Timing is everything; but, for Jade, Angel’s timing couldn’t be worse. Pregnant and with the weight of the world on her shoulders, Jade does something she swore she’d never do—that was before she needed Nathan. Whether she can trust him, or not, is another issue.
Jade had thought Nathan’s games were bad, but Angel’s are so much more than she’d ever imagined. Angel is prepared to do the unthinkable, to draw Jade out. The only question is—how many lives will be lost this time?
This was a good ending to the series. It leaves space for a sequel series, if the author ever feels like it, but it's not a cliffhanger. The way Angel is dealt with is pretty fitting and I liked it. That being said, some of the issues plaguing this series continued; spelling and grammar (comma instead of coma, speech marks in the wrong places etc), poor pacing of the novel and lack of characterisation. Though some attempt to make Lucas, Nikki, Dave, and Kai more likeable, many of them still fell flat. Truthfully I preferred Nathan in this novel to half of the Next Gens in this series. Gemma's father (John?) was pretty much non-existent except for two chapters and Georgia was just used as a way to show that Jade wasn't a Mary Sue-esque character. It would have been interesting to see more of Grace, but considering that she had such a small part of the novel, it was pretty much impossible.
Besides the fact that during parts of Book 6 & 7, everything seemed to drag out, which, by the way, wasn't actually a bad thing, this entire series was so engagingly breathtaking that I HAD to buy the rest of the series and read them before I could even consider flipping through my list of books, let alone opening one. I know; run on sentence, but I couldn't help myself. This truly is a series not to be missed. No matter your preferred genre or author, EVERYONE needs to read these books. While Jade is still too young to have matured that fast in the timeline, I can see how it happened. Aiden is almost too good to be true. Lucas is great. Cheslea is the best friend everyone should have. And Georgia is priceless. These characters are so well thought out and real, you wonder when this storyline will happen in real life. Happy reading!
The tension between Angel and Jade has been building up from the beginning of the story until almost towards the end of the book. Where the two of them finally meet up and begin the long-awaited fight. But, the fight scene is immediately over in just a few pages, which is a letdown.
Nevertheless, the conclusion is as expected, and I'm pleased with the outcome! Everybody deserves happiness; I wish the same goes with Georgia, but never mind, I can live without knowing her ending 😆.
Overall, if you're looking for a quick read, contains fun, great friendship, hatred, love, jealously, great superpower, this book is excellent for you. Also, if you enjoyed this series as much as I did, go ahead and read Jane Doe, which is another compilation novella that is related to this Evolution series.
Jade was able to do something that ways amazing and shocked all her family, but once she explained what and why she did what she did everyone was onboard to get their lives back to normal for Next Gens. She also got to hold her baby girl before she had to fight her twin sister. I am so pleased when how Kelly handle to fight between the sisters and the way it didn't go and you would have figured it would. Grace is one special little girl indeed and I hope that Kelly Carrero will write more about the family so we can learn just want it is that toddler Grace can do and what new abilities Jade has. The series is beautiful written and keeps you wanting more.
Wow, that was not what I was expecting. What a wonderful series this was. I am sorry to see it end.
I am shocked at how Jade dealt with Angel in the end, but I think it was the perfect ending, to a hard relationship. Everything Nathan had done to not only Jade and Aiden but to all the group of UK & US Gens was terrible but wonderful.
This was amazing. The power of love between a child and their mom is the most powerful thing in existence. Things played out differently than expected however I am glad they did. I love being surprised at the ending and i was definitely not disappointed. Really really great. Loved it.
For a long time, as I continued to read this series, I felt the author jumped the shark after book 4 in the series. I kind of felt like she should have stopped there. However, I felt compelled to finish. In the end she tied up all the loose ends and the ending was decent.
So glad I decided to read the lot. Originally I planned to stop a few books ago but it was really a great ending to the series. There is still an opening for a follow up book later though. Well worth the read.
For me this series was on a downward spiral from day one, but I kept reading it for reasons still unknown to me today. I definitely liked the Unearthly Paradox series better, but I probably won't be reading any more of Kelly's books.
What a series! Loved it! It did get a little repeatative but the ending was fabulous and not how I thought it was going to end. Definitely give this series a go.
Loved the book. Don’t want to add spoilers, but one part was too quick with not enough detail. Really liked the book and think it was a great ending to a series.
Loved this entire series. It kept me from start to finish for them all. Completely love the whole family. Completely messed up and all made it all that more enjoyable and enthralling.
This series has been difficult to get into. However it was well worth the time and energy to read the whole series. If you like mystery and intrigue, this book is worth your time.
I'm not really sure how I feel about this book, so I'm not giving it a star rating. It was nice to have the story wrapped up, but then the pregnancy and the ending with Angel just felt off. Most of this felt like hurry up and wait. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I may have more questions now than before I read the book.
This was a great ending to a great series. I was very afraid it was going to be a blood bath in the end and was very grateful it was not. The ending was a surprise though, well at least the solving of the problem was a surprise. There were so many things that were a surprise actually and I enjoyed everything right up to the end.
I loved this series so much I had to go and find free wifi abroad to download the last book! I am now devastated they are over. You will not be disappointed if you like young adult fantasy. Great characters. Great story and tied up lovely in the end.
Even though I loved the series I feel like the ending of this book was so anticlimactic and rushed. We waited the whole book for the big fight and it was over almost as quick as it started.
Perfect ending for this awesome series well worth the read. Jade is determined to save the world will she succeed or are there to many forces against her
