This book.....is completely amazing and I give it 5 stars because I adored the story and this book is nothing like I have ever read before. The storyline was perfect in my opinion! I would talk about it but I would rather not ruin anything for anyone ;)

The only issues I had with this book is that it was from a third person's point of view, and I'm use to reading from first person. Even though that bothered me at first, halfway through I got use to reading it. Plus that style of writing did not change my mind about giving this book 5 stars.

Honestly, (at least in my opinion) I feel like the Twilight series kind of copied this book. I know that a lot of books are similar, or have similar plots, or say similar things, but certain things in this book that are mentioned, you kind of see it in Twilight. Since this book was published years before Twilight, I feel as though Stephenie Meyer has read this book and took ideas from it!!!! lol.. I can be completely wrong, just my opinion! XD

But yes, I give this book 5 stars<3

This adventure is a fairy tale for adults. The setting is a mountain top in rural Vermont complete with rare foliage, a handsome farmer, an aging beauty (who happens to a be a renown artist) and an apprentice.
There is magical encounters, food, and creatures throughout. I have erased more of this review than appears because I don't want to give away any of the joy as it unfolds.
A love story? Yes!

The story line on this gets 5+ stars. LOVED it! Excellently done. And her character cast is also 5 stars. Very real, true, moving characters. Great depth of writing. The only thing that moves this down is the book felt a little wooden. Since I rate by how much I enjoy the book, I give it 3 stars. Everything but the writing itself was fabulous. And the writing was very good, it just felt a bit wooden. Still, highly recommend the book and will read others by her.

One of Mary Alice Monroe's early novels. Just a nice fantasy/love story. It kept my interest from beginning to end. Sweet!
