!

Poor Ethan! He was a goner as soon as he saw Sofia - despite her less than perfect appearance...and her unfortunate situation. He couldn't seem to help himself around Sofia, which made him so adorable.

After meeting Sofia in the previous book, I wasn't sure if I would like her. She was materialistic and high-maintenance, and not very likable, which is usually a turn off for me, but I changed my mind quickly after re-reading that scene in this book. I did want to shake her several times, though, to help her get her mind right. Toby and Sofia's mama were both just...ugh! Despicable. Both of them.

Love, love, love the Epilogues and how they bring us up-to-date with the couple, and also let us know whose story is up next. I'm hoping that since we keep being teased with Sean Baldwin, he's going to have his own story at some point. Also hoping to get an update on Dr. Jerry (hook that man up, please!). I felt so bad for him! He seemed like such a sweetie.

Another enjoyable visit to Journey's End. So many good little things in this one. Looking forward to Daniel and Zoya's story!

Ann Christopher does it again

Ethan's...one Word....wooooo hoo...ok two words. Sofia...all the misconceptions Many woman have looking for Mr. Right. He is honest, persistant and real. She is confused, damaged and hurt. And then to that add love. Great story.
A recommend read

Ethan Gets The Girl

Ethan, dissolutioned and wary after a hurtful divorce, is not looking for anything - company, companionship or love! Isn't it amazing how he finds all of this and fights hard to keep it?

I Like It

This Book is how they all ought to the be..ore twists a d tour s to develop the characters to fertilisers potential. The ebbs and flows of life in the context of falling in love, managing foamy, personal all demo s and fears makes for a more realistic romance story in the long run. I thoroughly e joyed the extent sex storylines of this book. I have an even richer sense of the characters and "who they are and how they be". I really enjoyed the book.
