This was my first book by this author and I must say her pedigree shone through, this was a superbly well written book that laid waste to my ability to actually put a book down.
Both of the lead characters were engaging and their story was one that completely held me captive. The story never stood still, it bobbed and weaved its way through their lives and just when it seems as if I had a handle on what exactly was going on, the author took the story off on a tangent that I hadn’t expected.
I loved the zest for life that both Devlin and Tanner exhibited, the chemistry between them was easy on the eye, it was understandable and its evolvement was handled with care and consideration.
I liked that Tanner was a strong woman, she was resolute in her determination to make the changes that she needed too and despite the element of angst that was injected into the story with the unpredictability of her ex, I was proud of the fact that she wasn’t prepared to relive her past mistakes.
When it comes to Devlin, he was hard not to fall a little in love with, he had his limitations, in as much as he was physically inexperienced but that didn’t define him, he knew what he was underneath the surface and he was more than able to flex his perfectly alpha muscles.
Together they gave me a couple that I enjoyed reading about, that I cared about and that I was rooting for from almost the very start.
The author produced a strong book, she wove a contemporary story and studded it with just enough twists and turns to catch the reader unawares.

This is a gripping story of a former Prostitute desperately trying to get away from her past and create a better life for herself. Everything is on track until one fateful night. She is forced to work for her ex Pimp. The man she meets is no ordinary John. His name is Devlin and he is a Duke in hiding. Soon she finds herself helping him escape his past while trying to escape hers AND keep them both safe from her jealous Ex boyfriend/ pimp. Devlin in turn tries to keep her safe too, but he could loose his title and fortune if his family finds out she is a former prostitute!
From the very beginning the reader is thrown into two different worlds and at every turn there is danger, intrigue and suspense. Will they escape the lethal ex boyfriend? Will his family find out about her? Will Tanner leave Devlin as soon as she is safe? Will Devlin let her go? Thrown into the middle of this is a whole cast of other characters that in turn provide more problems that they have to find solutions for.
Sylvia Hubbard is truly gifted in the seamless flow from one nail biting scene to the other. The story is realistic, educational and highly entertaining. I give it 4½ Stars.

Good Read
Overall this was yet another good read from Ms. Hubbard as always I am a fan of her writing style and how you fall in love with the characters. I knew at some point one or two of the characters from the other books would be pulled i simply love that.

Couldn't put this book down!
Tanner's Devil is a suspense filled action packed romance novel that will force you to loose sleep to finish. The characters are colorful and full of life which just makes you want more. There is never a dull moment in this novel. As soon as you think you know the direction of the plot, everything changes.
If you love suspense and steamy romance, This is a great book for a affordable price. You won't be disappointed.

You can be sure you'll be more than entertained every time you choose to read a Sylvia Hubbard book and I took my time reading this one so I could savor it after all I had waited a long time to read it and let me say it lived up to my expectations. It's so worth reading. It needs a bit of editing but still very enjoyable.
