Kester Ranch Cowboy #1

Roping the Cowboy

Rate this book
Environmental Engineer Darby Brewster needs Kester Ranch to gain the coveted position of Vice President of Brewster Oil, and her father's approval. She's worked hard to get where she is, and she refuses to allow a cowboy, as good looking as he is, or the cute boy that comes with him, to derail her climb up the corporate ladder. But a woman could dream about having it all, couldn't she?

Rancher Fargo Kester doesn't appreciate Darby's repeated attempts to persuade his family to allow an oil drilling rig on their property, but that doesn't stop him from speculating on her other…qualities. Like how much his son adores her, or how well she blends into life on the ranch. He doesn't have time for romance, though, not since his dad died three months ago leaving him responsible for his family’s livelihood. Nor the inclination. Jayce’s mother destroyed all trace of hope for that.

Can Fargo convince Darby that the ranch needs her more than a rusty old drill? That he needs her? Could she embrace a quiet life on the ranch and fuse her love for the cowboy with the career of her dreams?

Sweet romance that sizzles!

A Delightful & Sweet Romance
The Kester family is dead-set against allowing any oil company drilling rights on their ranch. Darby Brewster is on a mission to get those drilling rights for her father's company. A recipe for disaster...except Darby didn't bargain on Fargo Kester, the gallant cowboy running the ranch since his father's death. Fargo is leery of Darby, wanting to protect his heart and his son. Yet he can't stop the attraction he feels for her. Still, Darby is a city girl and Fargo has vowed never to remarry unless the woman he loves also loves his ranch. How will they work it all out? In the most enjoyable journey any romance reader could ask for!

A very sweet read. Darcy attends a retreat at Kester Ranch with the hopes of getting a contract for putting an oil rig on their property. Only one problem. Fargo is adamant about staying with his father's answer. No! What's a girl to do? After hearing Fargo's reasons, she's in agreement, but her father has other plans.

The story was very romantic. It was also emotion filled as we learn of the happy and sad state of life on Kester Ranch. Love Fargo's son, Jayce. He's a real sweetheart and fun loving.

I really enjoyed this sweet, clean story. Looking forward to the next book in the series!

“Roping the Cowboy”(Kester Ranch Cowboys Book1)

I realized after I started this book I’d been reading the series in the wrong order! Now,reading the first book after a few,I wondered how it would compare to those written after it.I shouldn’t have worried, this was the same good writing I’d experienced from the author before.Talk about an up and down book, this had as many lows as highs, going from a workaholic trying to please her father to a rancher with a son trying not to get involved in any romantic relationship. But you end up being friends with these people and wishing you could be there,to experience the great night sky with all it’s stars and the vastness of the ranch. It’s good to let your imagination go there for awhile, letting you forget the everyday stress and just be!
I hope you will read this and get away in your imagination for just a little while.I think you’d like it.

Darby and Fargo 💕

Wow! What a romance! I'm a firm believer in love at first sight, and these two polar opposites definitely had that! I loved the imagery of the ranch life...Darby realized she was craving the peace and contentment of ranch life and questioned her crazy, high powered job in a big city. Fargo thought he would only want a Suzy homemaker for a future wife. Will he get his wish?

I loved Jayce! What a sweet kid.

Looking forward to Maverick's story next!

Roping the Cowboy

Darby is at a retreat on the Kester Ranch when she ambles down a drive that leads to Fargo and his son’s house. She has been sent on this retreat by her father to get the Kester’s to sign off on an oil rig being placed on their land. She didn’t mean to fall in love with the Kester son running the ranch. This is an enjoyable story of trust and family.

Darby and Fargo meet and immediately make assumptions, but spending a bit of time together changes their minds.

But there is more than romance going on here. This is story about family and priorities... and a bit about forgiveness.

This is not a Christian story, but it is clean.

I loved how the book showed the real struggles families have and the grieving process. I can’t wait for the next book in the series.

A romantic tale to curl up with! For those looking for a sweet n clean romance, this is borderline (there is heavy kissing and characters' thoughts on sexual attraction) - but there are no steamy romp scenes, which made it more enjoyable for me. Tori used well-developed characters with depth of emotions and self-control that pleasantly unravelled as the story gripped me!
