"You and I both know nothing good's ever gonna happen between us."
Alannah Darque waited over ten years to reunite with the love of her life. Thirteen years, two months, and eleven days to be precise. Unfortunately, when Jeremy finally came home from university it was with a girl on each arm and she all but lost hope that they'd ever be together.
Until one night in a club they share a soul-searing kiss that belies their years of hidden passion. Now, Alannah is determined to find out what really went wrong all those years ago and why Jeremy has spent so long denying their love.
*This is a complete, standalone short story with no cliffhanger. Contains a steamy love scene.*
Even though I like to short well enough I was little confused. Alannah and Jeremy had some kind of relationship in their youth but due to some family drama I guess that's what ended the relationship. They're both older now he's back in town and she's thinking now they can be together but things don't work out according to plan. Me personally I don't like Jeremy I think he played mind games with Alannah if he wanted to be with her he would've let so much time go by. Alannah was a fool for waiting for Jeremy for so long I would have been moved on but then again the heart wants what the heart wants.
Pride & Panther (Love Tails, #3) by Rosanne Graystone
Alannah has always known that Jeremy was the one. They had some time together, then he left and every-time he came home he had a different girl with him.
Jeremy is home again and Alannah figures she is going to have to watch him flaunt his women again.
Jeremy wants Alannah, but there are things she doesn't know and until she does they just can't be together. He just needs her to do some digging, to find out why her mother feels the way she does. Then, maybe, they can work on them.
My thoughts:
I really liked this story. Just goes to show how the past can put some many obstacles in your way.
I was given a complimentary copy for an honest review by author Rosanne Graystone. This is book 3 from the series Love Tails by the author.
Alannah Darque knew when they were younger that Jeremy Meadows was her one. But because of her mother they could not be together and now he is back in town after 13 years with a different woman every time she sees him. Can their past together help or hamper them once it comes the light of day.
The flow of the story was amazing and the character interactions was so riveting through out the whole book. I had a hard time putting it down because it was so good.
The story is short, sweet and hot. You get a taste of Alannah and Jeremy, how life has kept them apart even though they most definitely feel that they belong together as mates. What is the secret between their families? Will they be able to find each other? The characters and story are well developed but the end comes way to soon. It definitely left me wondering what will happen next. Hopefully, the author continues on with this storyline.
